6 – Competing with the Manly Bitch for the Fish Pond

Mo Yihan was diligently reviewing the latest game designs and backup plans at his desk.

After placing the coffee on his left side, Yu Ai prepared to leave.Full novel: Quick Transmigration: The Scumbag Cries While Eating My Ashes — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

“Wait.”

The man picked up the coffee and brought it to his nose, inhaling lightly. His tall nose bridge, handsome features, and sharply defined jawline gave him an air of elegance and aloofness, accentuated by his custom-tailored suit. As he tasted the coffee, his Adam’s apple bobbed.

If he didn’t speak, he actually looked quite refined.

“How did you get hired into the president’s office? After all this time, you still can’t even brew a decent cup of coffee?”

Yu Ai stood straight, lowering her head as she whispered, “I’m sorry. I’ve always worked in administration. Your coffee is usually prepared by a specialist—this is my first time doing it.”

Mo Yihan frowned. “If you can’t even handle something as simple as brewing coffee, how can I trust you to handle VIP guests?”

“Starting today, your first task is to brew a proper cup of coffee.”

“I—” Yu Ai began, only to be cut off again.

“What are you still standing there for? Go practice. By the end of the day, you must produce a cup of coffee that satisfies me.”

“Yes, President.” Yu Ai bowed her head and left, looking like a scolded child.

As soon as she stepped out of the office, Yu Ai heard 001 report: “Master, Mo Yihan’s favorability has increased by 1.”

Hah… So predictable. Do all Overbearing presidents like this kind of act?

…

Before the end of the workday, Chen Ming, recalling that Yu Ai had spent the entire day in the breakroom, finally spoke up. “Boss, you usually don’t hire personal secretaries. Yu Ai is in administration and hasn’t been trained for secretarial duties…”

Mo Yihan replied coldly, “What? Are you pleading for her?”

Chen Ming immediately shook his head. “No, no, of course not.”

“Hmph, every employee at our Mosheng Group graduated from a top university. If word got out that someone here can’t even brew coffee, we’d be a laughingstock.”

Chen Ming broke into a cold sweat internally. Was the coffee he drank just ordinary? The secretary in charge of grinding his coffee was a specially hired top-tier barista.

“Yu Ai previously applied for a transfer, and both Secretary Wang and HR had already approved it. This…”

Seeing the icy glare from his boss, Chen Ming fell silent.

Better not to guess the boss’s intentions. He just felt sorry for Yu Ai. He quite admired her—a top university graduate who worked diligently and without arrogance, unlike some who looked down on others despite their prestigious backgrounds. He wondered how she had managed to offend this cold-faced Buddha.

Everyone else had left for the day, but Mo Yihan was still working overtime, and Yu Ai was still grinding coffee in the breakroom.

Yu Ai had been grinding coffee all day, wasting several bags of coffee beans in the process.

Standing at the breakroom entrance, Mo Yihan saw the wasted coffee beans on the counter, and his cold expression twitched. These beans had been airlifted from overseas—a month’s supply, all wasted by this woman in a single day?

“Is this how you waste resources?”

“Ah—” The sudden male voice startled Yu Ai, causing her hand to jerk. The freshly ground coffee spilled all over her hand.

“It’s hot!” Tears welled up in Yu Ai’s eyes from the burn.

Mo Yihan grabbed her hand and quickly rinsed it under cold water. Her skin was already red and inflamed.

“Clumsy.”

Yu Ai noticed Mo Yihan’s arm encircling her and immediately pulled her hand back, taking a step away.

“Th-thank you, President.”

Mo Yihan narrowed his eyes and glanced at her. Yu Ai’s expression, as if she’d encountered a wolf, made him sneer. Where had all that fierceness gone when she slapped him before?”Do you have any idea how much money you just wasted?”

Seeing Yu Ai’s puzzled expression, Mo Yihan explained, “The coffee beans you wasted today are enough to buy a house.”

Yu Ai looked shocked. “I… I… Wasn’t it the president who told me to grind coffee?”

“I told you to practice, not to use these beans for practice. This coffee is pre-ordered from overseas, with a limited annual quota. You just used up a month’s supply in one go. What am I supposed to drink?”

Yu Ai’s expression turned fearful. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know. Sister Ya told me you only drink this kind.”

“Then how do you plan to compensate?”

The woman’s eyes widened, her face full of helplessness, reminding him of that night a few days ago.

Mo Yihan pulled the woman over and pressed her against the bar. Her delicate fragrance enveloped him, her body soft and pliant. Her surprised expression, with slightly parted red lips, stirred something within him as he gazed at her tender mouth.

He pulled her head closer and kissed her soft lips, teasing and tasting.

001: “Ding, Mo Yihan’s favorability +5.”

The woman beneath him struggled fiercely, but her small fists pounding against him had no effect.

When the kiss ended, Mo Yihan licked his lips, his expression suggestive.

Yu Ai shoved him away forcefully and yelled, “Pervert! Rapist! Get lost!”

001: “Ding, Mo Yihan’s favorability +6.”

Is this guy a pervert? Why does his favorability increase when I insult him?

“Rapist?” Mo Yihan sneered lightly. “Weren’t you having a great time that night too?”

Yu Ai’s cheeks flushed, whether from anger or embarrassment. Her voice trembled slightly. “Let’s pretend that night never happened. I… we should both forget it. From now on, just don’t cross the line again.”

“Cross the line? What do you think crossing the line means?”

Yu Ai looked up at him. “You’re the boss, and I’m just an ordinary employee. That’s all there is to it!”

She raised her voice, as if it gave her the courage to resist the man’s teasing.

“Hah.” Mo Yihan chuckled softly and slowly moved closer to Yu Ai.

Yu Ai stepped back, retreating until her back pressed against the door of the break room.

Mo Yihan leaned in, his hands braced against the door as he looked down at her. “Don’t you know what office taboos are?” He raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips, his tone seductive. “I happen to like this.”

“You!” Yu Ai was speechless.

001: “Ding, Mo Yihan’s favorability +3.”

Yu Ai thought to herself, typical Overbearing president, always into forced affection and door-slamming confessions.

“I’m telling you, this is rape! It’s illegal!”

“Oh?” Mo Yihan teased. “Illegal?”

“Perfect, then. I still have evidence. Let everyone see how wanton you looked in bed.”

Yu Ai’s eyes widened. “You’re despicable! You actually filmed it secretly! That’s a crime!”

“How can it be secret filming? Darling~ We were mutually willing. At most, it’s an affair.”

Not wanting to let Yu Ai off the hook, Mo Yihan continued, “Semen can remain detectable in the body for up to twenty-four hours without washing. Without a test report, you can’t file a case. Did you go to the police the next day?”

Seeing Yu Ai’s stunned expression, he gently stroked her cheek, his tone flirtatious and suggestive. “So, we were both willing.”

Wow, what a reverse legal education! This scumbag clearly took advantage of the original host’s timid personality and her fear of reporting to the police, shamelessly twisting the truth. If it weren’t for her mission, how could she let you act so arrogantly here? If encountering such scum in real life, she’d first beat them to a pulp, then recommend collecting evidence and calling the police—making sure villains rot in jail!
