“Logically speaking, yes, but I’m the one who saw it first.
If you want to take it, wouldn’t you need my permission?” Tang Wanwan suddenly felt a toothache; this ghost faced man, could he be a fool?
“But you can’t prove you were here first, right?
So there’s nothing you can do about it!”
After saying this, Tang Wanwan quickly broke off a branch and struck the beehive.
“Then can you share some honey with me?
I just want a little,” the person seemed to think for a long time before finally saying.
In no time, Tang Wanwan had the hive shaking and swaying, and plenty of bees poured out.
She then used the branch to collect some yellow honey and then directly threw the branch on the ground.
She didn’t expect this trick to work so well; the bees smelled the sweet scent of honey and immediately all flew off with a “whoosh,” leaving the beehive empty.
Tang Wanwan easily picked up the hive.
Then with a beautiful leap, she lightly landed on the ground, wrapped her sticky honey branch with her clothes, and swaggered off.
“Hey, you stop right there, wait.”
“This thing is mine.”
Gu Mingyuan didn’t expect to encounter such an unreasonable girl here.
If he had known the hive was so easy to retrieve, he would have done it that way.
Now he’s in trouble, boasting to his brother about making honey-glazed chicken wings for them tonight.
With the honey gone, how’s he supposed to do that?
“Hmph, it’s all your fault.
If you hadn’t worn that mask, the girl might have been enchanted by my stunning good looks.”
Gu Mingyuan tossed the mask straight into the river nearby with a “whoosh.” To be honest, this ghost mask had scared quite a few people.
He even found it entertaining, figuring out how to frighten anyone who offended him.
Seeing their shocked expressions, sometimes even causing nervous breakdowns, made him very happy.
What’s the point?
Most importantly, why did he throw away the mask?
To let the girl fall for him and obediently hand over the honey.
Yeah, that’s what he should do.
Meanwhile, after Tang Wanwan got the hive, she carried all those valuable bees back in one fell swoop.
On the way back, she ran into Tang Xiao Yi who was looking for her, so Tang Wanwan asked Tang Xiao Yi to help her.
They were about to do something big.
“Big Sister, what big thing are we doing?” Tang Xiao Yi asked excitedly.
“You have to promise me first that besides you and me, you won’t tell anyone about this.
If you do, you’re betraying your sister, and only small-hearted people betray their family.”
Hearing this, Tang Xiao Yi immediately patted his chest, saying he’d never spill a word, promising to keep it secret for his sister.
“Alright then, I trust you can do it.
Just keep your mouth shut, and I’ll handle the rest.”
“Okay!”
Tang Wanwan directed Tang Xiao Yi to extract most of the honey from the hive, leaving some for later use.
After extracting the honey, they quietly slipped out.
This time, however, Tang Wanwan’s target was not the old Tang Family mansion, but the riverbank.
Tang Xiao Yi looked at his sister in confusion and asked, “Big sis, didn’t you say we’d use the hive against grandma and uncle’s wife?
Why are we going to the river to catch fish now?”
“Silly boy, who does bad deeds in broad daylight?”
“Puh, wrong, we’re enacting justice for Heaven, punishing bad guys on its behalf, so we’ll wait until nighttime.
This way, people won’t find out about us, and our mother won’t get involved.” Tang Wanwan continued indoctrinating Tang Xiao Yi.
“Right, big sis is right.
Let’s catch some fish first, fill our bellies, and then have the energy to work.”
“Yes, that’s the way it is.” Tang Wanwan nodded repeatedly, acknowledging Tang Xiao Yi’s understanding, realizing he’s as clever as she is despite his young age.
But as Tang Xiao Yi watched his sister whittle a bamboo stick and proclaimed they’d catch fish in the river, he doubted whether she could actually catch fish.
His sister, beautiful and capable, is the best sister in the world.
“Huh, what are these two up to?” Gu Mingyuan was searching everywhere for Tang Wanwan’s trace when unexpectedly he saw her with a little boy beside her, both holding bamboo sticks with excited expressions, not knowing where they were headed.
So he quickly rushed over.
“Hey, girl, you stop right there.”
Suddenly seeing an incredibly handsome person in front of them, Tang Wanwan didn’t think he was speaking to her, so she hurriedly pulled Tang Xiao Yi along faster, quickly passing by him.
Gu Mingyuan stood there, ready to enjoy a moment of stunning surprise from Tang Wanwan.
But who knew, she didn’t even look his way, treating him like air.
This girl, what’s the use of her eyes?
Can she not see this handsome guy in front of her?
“The girl who stole the beehive, you stop, I want to talk to you.”
But instead, Tang Wanwan and Tang Xiao Yi, who were initially walking quickly, almost started sprinting at his words, and in no time, the two were gone.
Gu Mingyuan was furious.
Is this girl not from around here, does she not understand what he said?
Those big eyes, are they situated on top of her head, to not look at people?
Silly girl, even if you run to the ends of the earth, I’ll find you.
“Huff, huff, huff!”
“Oh my, I’m exhausted.”
…
“Sis, why are we running?
Do you know that guy who just talked?”
“I don’t know him.” Throughout this, Tang Wanwan’s ability to tell fibs was growing.
“Oh, you don’t?
Then why run?
It seemed he was talking to you, saying something about a girl with a beehive, and you just brought one back.”
