The neon On Air sign glowed a bright, piercing red above the soundproofed door.

Inside the cramped, heavily stickered studio, the two hosts of The Blueprint, one of YouTube’s fastest-growing underground hip-hop podcasts, adjusted their heavy studio headphones.

The camera feed was rolling to their fifty thousand loyal subscribers.Full novel: Reborn as juice world — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

On the left sat Marcus, an older, strict hip-hop purist who only cared about complex lyricism and boom-bap beats.

On the right was Trey, the younger, high-energy co-host whose finger was constantly on the pulse of the internet’s shifting culture.

“Alright, look,” Trey said, leaning into his broadcast microphone and waving his hands.

“Before we wrap up the episode, I have to talk about what happened on Twitter last night. If you haven’t seen it, you’re literally living under a rock.”

Marcus crossed his arms, leaning back in his leather chair with a deeply skeptical scowl.

“Let me guess. Another kid with a webcam microphone screaming over a blown-out bass pedal?”

“Bro, no,” Trey insisted, pulling up his laptop screen so the camera could see it.

“Chance the Rapper literally tweeted this out at two in the morning. He co-signed an artist with zero followers. The kid goes by the name Juice WRLD.”

Marcus rolled his eyes.

“Juice World? What kind of name is that? Sounds like a pop-up shop at the mall.”

“Just listen,” Trey pleaded, hovering his mouse over the play button.

“The song is called Wishing Well. It’s got over six hundred thousand plays in less than twenty-four hours. No marketing budget. Just pure viral word-of-mouth. I haven’t even heard it yet; I saved my first reaction for the camera. Let’s go.”

Trey clicked play. This chapter was taken from g.com without permission.

Through the high-end studio monitors, the raw, melancholic twang of the acoustic guitar filled the room.

Marcus instantly uncrossed his arms.

His skeptical scowl faltered, replaced by a look of sheer confusion.

“Wait… is that a real guitar? That’s not a synth patch.”

Before Trey could answer, the heavy, rhythmic hi-hats dropped, and Jarad’s raspy, agonizing vocals cut straight through the mix.

“Stress on my shoulders like an anvil… Perky got me itching like an anthill…”

Trey immediately started aggressively bobbing his head, his face scrunching up into the universal hip-hop sign of absolute disgust—the highest compliment a beat could get.

But it was Marcus’s reaction that completely stole the show.

The old-head purist didn’t move a muscle.

He just stared blankly at the acoustic foam on the wall, completely paralyzed by the sheer emotional weight of the lyrics.

He listened as the fifteen-year-old prodigy poured out his soul about the suffocating grip of pills, depression, and the desperate need to exhale.

When the three-minute track finally faded out, Trey slammed his hand on the desk.

“Bro!” Trey yelled into the mic, throwing his hands in the air.

“Are you kidding me?! The vocal pockets? The melody? He just slid on an acoustic guitar like it was nothing!”

Marcus slowly took his headphones off and set them on the desk.

“I owe this kid an apology,” Marcus said quietly, shaking his head in disbelief.

“I judged the name. I judged the SoundCloud link. But that… that is real hip-hop.”

Trey laughed loudly.

“Wait, Marcus giving a SoundCloud track a pass? The world is ending!”

“I’m serious, Trey,” Marcus fired back, leaning into his mic.

“Hip-hop is about telling the truth about your environment. Most of these kids on the internet are faking a lifestyle to look cool. This kid? Juice WRLD? He just took his darkest, most painful demons, put them on a beautifully mixed acoustic loop, and gave a voice to every single kid struggling with their mental health right now.”

Marcus pointed a finger at the camera.

“I don’t know who you are, Juice WRLD. I don’t know if you’re fifteen or twenty-five. But you have a gift. You didn’t just make a hit song, man. You created a safe space for a whole generation to just breathe. Keep doing exactly what you’re doing.”

Trey nodded aggressively in agreement.

“Facts! Stream Wishing Well, chat. We are witnessing a massive shift in the culture.”

Miles away, sitting in his small bedroom in Homewood, Jarad hadn’t seen the podcast yet.

He was simply leaning back in his swivel chair, eyes closed, quietly plucking a few random chords on his acoustic guitar.

The internet was exploding, but inside those four walls, there was no anxiety or chaos.

Just a kid who had finally found his voice, completely at peace with the new life he was building.
