5 – The Cannon Fodder Female Supporting Character of the Aristocratic Family Five

Beneath long, curled lashes lay a pair of captivating almond-shaped eyes, a delicate and straight nose bridge that carried a hint of ethereal purity, and soft pink lips that added a touch of allure to her beauty.

She was breathtakingly beautiful, enough to make one lose themselves.Full novel: Quick Transmigration: The Villain Rolls Freely in My Palm — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

For some reason, an image flashed through Gu Yunze’s mind.

What was wrong with him? Normally, he found women nothing but trouble!

“Hey, Yun, did you call for a hostess today? This one’s really something—is she for me?”

The man inside wearing a red floral shirt looked at Jiang Huai, his eyes filled with astonishment, and chuckled playfully.

Gu Yunze shot him a sharp glance, and Fu Nian immediately wiped the smirk off his face.

Jiang Huai’s beautiful eyes shifted, her voice as clear and melodious as a mountain spring, as she softly said, “Sorry, I must have walked into the wrong room!”

After speaking, Jiang Huai turned around, ready to leave.

Gu Yunze’s handsome brows furrowed slightly, his voice magnetic and pleasant as he called out to stop her, “Hold on. You just barged in and think you can walk away just like that?”

With her back to them, Jiang Huai couldn’t help but feel amused. Given how handsome he was, she decided not to make a fuss.

After all, looks like his were rare even in the Divine Abyss Country.

So this was Lin Xiaoxiao’s scheme—then this man’s identity must be extraordinary.

The system reminded her, “Host, this is the antagonist, Gu Yunze!”

What a coincidence—she had just seen his car, and now she was seeing him in person.

Jiang Huai turned around, her clear eyes meeting Gu Yunze’s slightly furrowed brows. “What do you want, then?”

A hint of menace flickered in Gu Yunze’s expression as he coldly regarded Jiang Huai, though his voice softened slightly. “Come here.”

Fu Nian didn’t dare utter a sound, afraid of ruining Yun’s mood, but his mind raced with thoughts—was Yun finally going to indulge tonight?

Lu Linshen was momentarily stunned, his heart pounding as he looked at Jiang Huai.

Jiang Huai didn’t move, letting out a light laugh, her eyes seductive and captivating. “Just because you tell me to come over, I have to obey?”

Gu Yunze stood up and strode toward Jiang Huai with steady, elegant steps. He raised his hand to lift her chin, the height difference allowing him to look down at her glistening almond-shaped eyes. His throat moved slightly.

“Who sent you? They’ve chosen the right person this time. Stay by my side, and I’ll give you anything you want.”

Jiang Huai raised her hand to swat his fingers away, letting out a cold laugh. “Hah, you don’t actually think I purposely walked into the wrong room to seduce you, do you? If I wanted your life, would you give it to me?”

Gu Yunze seemed to hear the biggest joke of his life, letting out a soft chuckle. “Heh, anything but my life. Status, position, luxury brands—take your pick.”

“I don’t care for any of it!”

Jiang Huai instantly lost all interest in him.

Her expression cooled as she turned and walked away briskly.

Gu Yunze’s eyes darkened, but this time he didn’t stop her. He could still feel the lingering warmth on his fingertips and the smooth, delicate skin he had touched earlier. Would it leave a mark if he pinched it gently?

They would meet again.

“Yun, why did you let her go? Women always play hard to get.” Fu Nian sounded disappointed, having hoped to see Yun finally indulge.

“I think that girl just now had such a strong personality—she must have genuinely walked into the wrong room, right?” For some reason, Lu Linshen didn’t want that girl, pure as an elf yet alluring as a siren, to be with someone as dangerous as Yun.

She should live carefree, not in constant fear.

“Heh, if she’s meant to be mine, she won’t get away.”Gu Yunze picked up his phone and sent a message to his assistant: “Get me all the information about the girl in white with black hair who just left my private room.”

Since he had taken an interest in her, there would certainly be more to come.

Only after Gu Yunze fell for that girl would he later realize how laughably overconfident he had been today.

If time could be rewound, he would never have left her with such a poor impression.

After Jiang Huai left the private room, she checked the time—it was already 11 p.m. She initially intended to head back, but upon reaching the elevator lobby on the first floor, she coincidentally ran into Lin Xiaoxiao and her group.

Seeing Jiang Huai unharmed, Lin Xiaoxiao assumed she hadn’t gone to the private room. With her friends and classmates present, Lin Xiaoxiao decided to preempt any exposure by taking the initiative.

Wearing a light purple short dress, Lin Xiaoxiao intimately linked arms with Jiang Huai, her voice sweet and melodious.

“Sis, what happened? I clearly told you it was room 509. Why are you only showing up now? Huiyan, this is my sister. You’ve probably met her before, right? That diary entry she wrote wasn’t intentional—please don’t take it to heart. How could my sister possibly have feelings for her younger sister’s boyfriend?”

As the male lead, Leng Huiyan was undeniably handsome. Glancing at Jiang Huai, he found her both beautiful and familiar. “Oh, it’s you. Last time I visited the academy to see Xiaoxiao, I noticed you had fallen and helped you up. Was it you who wrote in the diary confessing your admiration for me?”

Over a dozen of Lin Xiaoxiao’s friends stared at Jiang Huai with judgmental eyes.

Noticing the mocking curve at the corner of Leng Huiyan’s lips, Jiang Huai thought how unworthy the original host had been to fall for someone like him. She couldn’t let them tarnish the original host’s reputation.

Recalling plots from novels she’d read, Jiang Huai instantly channeled her inner drama queen.

Her eyes drooped as if deeply hurt. She gently pushed away Lin Xiaoxiao’s arm, her makeup-free face appearing somewhat desolate. When she lifted her gaze again, her almond-shaped eyes were glistening with unshed tears.

Clutching the hem of her skirt, she spoke in an utterly innocent tone, “Little sister, that diary was clearly given to me by you. You asked me to keep it for you—I had no idea what was written inside. That same day, the maid took it from my room and showed it to all of you, and suddenly everyone seemed to know about it. Why would you say such things about me…”

Her delicate, tearful expression evoked both desire and pity.

Fortunately, the original host’s diary had been brand new, unsigned, and later thrown into the trash by her angry stepfather. With no evidence left, Lin Xiaoxiao had no way to prove her claims. Hehe.

Lin Xiaoxiao was stunned that Jiang Huai, usually so quiet, dared to refute her. Temporarily speechless in her shock, she came across as guilty in others’ eyes.

Lin Xiaoxiao’s friends never imagined she would falsely accuse her own sister of coveting her boyfriend—such an accusation could cause significant damage to one’s reputation.

No sensible person would do such a thing, especially since Leng Huiyan himself admitted they had only met once.

It seemed the diary had actually been written by Lin Xiaoxiao and given to that girl. How cunning. And everyone present was a female classmate.

Lin Xiaoxiao had wanted to show off her handsome, wealthy boyfriend, which was why she had only invited female classmates. Little did she expect her scheme to backfire.

To make matters worse, her best friend wasn’t there to support her.

Amid the deafening music and swirling colorful lights, Lin Xiaoxiao grew increasingly agitated.

Her delicate brows furrowed, and her voice turned noticeably shrill.”I’m not! How can you say that about me? It was clearly you who liked Hui Yan’s diary, so how can you claim that I gave it to you?”
