“Clang!
Clang!
Clang!
Clang!”
The sound of an Adamantium blade colliding with twin swords echoed nonstop.
Sparks bloomed in the air one after another as Weapon XI’s flickering figure continuously pursued Alex with a relentless barrage of attacks.
Yet at this moment, the smile on Alex’s face only grew wider.
Weapon XI’s attacks were still as fierce as a raging storm, but now that Alex had gradually figured out his patterns, the pressure was becoming lighter and lighter.
He handled each strike with increasing ease.
Several times, he had nearly turned the tables and killed Weapon XI instead.
Because he had already discovered the flaw in Weapon XI’s teleportation!
So-called teleportation referred to moving so fast that relocation happened instantly.
Alex wasn’t unfamiliar with such an overpowered ability.
Back in his previous life, countless Japanese anime featured similar powers—like Dragon Ball, Pokémon, Saint Seiya, and many others.
But the one that left the deepest impression on him was an anime called A Certain Magical Index.
In that series, superpowers were developed scientifically, and space manipulators functioned similarly to Weapon XI before him.
Space users calculated their coordinates in eleven-dimensional space, then located a destination in three-dimensional space through those calculations.
Like folding a sheet of paper so two distant points touched, creating zero distance between them—that was the principle behind “teleportation.”
There were four common movement types: Spatial Transfer, Coordinate Transfer, Blind Spot Transfer, and true Instant Teleportation.
After observing Weapon XI, Alex realized his power wasn’t genuine teleportation at all.
It was merely Spatial Transfer.
Nothing in this world was truly perfect.
Teleportation naturally had flaws as well.
Based on Alex’s years of obsessive anime research, teleportation generally suffered from three weaknesses:
Activation conditions.
Cooldown intervals.
Random transfer.
True teleportation ignored distance and time entirely.
But to use it, the user first had to sense the destination.
If they couldn’t perceive a location, they couldn’t teleport there.
That was the activation limitation.
Cooldown was self-explanatory—the delay between consecutive uses.
As for random transfer, while it could send someone somewhere without prior sensing, it lacked precision.
Aside from escaping, it was nearly useless in combat.
And with bad luck, teleporting straight into lava or in front of a gun barrel wasn’t impossible.
During the battle just now, Alex noticed something.
Every time Weapon XI teleported, he first had to lock onto Alex with his eyes.
If Alex moved before Weapon XI completed his transfer, the attack would miss completely.
And if Alex attacked his own previous position beforehand, Weapon XI would appear directly into the attack.
That meant Weapon XI’s teleportation was conditional spatial movement.
Its greatest weakness was simple—
Once teleportation started, Weapon XI couldn’t teleport again midway.
“Clang!” New chapters come out on g.com first.
Alex instantly vacated his original position, but the blade he swung was still effortlessly blocked by Weapon XI.
At this point, the fight had already lost its meaning.
“If that’s all you’ve got…” Alex casually said, “then prepare to die.”
Weapon XI answered exactly as expected.
Another teleport.
Another pair of deadly blades.
“Looks like it’s time.
I’ll send you on your way.”
Alex suddenly shot forward like lightning.
His sword lowered behind his right side while his left arm stretched slightly forward.
The starting stance of the Sword Draw Technique.
At the same time, Weapon XI used his eyes and combat instincts to predict Alex’s destination.
Teleportation activated.
His figure vanished instantly.
Just as the two were about to clash—
An unexpected disturbance happened in the neighboring room.
Wolverine and Sabretooth suddenly appeared.
Sabretooth’s bone claws had stabbed deep into Wolverine’s body, making Logan howl in pain.
“Logan, you’re too weak!”
Victor grinned savagely and hurled Wolverine at the wall.
BOOM!!
The impact blasted a massive hole through it.
Wolverine and chunks of rubble crashed straight into the adjacent room.
Sabretooth laughed wildly.
With a powerful leap, he chased after Logan and kicked him flying again.
“Logan!”
Kara cried out and rushed after them.
The moment she entered, her eyes widened.
“Sister…
y-you escaped?!”
“Sis!”
Emma screamed happily and immediately ran over to embrace her.
Meanwhile…
Whether Sabretooth did it intentionally or not, Wolverine’s flying body happened to be kicked directly toward Alex’s location.
And at that exact moment—
Alex’s Sword Draw Technique had reached maximum momentum.
Weapon XI had also teleported nearby.
And Wolverine…
Just happened to appear directly between them.
“…What the hell is this?!”
Alex nearly exploded from frustration.
But the attack was already released.
No stopping it now.
Left with no choice, Alex forcibly lowered the trajectory of his Adamantium blade, redirecting the strike toward the ground beneath them.
“Shinmei Style — Sword Draw Technique!!”
Fast as lightning.
Violent as thunder.
The blade struck the ground beneath Wolverine.
BOOOOM!!
Shattered stone exploded upward, the debris launching toward Wolverine and Weapon XI.
Of course, with their absurd healing factors, a few flying rocks meant absolutely nothing.
But then—
“Szzzt!!”
Weapon XI finally revealed his deadliest trump card.
Seeing Alex’s vision blocked by Wolverine, two crimson laser beams suddenly fired from his eyes.
The scorching rays tore through the air with ear-piercing force, instantly raising the battlefield temperature by over ten degrees.
The lasers were unbelievably powerful.
And even faster.
Almost the instant they appeared—
Wolverine got hit square in the face.
Honestly, Logan’s luck today was horrifying.
First Sabretooth kicked him through a wall.
Then Alex’s attack blasted him with flying rubble.
Before he even understood what was happening—
Two laser beams slammed into him.
Peak bad luck.
Anyone else would’ve died instantly.
But Wolverine was still Wolverine.
Even facing the sudden attack, he instinctively raised his Adamantium claws in front of him.
Combined with his absurd healing factor—
He blocked the attack completely unharmed.
“BANG!
BANG!”
Although the lasers failed to injure him, the impact force remained.
Suspended in midair, Wolverine had no way to resist.
So under the force of the beams, he was launched backward—
Straight toward Alex.
Alex had just unleashed his full-power strike and wasn’t prepared at all.
CRASH!!
Wolverine slammed directly into his chest.
The two were instantly sent flying together.
“WHAT THE HELL IS THIS RANDOM NPC DOING HERE?!?!!!”
