Judging by her experience of surviving three days in that game, Prince Jin had likely only just returned to the capital and hadn’t secured his footing yet. That was why he wanted to curry favor with her father and elder brother, and resorted to such tactics.

Bah, shameless! Next time she saw him, she’d spit right in his face.

The lackey Song Jingyang shouted, “You wicked woman!”Full novel: Reborn as a Villainess, I Spend Every Day Redeeming Myself — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But with so many eyes watching, he didn’t dare say anything more to Tang Zhuojun.

Because he had acted on his own initiative and failed to stop Tang Zhuojun, he had already been beaten with fifty strokes of the cane. If the prince found out that he was still talking to Tang Zhuojun, he’d probably be skinned alive.

That day, he had known what Tang Zhuojun was planning. He’d thought that although the woman was disgusting, the prince had just returned to the capital and needed support, so he intended to go along with the situation. He hadn’t expected the prince to be pretending.

If that woman’s actions had been just a bit rougher, things might actually have succeeded.

This useless piece of trash… sigh, it was all tears when you thought about it.

Song Jingyang was just about to leave when it suddenly occurred to him— what was Tang Zhuojun doing at the pharmacy?

He stopped walking and stood at the entrance of the pharmacy, pricking up his ears to listen to what was happening inside.

Tang Zhuojun had no idea. She happily bought the various spices she needed, then said, “Prepare a few doses of abortion medicine for me— the kind that makes it impossible to get pregnant after taking it.”

Song Jingyang: ???

He wanted to keep listening, but the person sweeping outside the pharmacy noticed him. “Sir, do you need to buy anything?”

Feeling guilty and afraid Tang Zhuojun might notice him, Song Jingyang had no choice but to hurry away. In his heart, though, he kept thinking: that was close, that was close.

Luckily that woman hadn’t succeeded. Otherwise, wouldn’t she have tried to pin the child in her belly on the prince?

No wonder she wanted to climb into the prince’s bed— turns out she was bringing a green hat with her.

That wicked woman!

The prince is wise and mighty!

The pharmacy clerk said, “We don’t have that. You need to bring a prescription to have the medicine prepared. And this kind of thing… we’re not willing to do it either.”

Tang Zhuojun smiled. “There are too many stray cats around my home. Now that it’s spring, they yowl nonstop at night. I want to mix some sterilizing medicine into the food when I feed them, so there won’t be more and more later on.”

The clerk hurriedly said, “You gave me quite a scare. We do have that kind of medicine— I’ll go get it for you right away.”

Tang Zhuojun spent over a hundred copper coins at the pharmacy. Carrying bags large and small, she then picked up the pig intestines, pig stomach, and pork belly and went home.

“Big brother, why are you back already?” Seeing Tang Boxin standing at the gate, his face iron- black as he glared at her, Tang Zhuojun asked in great surprise.

She didn’t think she’d offended him today— so why did it feel like he wanted to swallow her alive?

“Ah Jun, it was my carelessness that let Tang Big Brother know about you borrowing money at high interest,” Ruan Anruo said, poking her head out from the Ruan residence’s gate, smiling smugly. “I’m really sorry about that.”

Tang Zhuojun smiled back. “Good, thank you so much. Just wait— I’ll come look for you later and properly thank you.”

Luckily, she’d had the foresight to repay the loan first. Otherwise, wouldn’t big brother be furious enough to drop dead right now?

“Come inside with me!” Tang Boxin said sharply, then swept a piercing glance at Ruan Anruo.

Ruan Anruo’s eyes immediately filled with tears. “Tang Big Brother, I—I did it for Ah Jun’s own good…”

“She must have been blind to treat you as a friend.”

Tang Zhuojun burst out laughing, her voice bright and clear. “Big brother is right. Come on, let’s go home and talk. No need to pay attention to a mad dog.”

Her big brother really was wonderful. Even when he was so angry that smoke was practically coming out of his seven orifices, he still protected her dignity— any scolding or beating would be done behind closed doors.
