Kicked Out of the Hao Family
Hearing Hao Yi’s voice, Ding Xuan habitually shrank his shoulders and answered in a low voice, “They kicked us out. They said… they said…”
“Said what?” Hao Yi asked again.
Ding Xuan pressed his lips together. He was terrified that once he finished, Hao Yi would hit him.
Because Hao Yi had been driven out of the Hao family.
And the reason he had been driven out was that he had married a man.
Ding Xuan was scared of Hao Yi to the point of death. His legs were still swollen even now, and he was trembling just standing there. If Hao Yi laid a hand on him, he did not know whether he could endure it.
Before, Hao Yi had even made him kneel on a board studded with nails, and had locked him in a room and lashed him with a spiked club. Just thinking about it now made Ding Xuan ache all over.
Now, it was because of him that Hao Yi had been thrown out of the house again. Although he knew this was only an excuse the Hao family had found, in the end he was still the one who suffered.
Ding Xuan did not answer, and Hao Yi was not in a hurry. He pointed to the flowerbed nearby and said, “Sit there.”
Ding Xuan looked up at Hao Yi in confusion, not understanding what Hao Yi wanted him to do by sitting there.
But he still followed Hao Yi’s words, wobbling over to the edge of the flowerbed and sitting down. Then he lowered his head uneasily.
Hao Yi said nothing. He opened the cap on the medicated oil in his hand, set it aside, then used his hand to roll up Ding Xuan’s trouser leg.
Ding Xuan glanced sideways at the thing set to one side and froze at once.
Medicated oil? Young Master really went to buy medicine?
Ding Xuan could hardly believe that Hao Yi had actually gone to buy medicine for him. He looked again at Hao Yi, who was lowering his head to inspect his knee, and saw Hao Yi take the medicated oil, pour some into his palm, and rub it back and forth until it was warm before pressing it onto Ding Xuan’s knee.
Although two medicinal ingredients were still missing, Ding Xuan’s knee still had to be treated. Enduring the pain like this was definitely not a solution. Once they found a place to stay, he would blend the other two ingredients into the medicine and have Ding Xuan use it.
That was what Hao Yi was thinking.
Ding Xuan naturally did not know what Hao Yi was thinking. He stared with wide eyes at Hao Yi, who was methodically rubbing his knee. Even though the rubbing made the pain in his knee flare up again and again, he seemed not to feel it at all. He still kept looking at Hao Yi, disbelief filling his eyes.
What on earth had happened? Why did Young Master suddenly seem like a different person?
At that moment, voices arguing suddenly came from what had originally been Hao Yi’s dormitory, drawing Hao Yi’s attention.
“There’s someone inside? Someone moved in?” Hao Yi asked, looking at the dormitory door.
Ding Xuan had forgotten his fear of Hao Yi. He shook his head and said, “It’s Second Young Master and a school staff member.”
Second Young Master? Wasn’t that this body’s biological younger brother, Hao Yu? And one who absolutely detested this older brother of his.
“What is he doing in there?”
Ding Xuan looked toward the dormitory entrance and said, “Second Young Master is negotiating with the people inside.”
Hao Yi handed the medicated oil to Ding Xuan and said, “Keep rubbing it. I’ll go take a look.”
With that, he stood up and walked toward the dormitory entrance.
As soon as he stepped inside, he saw a tall, refined-looking boy pointing at a large man and yelling at him about something.
When he saw Hao Yi come in, Hao Yu immediately shouted at him, “You still have the nerve to come in? If you hadn’t been fooling around outside, would you have been kicked out of the Hao family!!! Get out!”
Clearly, he cared about this older brother of his to death, yet his mouth deliberately spat out such vicious words. Hao Yi could only let out a helpless sigh. He walked up to Hao Yu, then said to the man, “Moving out is fine, but I have one condition.”
“What condition?” The man was the person in charge of this school. He handled many things, so for many matters, he could make decisions directly.
Before Hao Yi could speak, Hao Yu suddenly shoved Hao Yi hard and snapped, “What the hell are you talking about! Get out already! I’m handling this! Out, I said!”
This kid. Clearly he was the older brother, all right? Why did it feel like this kid had become his older brother instead?
“Xiaoyu, you don’t need to worry about my business. Go back,” Hao Yi said harshly as well.
His second uncle, Hao Jiantian, had driven him out, so of course he also wanted to drive out this younger brother of his. It had been easy to find an excuse to kick Hao Yi out, but there was no reason to drive Xiaoyu out, because Xiaoyu was extremely well-behaved at home, and that was why he had Grandpa Hao Junfeng’s protection.
If Hao Jiantian found out now that Hao Yu cared so much about this loser of an older brother, Hao Jiantian would probably come up with some rotten idea to deal with his younger brother again.
Hearing Hao Yi say that, Hao Yu’s whole face turned red with anger. He pointed at Hao Yi’s face and stammered, “You… you…” several times, before finally shouting in fury, “Go to hell! I’m never going to bother with you again!!!”
After saying that, Hao Yu ran out of the dormitory without looking back…
