By the time Elena and Gabriel reached the outer area of her father’s territory, the air had already changed.
The ground carried a heavier scent, something wild and dominant, and even the wind seemed to move more cautiously, like it knew whose land this was.
In the distance, a large group came out of her father’s cave.
Beast wolves.
Dozens of them.
Their presence alone was enough to make the smaller creatures disappear into hiding.
At the centre of them was Alpha Damon speaking with her father.
He was tall, composed, and carried that cold authority that made people instinctively lower their heads.
Beside him walked Hermione, her steps graceful, her expression calm, but her eyes sharp, as if she was always calculating something.
Elena folded her arms.
“Of course she’s here too.”
Gabriel stepped forward first as they closed the distance.
“Alpha Damon,” he greeted smoothly, his tone polite but never lowering itself.
“May I have a moment of your time?”
Damon’s gaze shifted to him.
There was a flicker of surprise, brief but noticeable in his eyes.
Out of all people…
Gabriel?
He was glad to speak with him since he was an important visitor in the beast world.
“Speak,” Damon said, though his tone made it clear this wasn’t something he usually entertained.
Hermione immediately stepped forward.
“I should…”
“Follow the armies back to the pack,” Gabriel cut in calmly, his red eyes flashing for a second.
“Alpha Damon wants to discuss something very important with me.”
Hermione froze.
Her words stopped halfway.
Her gaze locked onto his eyes… And for a moment, she looked dazed.
Then she nodded slowly.
“Understood.”
Elena bit her lips so hard she almost hurt herself.
‘Don’t laugh.’
Don’t laugh.
DON’T LAUGH!!
She quickly turned her face away, her shoulders trembling slightly.
“Served her right, bitch!!” she chuckled.
By the time she looked back, Gabriel’s eyes had already returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.
He turned to Damon.
“Please, follow us,” he said respectfully.
“It’s something we can’t discuss here, Alpha.”
Damon didn’t move immediately.
His gaze flicked between the two of them, sharp and suspicious.
“What are you two plotting?” he asked coldly.
Cece isn’t always up to no good.
Elena rolled her eyes and chose not to respond.
She just turned and started walking.
Gabriel followed.
Damon watched them for a second longer… then stepped forward.
They moved away from the main path, heading toward a quieter part of the forest until they reached a thick bush area.
Elena stopped when she realised what was happening.
“Why are we going into a bush?” she muttered.
Gabriel rolled his eyes as he had already given up on her.
“You’d better grab your copy now,” he whispered.
Elena blinked.
“My what?”
“Your dignity,” he replied flatly.
“Too late for that,” she muttered.
She didn’t want to have her first time in the bush!
She wished her first time would be in an expensive hotel or mansion, on a white bed filled with lots of red flowers and romantic red candles!!
Behind them, Damon’s voice came again, “I asked a question,” he said coldly.
Gabriel sighed softly, like he was about to explain something extremely annoying.
Then he turned to Damon and began.
He explained everything he heard from Elena.
From the strange connection of fate…
To the noble black fox bloodline… To the fact that Cece was the only available option at the moment, since her younger sister wasn’t around.
Elena froze.
“Younger sister?” she repeated under her breath.
Ohh… ahhh right… She didn’t remember she had a younger sister…
Damon’s expression didn’t change much as he listened.
But when Gabriel finished, he scoffed.
“So this is another one of her tricks?”
Elena’s head snapped toward him, then she held her head in frustration.
“Do you really think I want to be with you?!” she sneered, her voice rising for the first time since she got here.
Both men paused.
Even Gabriel looked at her in awe…
Elena stepped forward, her frustration already spilling out without control.
“I was forced to correct your fate, you fool!”
She gritted her teeth and clenched her fists hard so she wouldn’t punch his nose.
Gabriel blinked.
‘Don’t tell me she’s upset just dealing with her calmest mate… what about the other two who are the greatest headache in the world?’
Damon stared at her in amusement, like he was trying to figure out if this was another act… or something else entirely.
After a moment, he exhaled softly.
“I won’t do it here,” he said.
Elena blinked in disbelief.
Wait…
It worked!!!!!
That worked?
She sighed in relief.
“Let’s go to my pack,” he added.
Elena glanced at the sky.
It was already getting darker. This story is hosted at g.com.
Night was coming fast.
Before she could even process anything—
Damon suddenly grabbed both of them.
“Wait—”
Wind rushed past them violently and the world blurred.
Trees, rocks, shadows—everything passed in a flash as they moved at a speed Elena’s brain refused to understand.
Her stomach flipped.
Her soul almost left her body again.
Then they stopped.
Right in front of a massive cave structure.
Damon’s palace.
Elena blinked in amusement.
“Wow.”
Her eyes widened as she took it all in, her earlier stress forgotten for a second.
“You are amazing,” she said honestly, looking at Damon like she had just witnessed magic.
Gabriel yawned loudly beside her, completely unimpressed.
He waved his hand lazily.
“Good luck.” And just like that, he leapt away.
With the diamond!!
Elena watched him disappear into the distance.
“Thief!!” she sighed… but smiled thankfully.
Actually, it was worth it.
“Come,” Damon said shortly, already walking ahead.
Elena sighed again and followed him inside.
The palace was even more intimidating up close.
Guards pretended as if they saw nothing.
The servants bowed, and the orders he gave them screamed power.
As they walked, Damon turned to one of the maids.
“Is the slave room neat?”
The maid bowed immediately.
“Yes, Alpha.”
Elena stopped walking.
“Excuse me?” She looked at him in shock.
“Slave… room?”
Damon didn’t even look at her.
“Where else do you belong?” he replied calmly.
Elena looked at him in disbelief, she clenched her fists in annoyance.
Humph!!!
Very good!
Very nice!
She took a deep breath and comforted herself.
Finish this first… after this!
She would walk FAR away from this man.
This is not Jacob… this is another person with his face!!
