The sheer, cataclysmic scale of Aleksander’s rage did not stay confined to the skies above Oregon.

As the Avatar of Nature, his magic was directly tied to the very leylines that crisscrossed the earth, and an emotional outburst of that magnitude sent a massive, reverberating shockwave through the supernatural ether.

Thousands of miles away in a lavish Brooklyn penthouse, the High Warlock Magnus Bane suddenly stopped mid-sentence, his cocktail glass freezing halfway to his lips.Full novel: Reborn In TVD with Absolute Condition (OP) — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

The wards around his loft hummed violently, vibrating like plucked guitar strings.

Magnus narrowed his cat-like eyes, sensing a terrifying, primordial power that tasted like ancient earth and ozone—a raw, ancient magic he hadn’t felt in centuries.

Even deeper, far beyond the mortal plane, Arcadius paused.

The ruler of Hell Demension sat on his obsidian throne, his dark eyes flickering as a psychic tremor rattled the very foundations of his dimension.

Cade tilted his head, a cold, curious smile touching his lips as he recognized a wrath that rivaled his own—a god-like fury rippling through the fabric of the living world.

Deep within the infernal realm of Edom, Lilith, the Mother of Demons, suddenly went completely still.

Sitting upon her dark throne, she felt a terrifying, primordial wrath crash against the dimensional barriers.

Her demonic blood ran cold for a fraction of a second.

She recognized that raw, untamed power—it was the ancient, unforgiving fury of the Earth itself, awakened and screaming.

High above the mortal plane, bathed in the blinding radiance of the Silver City, Archangel Michael paused at the gates of Heaven.

The great celestial warrior’s grip tightened around his blade as the holy ether vibrated violently beneath his feet.

His piercing gaze turned toward Earth, sensing a god-like rage that rivaled his own divine wrath.

The Embodiment of Nature was furious, and Michael knew a storm of that magnitude would shake the foundations of the mortal world.

Meanwhile within the purgatorial veil of the Other Side, Qetsiyah stopped her endless pacing.

Unlike the others, she didn’t feel fear.

A small, knowing, and slightly concerned smile touched her lips.

She recognized that unique magical signature instantly.

Her oldest, dearest friend was absolutely livid, and she silently prayed for whoever was foolish enough to have provoked the Avatar of Nature.

Aleksander let out a long, ragged exhale, his broad shoulders dropping as he finally reined in the chaotic torrent of magic.

Above him, the bruised, purple thunderclouds began to fracture, breaking apart as quickly as they had formed to let the golden afternoon sunlight spill back over the grass.

The howling wind died down to a gentle, rustling breeze, and the heavy smell of ozone faded into the scent of damp earth.

When he finally turned around, the abyssal black and glowing red had vanished from his eyes, leaving only his familiar, warm dark brown.

He looked exhausted, the heavy emotional toll of Kai’s memories still lingering in the tight set of his jaw.

Lexi didn’t wait for Lucy’s permission this time.

The moment the storm broke, she crossed the field in a blur of vampire speed.

She didn’t hesitate or show a single ounce of fear at the apocalyptic power she had just witnessed.

Lexi threw her arms around his neck, pulling him into a fierce, grounding hug.

She pressed her body flush against his, letting him feel her steady heartbeat and the cool, solid reality of her presence.

Cupping the back of his neck, she pulled him down and pressed a deep, lingering kiss to his lips, anchoring him completely back to the present.

When she finally pulled back just enough to look him in the eye, her hands gently framed his face.

”Are you okay?” Lexi asked softly, her hazel eyes searching his.

Aleksander looked down at the fierce, beautiful vampire holding onto him.

The lingering anger that had been burning in his chest finally dissolved, completely washed away by the simple, unwavering affection in her gaze.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her flush against him once more, and gave a slow, reassuring nod.

A small, genuine smile broke through his exhaustion.

”I am now,” Aleksander murmured, leaning down to press a soft kiss to her forehead.

Watching the way Aleksander’s formidable presence instantly softened in Lexi’s embrace, a fond, knowing smile spread across her face.

For all his god-like power and the heavy burdens of the earth he carried, her little cousin still needed an anchor.

It was abundantly clear that this centuries-old vampire was exactly that.

“You know,” Lucy began, her voice gentle as she stopped a few feet away, “with everything that just happened in there… are you planning on talking to Jo again?”

Aleksander kept one arm securely wrapped around Lexi’s waist, turning his head slightly to look at his cousin.

The warmth that had just returned to his eyes shifted, hardening back into something calculating and utterly unyielding.

“No,” Aleksander answered smoothly, shaking his head.

“They will come to me.”

He looked past Lucy toward the safe house, his jaw setting with grim certainty.

“I have given them their ending. If they force those twins to follow through with the Merge, the Gemini Coven will cease to exist. I made sure Josette felt the absolute truth of that judgment. She is going to run straight to her father in an absolute panic.”

A dark, knowing smirk touched his lips.

“You know how the covens are, Lucy. They may call me the Avatar of Nature, but many of them arrogantly believe that they bestowed that title upon me. They like to think it’s just some grand, political rank given by witch society rather than a literal, divine truth. Joshua Parker sits right between those two beliefs.”

Aleksander let out a quiet scoff.

“His arrogance makes him want to treat me like just another powerful witch he can negotiate with or manipulate, but his deep-seated fear of extinction will overrule his ego. Once he hears the judgment I passed today, the reality will set in. He won’t have a choice. I guarantee he will contact you to set up a formal meeting.”

Lucy crossed her arms, nodding slowly as she processed his strategy.

Knowing the desperate, self-preserving politics of the Gemini leadership, she realized Aleksander had played the board perfectly.

He hadn’t just threatened them; he had cornered them.

By leaving Jo devastated with a divine prophecy, he stripped the coven of their false moral high ground and forced them to confront exactly what he was.

“You’re right,” Lucy agreed, a fierce, proud gleam shining in her almond eyes.

“He’ll try to save face, but he’ll call. And when he does, we’ll make him come to us.”
