The next morning, Li Xinyue arrived at the Li Group earlier than anyone expected.

The employees were surprised.

The young heiress had always been known as someone who enjoyed a comfortable life.Full novel: Reborn:The General’s Unrivaled heiress wife — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

But today…

Her entire presence was different.

She walked through the company halls with confidence, wearing a simple but elegant suit.

She was no longer the careless daughter people underestimated.

She was the future owner of the Li Empire.

“Good morning, Miss Li.”

The employees greeted her respectfully.

Li Xinyue nodded.

“Prepare the conference room. I have a meeting with the board.”

The assistant was surprised.

“The board meeting?”

“Yes.”

“Today?”

Li Xinyue looked at him calmly.

“Is there a problem?”

The assistant immediately shook his head.

“No, Miss Li.”

Thirty minutes later, the conference room was filled with senior executives.

Some people looked curious.

Others looked doubtful.

They still remembered the old Li Xinyue.

The young woman who cared more about fashion and social events than business.

One executive smiled.

“Miss Li, did something important happen?”

Li Xinyue placed several documents on the table.

“Yes.”

She looked around.

“We need to discuss the financial losses from the last three years.”

The atmosphere changed.

Several executives exchanged looks.

One of them spoke.

“Miss Li, those projects were already approved. There is no need to bring up old matters.”

Li Xinyue looked at him.

“Old matters?”

She smiled slightly.

“When those old matters cost the company millions, they become everyone’s problem.”

The room became silent.

She opened the file.

“This investment project was approved despite repeated warnings from the financial department.”

“This company was purchased at three times its actual value.”

Another document.

“And this contract…”

Her eyes became cold.

“Was designed to benefit someone outside the Li family.”

Everyone froze.

At that moment, the conference room door opened.

A familiar voice sounded.

“Xinyue, what are you doing?”

Li Haoran entered.

Her uncle.

The person who had controlled many company decisions in her previous life.

The executives immediately became respectful.

“Uncle.”

Li Xinyue looked at him calmly.

“I am investigating problems within the company.”

Li Haoran smiled.

“You are young. Business is complicated. You shouldn’t rush into accusations.”

In her previous life, those words would have made her doubt herself.

Not anymore.

“Uncle, I am not accusing anyone.”

She closed the file.

“I am only looking for the truth.”

The smile on Li Haoran’s face became slightly stiff.

After the meeting ended, Li Xinyue returned to her office.

She looked out of the window.

The first step was complete.

But she knew this was only the beginning.

Li Haoran was careful.

Lin Meiqi was dangerous.

And there were still many hidden enemies waiting.

Her phone suddenly rang.

She looked down.

It was Gu Zhen.

A small smile appeared before she even answered.

“Hello.”

“Are you busy?”

His deep voice came through.

“No. Why?”

“I heard you held a board meeting.”

Li Xinyue was surprised.

“You already know?”

“I have my ways.”

She laughed softly.

For a moment, Gu Zhen was quiet.

He rarely heard her laugh.

It was beautiful.

“Are you alright?”

She asked.

“Yes.”

Then he added:

“But I wanted to know if you needed help.”

Li Xinyue looked at the documents on her desk.

In her previous life, she depended on the wrong people.

But this time…

She had Gu Zhen.

However, she didn’t want to become someone who only relied on him.

“I appreciate it.”

She smiled.

“But I can handle it.”

There was no pride in her voice.

Only confidence.

Gu Zhen’s lips curved slightly.

“I know.”

“You are my wife.”

Those four words made her heart beat faster.

That night, a secret meeting was held.

A man placed a photograph on the table.

It was Li Xinyue.

“The heiress has changed.”

Another person asked:

“Should we stop her?”

The man smiled coldly.

“No.”

“Let her become stronger.”

“Then destroying her will be more satisfying.”

But they didn’t know…

The woman they planned to destroy had already died once.

And someone who had returned from death was not someone they could easily defeat.
