The sharp pain on his Adam’s apple only fueled a more overwhelming desire, boiling like molten lava.

Qi Chenyan groaned, pinching her cheeks to make her release her bite, his voice hoarse and resigned. “Biting here—do you want my life?”

Shi Xing hurriedly covered his mouth. “Your words are the inauspicious ones.”Full novel: Reborn Sweet Madness, Hot Kiss on the Red Carpet with the Prince of the Capital — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Qi Chenyan looked at her with a smile in his eyes, readily admitting his mistake. “Yes, I was wrong.”

Shi Xing blinked lightly, her gaze lowering to the place she had bitten—a small circle of teeth marks.

She hadn’t actually used much force; she wasn’t foolish, of course she knew she couldn’t bite there too hard.

But looking at it now, she felt a pang of heartache. Slowly, she leaned in again, her soft lips pressing against the spot she had bitten, planting a gentle kiss.

Then she heard the man’s breathing, unusually restrained.

Qi Chenyan’s fingers clenched instantly. For a moment, he truly didn’t want to hold back any longer.

She was his wife now; there was no need to restrain himself.

But before he could lower his head to kiss her, she pulled away, lowering her gaze. “He Sheng and I never kissed. How do you want to compare?”

Qi Chenyan was taken aback.

For a moment, he didn’t seem to understand what she meant.

Shi Xing kept her eyes downcast. “He and I weren’t what you thought. There was no intimacy between us.”

Qi Chenyan was stunned by her words.

She and He Sheng had never been intimate?

Then what was He Sheng doing, acting so in love with her at the banquet earlier? Was he out of his mind?

All these years, was this how he treated Shi Xing?

After recovering from his surprise, Qi Chenyan asked in a low voice, “So all these years, he was cold to you?”

Shi Xing thought for a moment and nodded. “Yes.”

He Sheng had always acted as if he didn’t like her.

He was good to Shi Yue, intimate with Shi Yue, but toward her, he always showed disdain and disgust.

She had indeed been hurt by it before. After suppressing her feelings for Qi Chenyan, she had genuinely regarded He Sheng as her fiancé.

She knew they would marry someday, and of course, she hoped to develop a better relationship with He Sheng.

But she had long realized that He Sheng didn’t care about her. He enjoyed her chasing after him, enjoyed her devotion to him.

Qi Chenyan closed his eyes. “Qi Xingxing, what am I supposed to say to you…”

He opened his eyes, unable to resist pinching her cheek, a bit too hard. Through an empathic connection, he felt that slight pain.

Then, involuntarily, he loosened his grip, his thumb gently stroking the spot he had pinched, his heart aching.

He scoffed softly. “He treated you like that, yet you chased after him for so many years. Seems like you truly loved him.”

Before, he had only dared to think such words in his heart, each thought causing him pain.

But at this moment, he couldn’t hold back and spoke them aloud.

Shi Xing, however, frowned. “When did I chase after him?”

She said, “We were engaged. I was just fulfilling my duty as a fiancée. How is that love?”

She had been confused before, but her marriage to He Sheng was an arranged alliance between families. She had no choice and no desire to break free from those constraints, simply taking each day as it came.

Until she was driven out of the Shi family and the engagement was canceled, she thought it was fine—just like that, since there were no feelings anyway.

She had always been submissive by nature, never fighting for herself.

She looked at him earnestly. “I told you, the person I love most is A Yan.”Qi Chenyan was truly moved beyond restraint by her words this time. He thought, perhaps he really could believe her.

Yet, he still asked with some uncertainty, “Really?”

Shi Xing frowned, a bit angered by his distrust. She couldn’t help but bite him again, though this time not on his throat but on his chin.

And of course, she bit harder than before.

Qi Chenyan let out a soft hiss, suddenly thinking this girl might be a dog in disguise—no wonder the cat wanted to scratch her.

But this time, he didn’t make her let go, allowing her to bite and vent.

Strangely, in that slight pain, he felt a sense of relief, suddenly becoming lighter.

He believed her. Everything she said was true.

The person she loved was him.

This realization excited him beyond words, making his blood boil even more than when he kissed her.

Once Shi Xing had bitten her fill, she released him and asked with a light hum, “Believe me now?”

Qi Chenyan smiled and nodded, “I believe you.”

Shi Xing pouted, “You’re not allowed to doubt me from now on.”

Last time, the two of them were always suspicious and distrustful of each other, leading to the final tragedy. This time, they absolutely must not repeat the same mistakes.

Qi Chenyan nodded again, “Okay.”

Seeing his good attitude, Shi Xing was finally satisfied.

Then, rubbing her stomach, she pouted pitifully and said, “I’m hungry.”

To fit into her dress, she hadn’t eaten much for breakfast, and now she was genuinely hungry.

Qi Chenyan actually still wanted to kiss her, as he was too excited right now. But since she said she was hungry, he could only hold back. Taking her hand, he led her into the room, “Lunch has already been prepared. I’ll have it brought over now.”

Only then did Shi Xing notice that the suite had been decorated. The carpet was the same silver-gray as at home. Silver stars hung from the ceiling, and as sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, the stars shimmered with specks of silver light.

A crystal dining table stood before the floor-to-ceiling window, with a vase of vibrant roses on it, adding a particularly intense splash of color to the room.

While Qi Chenyan was on the phone, Shi Xing walked to the floor-to-ceiling window to look outside.

The hotel was in a great location, surrounded by vast landscapes, with flowers blooming brightly around the lake.

Just as she was feeling delighted, an arm wrapped around her waist. Qi Chenyan hugged her from behind, leaning his head against her shoulder, “Do you like it?”

“I love it.”

Shi Xing turned her head to look at him, her eyes sparkling brightly, “A Yan is so good.”

Qi Chenyan tilted his head and couldn’t resist kissing her soft, red lips again, his voice low and gentle, “As long as my baby likes it.”

Their marriage had been rushed, and there was still much he needed to make up to her.

Lunch was quickly brought in, prepared according to her preferences with Chinese cuisine. Shi Xing was truly hungry and picked up her chopsticks to eat right away.

Qi Chenyan, on the other hand, wasn’t very hungry. Moreover, the excitement in his heart hadn’t subsided, leaving him restless with nowhere to vent.

But he couldn’t disturb her while she was eating.

Qi Chenyan could only sit beside her, silently taking out his phone and opening WeChat. He found a group chat with a few friends and typed, “My wife said she loves me.”

With nowhere to vent, he could only share.

Soon, the others reacted, all sending question marks.

They were probably confused.

Qi Chenyan raised an eyebrow and sent another message, “My wife said she loves me the most.”

Others: “?”

Qi Chenyan smiled and typed, “My wife said she never loved He Sheng, she’s only ever loved me.”

At this point, the others probably understood.

Song Zhibo: “Haha, starting to act up again.”

Liang Zeheng: “You’re only realizing this now?”Didn’t he just diagnose Qi Chenyan last night? His wife is a total love fool.

But obviously, Qi Chenyan is no less of one.

That’s good, after all, love is sweetest when two love fools are together.

Lu Ci: “I really want to meet our third brother’s wife. To make him act so shameless, she must be quite something, huh?”

Qi Chenyan’s gaze flickered.

Lu Li: “I’d say don’t celebrate too soon. Qi, third brother, look—your beloved wife who loves you most might be about to join a dating show and fall for someone else.”

Then, Lu Li sent a screenshot to the group chat.

The smile in Qi Chenyan’s eyes vanished instantly. He frowned, staring at the screenshot, his gaze growing increasingly dangerous.
