After confirming Kara and the others had safely left, Alex finally turned toward Sabretooth with a curious look.

“I’ve got a question.”

“You’re a mutant too, so why help humans experiment on your own kind?”Full novel: Psychic in Marvel World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

From Alex’s point of view, Wolverine had specifically asked him to rescue the mutants before leaving.

That meant Sabretooth—the guy opposing Wolverine—was obviously one of the people helping imprison mutants.

As a fellow “non-human,” Alex genuinely wanted to know why he would help humans torture his own people.

Of course, Alex didn’t know the full story.

Back then, Wolverine and Sabretooth had both worked under Stryker as elite operatives.

Quite a few mutants captured for experiments had been brought in by Wolverine himself.

Later, Logan switched sides and cut ties with Stryker and Victor.

After Silver Fox’s fake death, he infiltrated the island personally to settle everything once and for all.

Sabretooth simply shrugged.

“No special reason.”

“I just wanted a better life for myself.”

Alex blinked.

“That’s it?”

“Yep.

Got a problem with that?”

“…No.”

Alex suddenly smiled.

“So for your own comfort, you help humans play with your own people like toys.”

“Sabretooth…”

“You’re one guilty bastard.”

“Guilty?” Sabretooth laughed disdainfully.

“Humans experimenting on mutants is guilt.”

“But mutants hurting humans isn’t?”

“Let’s be honest.”

“Humans.

Mutants.

Animals.”

“Who living in this world is truly innocent?”

“Everyone’s guilty.”

“And since everyone’s guilty…”

“Who cares?”

Alex shook his head.

“No.”

“Someone does.”

Sabretooth frowned.

“What?”

Alex looked directly into his eyes.

“If you’re guilty, you’re dead.”

Sabretooth froze.

After a long moment, realization crossed his face.

“…You know the Punisher.”

“No wonder you dared storm this place alone.”

The Punisher was infamous.

Unlike superheroes, he wasn’t some shining symbol of justice.

He had no superpowers.

No cosmic abilities.

Just military training, brutal combat skills, interrogation methods, and absolute ruthlessness.

To criminals—

The Punisher was a nightmare.

Unlike heroes who locked villains up, Punisher simply killed them.

No mercy.

No second chances.

Sometimes he assassinated targets.

Sometimes he just showed up with enough firepower to erase an entire gang.

To both heroes and villains alike—

The guy was basically a lunatic nobody wanted to provoke.

Alex smirked.

“I didn’t come here because I know him.”

“I came because…”

The moment those words left his mouth—

He attacked.

Without warning.

Alex gripped his katana with both hands while spiritual power rapidly flowed into the blade.

Then—

He slashed.

“Shinmei Style — Iron Cleaving Flash!”

In an instant—

Spiraling sword energy exploded from the Adamantium blade.

The sword moved so fast it nearly vanished from sight.

SHHHHHK—!!

The air itself screamed.

Sword energy erupted from every direction and completely surrounded Sabretooth.

BOOOOM!!

The spiraling sword aura instantly destroyed half the ground around him.

Violent winds burst outward.

Sabretooth felt like he was standing inside a category ten hurricane.

After personally feeling the attack’s power—

How could he still act tough?

“AAAAAAHHHH!!”

Victor roared.

Covering vital points with his bone claws, he desperately charged away from Alex.

BANG!

BANG!

PSSSH!!

Bone claws collided against sword energy while countless attacks slashed into Sabretooth’s body.

Blood sprayed.

Clothes tore apart.

And then—

Came screams.

“AAAAAAARGH!!!”

After suffering over a dozen severe wounds, Sabretooth finally escaped the attack range miserably.

But immediately afterward—

His healing factor activated.

The injuries healed rapidly at a visible speed.

Less than five seconds later—

He was completely recovered.

Not a trace remained.

Alex suddenly appeared beside him.

“Is this all you’ve got?!”

Sabretooth instinctively turned.

Only to see—

A blade rapidly approaching his head.

“Don’t underestimate me, bastard!”

Faced with death—

Sabretooth exploded.

His speed suddenly increased by an entire level.

His right claw effortlessly blocked Alex’s sword.

At the same time—

His left claw drove straight toward Alex’s heart with unstoppable force.

WHOOSH!!

“Huh?!”

Even Alex got startled.

Caught completely off guard, his reaction slowed slightly.

By the time he recovered—

The claws were nearly touching his clothes.

Left without options, Alex forcibly pulled his sword back and retreated repeatedly, barely avoiding Sabretooth’s counterattack.

Oddly enough—

Sabretooth didn’t pursue him.

Instead, he calmly stood still and widened his eyes.

“Take my strongest ultimate move!”

Alex froze.

Strongest move?

Wait…

This guy can shoot laser beams too?!

Thinking of Weapon XI’s terrifying eye lasers, Alex’s face changed instantly.

Without hesitation—

He retreated wildly.

Not only that, he moved in an irregular Z-pattern while diving toward cover.

Laser beams moved at light speed.

If he didn’t prepare early, there was no way he’d dodge them.

WHOOSH!

WHOOSH!

Alex’s full-speed movement left several blurry afterimages across the battlefield.

But strangely…

Even after he safely hid behind cover—

Nothing happened.

No lasers.

No attack.

No strongest move.

“…Huh?”

Confused, Alex cautiously peeked out.

Then—

He saw Sabretooth running away.

Running like his life depended on it.

As if normal running wasn’t enough, Victor even threw in a few tiger leaps.

Within seconds—

He completely disappeared.

“…”

Alex stared blankly into empty space.

Black lines slowly filled his face.

At that moment, he felt like ten thousand alpacas were stampeding through his soul.

Somewhere nearby…

He could practically hear an invisible crow flying past while yelling:

“Baka!

Baka!”

“…No fucking way.”

“Sabretooth actually RAN?!”

Who would’ve guessed—

The guy who had just yelled “Take my strongest move!” would immediately turn around and flee?!

Clearly, Sabretooth realized he wasn’t Alex’s opponent.

So he shamelessly pulled a psychological trick.

And honestly…

Alex only fell for it because Weapon XI’s laser beams had traumatized him earlier.

Sabretooth never once said his ultimate move involved laser vision.

Alex scared himself.

This level of humiliation…

Was no different from someone shouting:

“LOOK!

A UFO!”

before punching you in the face.

The damage wasn’t physical.

No—

It directly attacked your soul.

And your IQ.

“GET BACK HERE, SABRETOOTH!!”

“I’M GOING TO CUT YOU INTO PIECES!!!”

The more Alex thought about it, the angrier he got.

He could practically hear steam hissing from both ears.

His face turned bright red.

Completely furious from humiliation, Alex roared and leapt out from behind cover, Adamantium blade in hand as he charged after Sabretooth.

A transmigrator who fooled everyone…

Had actually gotten fooled himself.

If he didn’t chop Sabretooth apart today—

How could he still call himself a transmigrator?!

…Sob…
