After that, Jasper continued walking deeper into the forest.

Under a Pecha Berry tree, Jasper was picking the Pecha Berries.

These Pecha Berries, which had detoxifying effects, were quite useful in Viridian Forest.Full novel: Pokémon: My Starter Is the Crystal Onix — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

They were also one of the few Berries that Trainers could eat directly, and their taste was somewhat similar to peaches from Earth.

He picked nearly twenty of them and placed them into his Berry case.

The Berry case could effectively keep these Berries fresh.

Ignoring the few Mankey that had been knocked unconscious nearby, Jasper recalled the Crystal Onix and immediately left this place.

He had only taken a small portion from the tree, so it would not cause too much of an impact.

Then he continued heading deeper into the forest.

Along the way, he encountered quite a few wild Pokémon that did not know what was good for them, but the Crystal Onix dealt with them one by one.

After wandering through this forest for several hours, Jasper finally discovered the Pokémon known as one of the overlords of Viridian Forest.

At this moment, Jasper was hiding in a patch of grass, his eyes fixed firmly on the Beedrill in the distance that were picking Oran Berries.

After discovering these Beedrill, Jasper immediately gathered some fresh leaves and grass, crushed them, and smeared the green juice squeezed from them onto his body.

Borrowing the scent of grass and leaves, he used it to cover up his own smell.

He carefully observed those Beedrill.

Their bodies were divided into three sections.

On their heads were two ruby-like eyes, with two antennae growing from the top.

Their abdomens were oval-shaped, and all four of their limbs were attached to them.

Their tails were striped yellow and black, with a huge, terrifying poisonous stinger at the end.

Their legs were slender, and both arms had white spear-like needles.

On the two pairs of wings on their backs were intricate patterns, and as their insect wings beat rapidly through the air, they made a buzzing sound.

Immediately after, they flapped their insect wings and flew away from this place.

Seeing this, Jasper carefully followed behind them.

After all that Beedrill had an extremely strong sense of territory, especially in the areas near their hive.

Once they discovered an outsider appearing there, they would angrily attack in a whole swarm.

Because of that, Jasper was extremely cautious and trailed them from far behind.

He followed them for more than an hour.

During that time, the Beedrill stripped the fruit trees along the way clean.

Jasper followed them all the way and finally found the location of their hive.

Several times, he had nearly been discovered.

Fortunately, he was wearing a specially made green camouflage outfit, and the scent on his body was masked by the juice of plants and trees.

He blended perfectly into the surrounding environment, and only then did he successfully avoid the Beedrill’s investigation.

The Beedrill carried large amounts of Berries and flowers as they flew toward a massive dove tree.

Looking carefully, countless Kakuna shells were hanging from the dove tree, waiting for the day they would break out of their cocoons.

After all that the evolution cycle of Bug-type Pokémon was already short to begin with.

Although these Kakuna shells currently could not move, if they were disturbed, they might evolve into Beedrill at any moment.

Jasper immediately used his handheld computer to record this location, then quietly left the area.

Since he already knew the exact location of the hive, Jasper decided to leave first and make a thorough plan before taking action.

He would first find a hidden place nearby to settle down, then begin investigating the surrounding situation tomorrow.

The sky was already becoming increasingly dark. Find the original chapter at g.com.

After the sun set, darkness fell much faster, especially inside the forest.

It became even more obvious here.

In just a short moment, visibility around him had dropped significantly.

Inside a tree hollow nearly three kilometers away from the Beedrill hive, Jasper scattered some insect-repelling powder around the hollow to drive away mosquitoes and some Bug-type Pokémon.

At the same time, he wrapped a ring of transparent thread with bells attached around the trees on the outer perimeter.

After making a simple disguise, he had created a crude alarm device.

Once a person or wild Pokémon broke in, he would be able to discover it immediately and prepare himself.

The night passed without incident.

Early the next morning, Jasper began gradually investigating the area around the Beedrill hive while planning his routes for both action and escape.

If he wanted to obtain the honey inside the Beedrill hive, he first had to lure away all the Beedrill from the hive.

After that, dealing with the unevolved Kakuna inside the hive would be much easier.

Jasper had already planned a method for this long ago.

He could use the Beedrill’s habit of calling their companions.

After all that a single Beedrill was not very strong, but once this kind of Pokémon was attacked, it would send out a signal to call its companions.

At the slightest provocation, someone could be chased down by an entire swarm of Beedrill.

This was also the biggest reason they were so terrifying.

Jasper planned to use the screams of Beedrill to lure all the Beedrill inside the hive out.

Before setting off, he had specially prepared three customized alarm clocks.

The alarm sound of the clocks had also been deliberately adjusted to the screams of Beedrill.

He would place the alarm clocks one after another at a certain distance from the Beedrill hive.

Once the time came, the Beedrill that heard the screams would definitely swarm out, and they would be drawn farther and farther away by the sounds of these alarm clocks.
