Ryu could feel his strength…
It had felt, almost endless.
He clenched his fists, almost as if he could grip the very atmospehre within the room.
‘I don’t know whether I should thank Kisame, or hate him…’ Ryu didn’t pay it muh mind for the time being.
All he knew was that he was changing, and quite quickly at that.
Even his vision for example.
As if everything he could view was firmly within his grasp.
Except for Kisame that is.
That boy was many times above himself still, at least, he thinks so.
‘I’ll have to fight him again to test myself…’ Ryu then swiftly got himself ready for school.
Hhowever as he grew, he realized he was starting to out grow his uniform.
Anymore gains, and he wouldn’t be able to wear it anymore…

Ryu slowly made his way through the school gates that morning, his bag hanging loosely over one shoulder as he continued thinking about the changes he’d experienced since his last fight.
His body felt completely different now.
Stronger, faster, more responsive…
It was almost to an absurd degree: ‘Heh…
I still can’t believe that number…’ Ryu thought, remembering the 74.2 displayed on his status.
He hadn’t even properly tested what he was capable of yet, but there was already a noticeable difference in how his body felt when he moved…
As he walked through the courtyard, Ryu began noticing something else.
Several students were glancing in his direction, some only for a moment while others looked for a little longer before turning away.
Normally, he might not have noticed, but his enhanced perception made every little movement incredibly clear to him…
‘They’re looking at me…?’ Ryu realized, his eyes subtly shifting toward one group before returning forward: ‘I didn’t think the changes were that noticeable.’ He wasn’t drastically different, but compared to the skinny twig who had first arrived at this school, the difference was certainly there…

Ryu continued walking until he eventually spotted a familiar group near the entrance.
Hiroki and his friends were standing together, chatting about something until Hiroki noticed him.
The two briefly made eye contact before Hiroki gave him a small grin;
“Morning, Ryu.”
“Morning.” Ryu nodded, stopping briefly beside them: “How’ve you been?”
“Training…” Hiroki answered almost immediately, yet rather mysteriously: “You?”
“Well…
I’m trying not to get into any more fights…” Ryu said rather passively.
He really was.
All his fights and battles so far, they had always came to him.
Hiroki laughed: “Funny, considering who you are.” Hiroki realized that, if Ryu was in good condition: ‘He’s definitiely not the type to turn down any fight…’
Ryu sighed: “I’m kind of serious this time.”
They exchanged a few more words before Ryu eventually continued toward his classroom, leaving Hiroki and his friends behind: ‘Still…
I probably should take the whole money thing more seriously.’
That thought immediately dampened his mood…
He had already calculated roughly how long the money ROB had left him would last, and considering his current expenses, he probably had another month at best before things became a problem: ‘I need a job.’ Ryu slumped slightly in his seat as the thought crossed his mind: ‘There’s no way I can keep living off what I was given.’
He’d been so focused on understanding Overcome and getting stronger that he’d neglected one of the most basic necessities of living.
Money: ‘Great…
So I’m getting stronger, but I’m also getting poorer.’
The irony wasn’t lost on him.
Ryu packed his things and started walking home, his thoughts still occupied by his financial situation;
‘Maybe I can find some part-time work after school…’
He lowered his head as he walked, barely paying attention to where he was going…

Ryu had bumped into something?
‘What the…?’ He shook his head.
He staggered backward slightly before looking up…

The person standing in front of him was for the lack of a better term, enormous.
Ryu’s eyes slowly widened as he took in the youth’s size.
He easily stood above two meters tall, perhaps somewhere around 207 to 210 centimeters, with a massive frame that made the average person look tiny by comparison.
Yet despite his size, there wasn’t an ounce of unnecessary bulk to him.
His body looked densely packed with muscle, almost like someone had taken the trunk of a tree and somehow given it human form.
The giant youth looked down at Ryu with a surprisingly calm expression: “I’m quite sorry about that.”
Ryu blinked.
The youth continued: “I’d like to apologize in advance for bumping into you in such short notice.”
Ryu stared at him for a moment before scratching his cheek: “Uh…
It’s fine?”
He wasn’t even sure what exactly he was apologizing for at this point.
Ryu looked the giant over once more before asking: “So…
what do you need?”
The youth straightened slightly, his presence alone making the surrounding space feel smaller: “I should introduce myself first…
My name is Gonzo Kichi.”
Ryu waited…
“I’m also 18 years old, as well as a practitioner of both Sseserium, and Judo.” The large youth added.
“Uhm…
Okay?” Was all what Ryu could say.
He realized the guy seemed quite respectful and mannerable, if not quite an honest person…
Gonzo then calmly looked down at him: “And…
I would like to challenge you to a duel.”
Ryu’s expression went blank: “…Eh?”

You all might be wondering about the physicality stat a bit.
As you guys might have priced together, the human baseline is averaged up which equates to 1.
so that means if Ryu is a 12, he’s effectively 12 times stronger than a normal human overall.
nothing too crazy, but just a heads up, this number will reach rediculous heights in the very near future…
