Karl felt like his ears were playing pranks on him.

Why else would Rai say such a ridiculous thing?

“Five?” He asked.

Rai nodded.

“You’ve never been too interested in cultivation, so you might not know.

But every child in Salibion has been cultivating since birth.

The least talented ones would have even reached the middle stage of the Foundation Level at 5.”

Karl listened patiently.

His lips pursed.

Rai was wrong, though.

Karl Dawnspire had always been interested in cultivation.

He only suppressed the urge after his father continuously advised him against it.

However, that wasn’t Karl’s problem at the moment.

No one above 5 was at his level?!

“Did that mean that I can only spar with kids around 2 or three years old?” He didn’t believe it.

Even though his memories told him he was right, Karl still didn’t want to believe it.

Didn’t that mean the only ones he could compare to right now were the kids who couldn’t even speak properly?

Then, what about his dream of becoming a student at the academy?

When the weakest servants at the estate had the cultivation level at the Sky realm.

What about the students at the academy?

‘Right.

Neil was also at the Sky Level.’

‘Damn it!’

He’d been so proud.

“Then, who can I spar with?” He had to consolidate his realm, right?

Rai blinked and lowered his head.

“Lord should carry some weights and try to train alone.” His voice grew tinier the more he spoke.

“Fuck!” Karl cursed out loud.

Nothing could be more annoying.

However, Karl also felt a little excited.

After hearing how strong everyone was, he was even more determined to grow stronger.

In the future, he would stand beside Varek as the most powerful person in Salibion.

No one could take that away from him!

“Serve the lunch first.” He waved his hand, suppressing the hot blood pumping through his veins.

An hour later, Karl stepped out of his room and went toward the courtyard.

As Rai said, the only way to consolidate his cultivation would be to exercise or carry some weights.

Karl believed there should be more than enough things for him to carry in the courtyard.

Even though it was his first time going there.

Rai led him to the open space.

The place was vast.

Calculated safely, Karl felt like it should be about a hundred or more meters wide.

His smile grew.

The place was filled with rocks.

From small ones to big ones.

They were scattered across the ground.

Rai pointed to the place.

“His Grace prepared this for you, Lord.”

Karl’s eyes widened.

“Varek is so good.” He smiled softly.

“Wait, when did he prepare it?”

“Three days ago.

While you were cultivating.”

Karl’s smile widened.

Varek had always prepared things ahead for him.

He really wanted to grow really strong and protect Varek in the future…

Karl didn’t waste any more time.

He approached the smallest rock in the courtyard and picked it up.

The rock was about 100kg.

Something he’d never have been able to carry in his past life with his scrawny build.

However, he carried it relatively easily now.

Karl’s face bloomed.

He lifted the rock above his head and dropped it to the ground after a few minutes.

He approached a bigger rock, which was about 250kg, and lifted it, too.

It was heavy, and his muscles seemed strained.

Karl gritted his teeth and forced himself to lift it to his chest.

Sweat clung to his forehead.

The rock was truly heavy.

Yet, Karl didn’t give up.

He groaned painfully as he lifted the rock past his chest toward his neck.

Then, upward.

His veins stretched taut.

Sweat dripped down his hair toward his chin.

The spiritual energy in his body suddenly moved.

It coursed through his body, reaching toward his nerves and all the open channels in his body.

The egg-form energies rolled, releasing a long line of energy toward his arms.

Karl closed his eyes, let out a low shout, and forcefully raised the rock to his head.

He held his breath and held the rock away from his eyes.

After six breaths, Karl threw the rock to the ground.

The loud thud reverberated in the air for a few seconds before it stopped.

His arms ached all over, and his body felt devoid of energy.

He closed his eyes, feeling the spiritual energy within him.

Karl was surprised to realize that the egg-form energies in his abdomen had grown faint, as if they were devoid of spiritual energy.

He frowned slightly.

Holding his waist with his trembling hands, Karl sat on the ground and closed his eyes.

Soon, he felt the energy in the air again.

The energy reacted the moment he tried to attract it and flooded toward his body.

Karl pushed the rich spiritual energy toward the egg-like form.

No, he should rather call it a spiritual crystal…

This was the name he got from Karl Dawnspire’s memory.

Every cultivator in Salibion had a spiritual crystal when they began cultivation.

This was like a spiritual storage toward the eventual breakthrough to the Earth Level…

Time passed.

A little more than an hour later, Karl stood up with a refreshing smile on his face.

The two spiritual crystals in his abdomen had grown thicker and deeper again.

He had regained the spiritual energy he lost while training.

Karl didn’t continue to rest.

Instead, he approached the rock again and lifted it in the air.

It was still as heavy.

He brought it toward his chest and then toward his head.

Karl held it longer this time…

“This feels so good.” He murmured, blinking away the sweat that threatened to enter his eyes.

Karl continued this training for three days.

On the third day, he threw the massive rock to the ground and grinned.

“Now, I can carry it pretty easily.” He felt really excited.

With this much strength, Karl felt like he was more than a dozen times more powerful than he was back in the slum.

He could even stand against that man in the run-down building now and beat the man up.

He wouldn’t die so easily anymore…

His smile widened.

He wiped the sweat from his forehead and breathed slowly.

“My rank is consolidated, and the spiritual energy seems a lot thicker than before.”

“I should try reaching the third rank now.”

Karl sat on the ground and closed his eyes.

After days of training, he felt himself bursting with strength and knew it was time to try breaking through to the next level.
