His daughter had inherited Wei Rou’s looks—beautiful and elegant.

But Wen Jinkang had always resented the Wei family for looking down on him, and he had silently allowed Wang Meiyu to drug Wen Qiqi.

“Alright, I’ll take you to see them.”

Wen Qiqi nodded repeatedly and followed behind him.

The Wei family’s storage warehouse was located behind the greenhouse in the backyard. The password lock had been set by Wei Rou before her death, and to this day, the password was still Wen Qiqi’s birthday.

It wasn’t that Wen Jinkang didn’t want to change it—he simply didn’t know how.

Back in those days, password locks were considered cutting-edge technology.

Inside the warehouse were countless antiques, paintings, and rare treasures—there was even an underground wine cellar.

Wen Qiqi’s sharp eyes spotted a row of boxes at the back. Seeing her look that way, Wen Jinkang quickly stepped in front of her and urged her to leave.

That only confirmed it—those boxes likely contained either cash or gold bars.

Now that she had a clear idea, Wen Qiqi obediently nodded and followed him out.

“The property documents need to be prepared by a lawyer. I’ll give them to you tomorrow morning. Get some rest early,” Wen Jinkang said unusually gently.

He turned to leave, but Wen Qiqi stopped him.

“Dad, write the severance statement now. Otherwise, I won’t feel at ease,” she said tearfully. “What if tomorrow you listen to Aunt Wang again and change your mind?”

Wen Jinkang’s patience lasted exactly one second. “Why would I?!”

Wen Qiqi shook her head. “No. You’ve hurt me too many times before.”

Wen Jinkang fell silent. He knew he had wronged her.

Thinking that Wen Qiqi would be joining the army and couldn’t possibly take all these things with her, he finally nodded.

Just like that, Wen Jinkang wrote the severance declaration and pressed his fingerprint on it.

He didn’t mention giving her the gold bars again.

Wen Qiqi understood his little scheme. Her goal had only been to find out where he kept everything.

“Alright, Dad, get some rest. And don’t tell anyone about this news—if even a little leaks out, it’ll be impossible to undo.”

Wen Jinkang nodded grimly.

He definitely couldn’t tell Wang Meiyu—she was brainless and might spread it around.

As for Wen Jiaojiao, even less so.

Whether wife or daughter—none mattered more than his own future.

After he left, Wen Qiqi shut the door and sat at the dressing table, studying the jade pendant.

The original novel hadn’t explained how to use it, but other novels had.

Just drip some blood on it.

She pricked her finger with a needle and let a drop fall.

The blood slid down the smooth jade surface.

Nothing happened.

Wen Qiqi froze.

She bit it, rubbed it—still nothing.

Was it fake?

Or… were those online novel tricks all nonsense?

After thinking for a moment, she squeezed out a tear and let it fall onto the pendant.

Suddenly, the emerald pendant burst into a soft white glow, enveloping Wen Qiqi gently—and in the blink of an eye, she disappeared.

She found herself in a vast space.

Before her was a crescent-shaped clear spring… no, more like a small, exquisite lake. The water was crystal clear, revealing smooth, gem-like pebbles at the bottom.

Beside the spring was a hot spring large enough for at least four people. Wen Qiqi scooped some water to wash her face and instantly felt every pore open, her fatigue and illness swept away.

This hot spring might even remove the toxins from her body.

But time was limited—its functions would need to be explored gradually.

She looked around.

Next to the spring stretched several acres of fertile land, dark, rich, and soft, radiating pure vitality.

With so much land, she could grow vegetables, grains—even create a medicinal herb garden or an orchard with ease.

On the other side stood a simple yet imposing warehouse built of blue bricks and black tiles—its interior even more astonishing.

Dozens of towering display racks and storage cabinets stood neatly arranged, divided into clear sections: some for medicinal herbs, some for grain storage, others for precious collectibles.

Even more incredible—when Wen Qiqi thought of the antiques and paintings she had seen earlier, her gaze was instantly drawn to a corner of the warehouse.

There, the antiques, paintings, and even the fine wines from the underground cellar were neatly stored in separate compartments, spotless.

This warehouse could not only store everything—it could also automatically sort, preserve, and protect them!

What a treasure!

Wen Qiqi trembled with excitement and quickly imagined the boxes she had seen earlier.

When she opened her eyes again, those boxes had all been transferred into the space!

She hurried over and opened them one by one—sure enough, six boxes were filled with cash, and the other eighteen were packed with gleaming gold bars.

Oh my god!

If transmigrating into novels was this good, give me a stack of them!

Afraid of missing anything, Wen Qiqi returned to the warehouse and took everything she could.

That scumbag Wen Jinkang still thought he could transfer the property to his name?

Dream on!

After emptying the warehouse completely, she went to the kitchen.

Malted milk, imported coffee, milk powder—take, take, take!

Rice, flour, oil, soy sauce, vinegar, tea—take, take, take!

Golden nanmu furniture—take!

Bedding, silk, little leather shoes—take!

Rare calligraphy and priceless books—take!

Radio, record player, typewriter—take them all!

In less than an hour, the Wen household was reduced to an empty shell.

Wen Qiqi clapped her hands in satisfaction.

Perfect!

On the coffee table in the living room, she even spotted car keys.

No greatest surprise—only greater surprises.

Holding the keys, Wen Qiqi happily returned to her room—only to be startled by Ping An sitting on the bed.

“You’re not asleep?” she asked softly.

Ping An shook his head and gently patted his sleeping sister. “I was worried about you.”

Wen Qiqi’s heart warmed. Her Ping An was like a little angel.

She kissed his head. “Ping An, get dressed now. Mommy is taking you away.”

He nodded obediently, not asking why, and immediately went to change.

An An was sleeping soundly. Wen Qiqi wrapped her in a small coat, held her in one arm, and took Ping An’s hand with the other as they quietly slipped out of the house.

It was still deep in the night, everything silent. Wen Qiqi got into the car parked outside and drove away.

The Wen family had two cars, both bought by Wei Rou before her death. Taking one was only right.

“Mom, you can drive too?” Ping An looked at her with bright, admiring eyes.
