“Give time a little time?”

In a daze, Jiang Shu followed Ling An back to the villa he had just bought.

Jiang Shu noticed that this villa was very unusual, its location was extremely remote, and the gate wasn’t a fence gate but an iron one.Full novel: Quick Transmigration: Absorb Full Energy in Every World — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It was the first time Jiang Shu had ever seen such a thick iron gate.

There wasn’t much furniture inside, just the essentials tables, chairs, stools, and beds plus an old-fashioned radio.

Everything else was absent, making the villa feel very empty and quiet.

But considering Ling An had only just bought the place, it wasn’t surprising.

Ling An brought Jiang Shu to a guest room on the second floor of the villa.

He opened the door, and when Jiang Shu saw what was behind it, he covered his mouth in surprise.

In the room, there was a wardrobe and a table.

On the table sat his belongings from his uncle’s house.

As for the wardrobe, no need to guess, it must be filled with his clothes.

He pulled open the wardrobe doors, and sure enough, four shirts and five pairs of pants hung quietly inside, and nothing more.

After Jiang Shu finished taking stock of his things, Ling An led him to the master bedroom.

Jiang Shu didn’t really need to take inventory his belongings were few, and one quick glance told him whether everything was there.

Pushing open the master bedroom door, the room had clearly been renovated, though it was still very simple.

A large bed, a wardrobe, two desks with computers, chairs, and a small desk lamp.

The small lamp was on, its warm glow making the room feel incredibly cozy.

On the ride over, Jiang Shu had imagined many possible scenarios, but never this one.

Seeing this, Jiang Shu’s expression visibly relaxed.

Ling An had known from the start what this poor little villain was afraid of.

He pulled Jiang Shu into his arms and lowered his head to kiss his forehead.

“What, surprised?”

As for these intimate gestures, Jiang Shu had gone from shy at the beginning to taking them in stride now. He naturally leaned into Ling An’s embrace.

He gave a soft hum of acknowledgment.

“Because this is our home. It should be built together by the two of us.”

“Home?”

Hearing those words, Jiang Shu immediately looked up, his eyes full of disbelief.

“But… mm…”

Jiang Shu wanted to ask, what if you abandon me someday.

Sensing this thought, Ling An immediately sealed Jiang Shu’s mouth with his own.

He didn’t release him until the person in his arms was gasping for breath, the rims of his eyes flushed red.

“Don’t think about the future. Living in the present is what matters most. Time will prove my sincerity.”

Jiang Shu’s reddened eyes gave him a somewhat bewitching look, his peach-blossom eyes brimming with tears, speaking of unspoken affection.

His lips were kissed red and moist by Ling An, his face tinged with a faint flush that contrasted sharply with his fair skin, he looked exactly like a shapeshifted peach blossom spirit.

He gazed at Ling An, and Ling An, enticed by the sight, swallowed hard.

But then, remembering Jiang Shu’s frail little frame, he suppressed the stirrings in his heart.

Yet this time, it was Jiang Shu who leaned in, kissing Ling An’s lips, his cheeks, his Adam’s apple.

As he kissed, he pulled open Ling An’s jacket.

How could Ling An fail to understand Jiang Shu’s meaning?

He firmly pulled Jiang Shu away, and meeting those resentful little eyes, Ling An only found him adorable.

“Are you sure?”

“Of course.”

Hearing that answer, Ling An held back no longer.

He scooped Jiang Shu up in his arms and carried him into the room.

With one motion, he tore Jiang Shu’s clothes to shreds, and the sight of that fair body made Ling An swallow involuntarily.

But it was precisely because of that fair skin that the wounds and scars on his body looked all the more gruesome.

Ling An touched Jiang Shu’s gruesome scars with a heart full of tenderness.

The slightly cool hand gliding across his body made Jiang Shu shiver involuntarily.

“These scars are pretty ugly, aren’t they?”

“How could that be? I don’t think so at all. But could you tell me who gave you these wounds?”

“I’ve forgotten.”

“That’s okay then…”

With that, Ling An took off his own clothes.

The young man’s strong, well-proportioned muscles made it hard for Jiang Shu to look away.

Seeing Jiang Shu like this, Ling An stepped forward with an amused smile.

“If you like looking so much, come closer and look.”

“Come on, open your mouth.”

“Mmph…”

The night passed quickly, and the two of them slept until noon before waking.

Ling An got up and called the family driver to bring the housekeeper over to cook a meal.

Once the housekeeper finished cooking, Ling An had the driver take her back home.

Kissing Jiang Shu in his arms, Ling An gently coaxed him awake.

“Mmm… Hiss..”

Jiang Shu’s voice was hoarse beyond words. The slightest movement made his whole body feel like it was falling apart, and the pain made him hiss through his teeth.

“I’m not eating. I can’t get up. I want to sleep more.”

The hoarse voice couldn’t hide Jiang Shu’s exhaustion.

His eyelids drooped the moment he lifted them.

But Ling An saw how thin Jiang Shu really was, and he was genuinely afraid that if he slept now, he wouldn’t have the strength to get up again.

He went downstairs and ladled out a bowl of millet porridge, feeding some to Jiang Shu. Then he held him and they fell back asleep.

On Monday, the two went to school together, drawing plenty of stares along the way.

But both of their faces remained perfectly calm.

Back in the classroom, Ling An sprawled on his desk and went to sleep.

To him, since the apocalypse was coming anyway, studying this stuff was meaningless, he might as well enjoy himself.

Jiang Shu, meanwhile, was furiously scribbling away, catching up on homework.

Jiang Shu had slept the whole day yesterday and had no strength to get up at all, so he had no choice but to make up the work now.

Ling An wanted Jiang Shu to stop writing, hardly anyone in the class was even turning it in anyway.

The teachers all turned a blind eye and didn’t care at all.

But Jiang Shu just wouldn’t listen, so Ling An could only let him be.

When the class bell rang, Jiang Shu put away his homework and listened attentively to the lesson.

But halfway through class, the door was suddenly kicked open.

With a loud bang.

It startled the teacher and the students who had been dozing off and daydreaming.

Three thuggish delinquents walked in from outside and took their seats.

The teacher was used to it and couldn’t be bothered to intervene, so he simply continued lecturing.

When Jiang Shu saw the three of them, his body trembled involuntarily.

Those bad memories from the past were still vivid in his mind.

Sensing Jiang Shu’s sudden frightened shiver.

Ling An looked up and followed Jiang Shu’s gaze.

He saw Zhao Jian and Wen Liu, along with another burly boy.

Ling An had never seen him before.

But judging from how obsequious Zhao Jian and Wen Liu were acting toward him.

That must be the one called Lu Mingzhou.

He patted the back of Jiang Shu’s hand, signaling that he was here, so there was no need to be afraid.

Then Ling An turned around, grabbed the empty desk behind him, and hurled it straight at Lu Mingzhou.

Lu Mingzhou was sitting in the last seat of the second row, legs crossed, playing on his phone.

With the back door of the classroom wide open, Lu Mingzhou was sent flying by the desk, crashing into the corridor outside.

For a moment, the air turned eerily silent, broken only by Lu Mingzhou’s wails of pain.

The teacher at the podium coughed twice, said, “Class, self-study for the rest of the period,” and left.

After smashing the desk, Ling An took Jiang Shu’s hand and kissed it.

Jiang Shu’s heart pounded, and an indescribable thrill surged within him. But he was also afraid that Lu Mingzhou would come up to make trouble.

Ling An was all alone, while Lu Mingzhou had quite a few lackeys at this school.

Jiang Shu didn’t want to bring trouble to Ling An.
