Before I could say or react I was attacked not by a monster or anything like that but by my own sister. Who had launched herself at me at the speed of Mach Jesus. Reaching, and grabbing me around the waist while rubbing her check against mine.
Her hands like a vise hugging me way too tight. In a sense I was trapped unable to break free. It didn’t help that I was much smaller than her by about a head.

“OH MY GOOOOD YOU SO FREAKING CUUUTE” she said. “Omg how did this happen… who cares it doesn’t matter I’ve been blessed with such an adorable little sister. Just stay like this from now on who need a brother anyways!!!”

Finally extricating myself from her kung fu grip turning to her. I put on my best intimidation face. Unfortunately In Charlie’s eyes what she saw was me stomping my foot crossing my arms over my chest my cheeks puffing out in a pout.
“Eeeheheh… Charlie was now lost in the cuteness “Kris you’re just to cute!”she cooed stopping my rage rant in its tracks.
“What?!” I glared at her.
“Why mee dammit!!!!” I was getting more, and more angry at this stupid situation.
Letting out a sigh of exasperation. I squatted down hugging my knees and aura of depression surrounding me as I lamented my bad luck.
“Aww it’s ok Kris it’s not like it really matters it’s just a game.”
she said patting me on my head mussing it up.
“Plus you spent so much money on it why not just let it go and enjoy having fun.”
I looked up at her tears steaming down my face. My face streaked with wetness as I spoke. (´༎ຶོρ༎ຶོ`)
Yeah I guess that’s true…”I sniffed trying to pull myself together. Standing up I looked at my sister who currently had stars for eyes.
Yep she’s lost it I thought to myself. A sigh escaping my lips.
“It’s not like it will kill me cmon Charlie let’s go. We gotta go meet up with everyone. I might as well get this over with not like I can change the situation anyways.”walking through the square.
“Plus if they make fun of me I’ll just beat them up!”trying and failing again to be intimidating.
“They said that they would be waiting at the west gates of the town.” Quickly pulling up a map and locating the west gate.
I started walking but as I did I tripped and fell flat on my face hands outstretched.
“OWWW that huurrrt!!”
A groan escaping from my prone form. I pushed myself up unknowingly sitting in a duck pose as I rubbed my nose teary eyed I looked over at my sister who was rushing over to help me up.
“Oh my are you alrig-!! She stopped mid sentence. And stared at me looking up at her my cheeks flushed in embarrassment.

“Hey sis you got a nose bleed are you ok?”
She snapped out of her transe at my question.
“ Huh.. oh probably just over heated, but I should be asking you that.”concern in her words as she helped me up from the ground.
“Yea I’m ok it’s just that my sense of balance is off because of these things stuck to my chest.”I responded exasperated.
“I don’t know if I can get used to it. Come on let’s get going or those three will leave without us.”
I pulled her along as we headed to the west side of town. Charlie looking happy as I grabbed her hand. It took us about 15 minutes walking through the busy streets to get there. The sights and sounds all around us as we walked.
The smell of the baker putting fresh bread out. The clang of metal as the blacksmith hammered on a glowing hot sword. Throwing sparks everywhere. Making the immersion very real as we walked. I was constantly looking at the surroundings taking everything in. It looked so real even the feeling of everything was all to real.
“Man I have to say this game is insane with the detail.” I mused trying to forget all the thing that had happened since logging in.
“Yeah I know it’s like we’re really here in a different world.” Charlie’s words sounding from behind me.
“And the smell of the food stalls is very enticing as well!”
Everywhere we looked there were players and NPCS walking past us the whole way we kept getting stares from the players. Making me feel a bit uncomfortable. Catching hushed whispers as we walked past making my face flush red again.
“Woah.. look at those two they look like sisters. So pretty!”
“I wonder if I could send them a friend request?” This coming from a very buff looking warrior.
“I don’t know man that small one looks like she’d bite you’re head off first and ask questions later.”
“Aaah, so cute if I could have a girlfriend like that I would spoil her rotten!”
The vein in my forehead was bulging, as I was about to start yelling at them to get lost. I was caught off guard by Charlie stopping, and turning to the group of whispering guys, to yell at them before I had a chance to. Her eyes growing cold. Her voice dripping with derision. She was pissed. These guys had no class she thought to herself
“Hey , keep your filthy thoughts to yourselves. You can’t have my sister she’s to pure for the likes of you louts!!!!! GET LOST!!!”

she finished with a huff turned , and grabbed my hand dragging me behind her. Leaving the now terrified group of guys behind. Wondering what went wrong. As we continued walking west I spoke quietly with a pout. As Charlie still looked pissed.
“Hey sis I’m glad you stood up for me and all but….” I was cut off mid sentence as he said
“But nothing…Kris you’re a very pretty girl right now you have to watch out for creeps like that. If you’re to soft the will take advantage of you. Like they say give a guy an inch and he’ll take a mile.
“Yeah yeah I get it, but you’re a girl to you know. No need to be so protective. I can take care of myself.”
I said pounding my chest. My cheeks burning as I was rewarded with a soft bounce making my sister laugh at my antics.
“Pfft! to adorable Kris I can’t even with you right now.”╰(*´︶`*)╯“Give your big sister a hug!!!”
she said lunging for me. I was ready this time managing to dodge her onslaught. Leaving her looking dejected as I walked on.
“I am not a teddy bear sis. I’m a man her “pfft” like an arrow in my chest.
“Man?? Where, I don’t see a man here who’s a man?” She teased
As we drew near where Lucas Riley and Nate were waiting I started to get nervous. Unconsciously hiding behind my sister as we approached.
“Hey Lucas… hey you guys!! Are you here!!”
My sister called out making my nerves tighten even further. Standing under the eaves of the western gate were three figures that tuned to us at my sister’s call. They started our way as they got closer their avatars became more clear. Looking like a motley crew of misfits. One of them started speaking.
Lucas was a large figure decked out In heavy plate armor glistening white in the sunlight a large round shield strapped to his left arm accompanied by a very big zweihander sheathed at his back almost as tall as himself wich was impressive. Seeing as he stood almost six and a half feet tall towering over the others. A mop of brown hair and grey eyes looking down at the world around him.
“Hey… is that Charlie!!! He boomed. His voice sounding like heavy stones grating against one another.
“ I din’t think you liked games what are you doing here. Crap I guess real names in game should be avoided sorry char.” He said after noticing her gamer tag above her head. Laughing heartily.
“Hiya char!!” Said a beast kin girl Riley, bouncing up to Charlie giving her a quick hug.
“It’s been to long I’m so happy you’re here playing to!” Her grey pointed wolf ears on top of her head twitching with delight and her tails swaying to and fro.
She was clad black leather armor over a white linen blouse. Black trousers with knee length leather boots, and twin daggers attached to the belt at her waist. Her excitement palpable. Her easy going aura making everyone else feel at ease around her making others want to be close her.
Lastly came Nate, He looked ancient… long white beard down to his waist and white hair to accompany it pulled back into a tight pony tail. With eyes a black as coal aa well as a large black cloak over grey robes. His staff being the most colorful thing about him. Made out of elder wood a knurled length. With a mass of roots and nots at the top, and a plethora of multi colored stones peaking out in different directions. Giving off a feint wavering force that made your hairs stand on end if you got to close to it.
Each of them looked at Charlie and then at me hiding behind her like a cornered rat. Trying to go full ostrich wishing I could just dissolve into air without notice.
“Who’s that Charlie a friend of yours?” Came Nate’s voice sounding like he looked
Riley came around Charlie to get a better look at me as the other two looked on curiously.“Hi I’m Riley.”she held out her hand with a smile on her face. “What’s your name cutie.”
Without warning Charlie grabbed me by the shoulders as if to present me to them in all my glory. A smug look on her face. As I looked at her with pleading eyes.
“CHAR-“ My voice caught in my throat as I saw the evil grin creep across her face.
“ Every one say hello to Kris!!!”she jeered.That’s it social death my life is over. I covered my face with my hands as it turned a deep shade of crimson. Steam coming from me like a hot kettle.

The three of them in unison lost their collective minds. As I just stood there unable to speak at all. Charlie’s laugh at their reaction Riley was the first to move as she did the same thing Charlie had squeezing me while rubbing her cheek against mine. Prompting Charlie to do the same to my other cheek both giddy with it.
Babbling about how adorable I was. Meanwhile Lucas gave me a look of pure sympathy. Good old Lucas you could always count on him to be in your corner in times of need.
Nate on the other hand had collapsed to the ground laughing hysterically. Tears of mirth coming from his eyes at my predicament. Rolling around clutching his side as he lost the battle with air.
“Damn dude that sucks. How did it happen… I mean the pod is supposed to register your biology. It’s not supposed to be able to happen.
After extricating myself from Riley and Charlie after much struggling, and complaining,
“ what are you guys, we’re adults here quit being so clingy!!!!” I admonished the two puffing my cheeks in anger.
Turning to Lucas as the only sane person left I explained everything. From the weird flash of a burning city to my absent mindedness of accepting the account information.
Even the random character build due to his comment on the phone earlier. Making Nate who had started to calm back down Burst into another fit of laughter. As I rolled my eyes at him.
“ WHAT ARE YOU LAUGHING AT YOU CRUSTY OLD FART!!!!” I yelled in his direction.
Getting a reaction I wanted from him as he stopped laughing and became serious.
“Hey I’m a wizard ok they are supposed to be old and wise. Who’s ever heard of a young wizard it’s all about the astetics. “ he retorted.
I smirked at his explanation.“Well laugh all you want. At least I’m not as old as dirt like you’re crusty ass!”
Charlie rapped me on the top of my head. The sharp pain making me hold my head with my hands.
“What was that for sis!” I whined.
“Pretty girls shouldn’t use such foul language it’s unbecoming.” She scolded
“Anyways came Lucas we need to get going if we’re gonna gain any levels at all today” he said placating
“Common everyone let’s party up and add each other as friends “ as he sent and invited to everyone.
As we all accepted I could see everyone’s name in the corner of my vision along with their heath bars and mana bar.
“Alright everyone let’s head out!!!”٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
My excitement getting the better of me as we made our way outside the western gate into the unknown.
