Every afternoon, he completed missions.

And whenever he had enough time, he entered dungeons.

Lucas had originally been Level 17 when he awakened his class.

Now, after two weeks of constant training and dungeon missions, he had reached Level 19.

It wasn’t an enormous increase.

But Lucas wasn’t trying to rush his levels.

He was building his foundation.

Another dungeon had just ended.

Lucas walked through the dungeon entrance and stepped back into the outside world.

The sunlight hit his face.

He stopped for a moment and took a deep breath.

Another mission completed.

Lucas looked down at his hands.

He could feel the difference.

His body had become stronger.

His energy control had improved.

His abilities were becoming easier to use.

And his new class was making everything more efficient.

Lucas opened his status.

[STATUS]

Name: Lucas

Level: 19

Rank: D

Class: Limit Breaker

Class Rarity: Above All

Ability: Boost Breaker

Hidden Ability: Time Manipulation

Lucas opened his class information.

[LIMIT BREAKER]

[Class Rarity: Above All]

[Class Skills: 4]

[Limit Overdrive — Unlocked]

[Perfect Conversion — Unlocked]

[Limit Adaptation — Unlocked]

[???

— Locked]

Lucas stared at the fourth skill.

It still hadn’t revealed itself.

No name.

No description.

No requirements.

Nothing.

Lucas had tried checking it several times since awakening his class.

Every time, the result was the same.

[???]

[Status: Locked]

Lucas closed the window.

He wasn’t worried.

Whatever the fourth skill was, it would reveal itself when the time came.

For now, he had three class skills that were already incredibly useful.

Limit Overdrive allowed him to temporarily increase his physical attributes and awakened power.

Perfect Conversion allowed him to waste less energy when using his abilities.

Limit Adaptation allowed his body to gradually adapt to the strain caused by his abilities.

Combined with Boost Breaker, the three skills made his growth much faster.

Lucas looked toward the city.

He had been waiting for one thing.

The academy.

He had submitted his application weeks ago.

He had completed the entrance examination.

Now he was waiting for the final response.

His phone suddenly vibrated.

Lucas reached into his pocket.

An unknown number appeared on the screen.

He almost ignored it.

Then he noticed the caller identification.

IMPERIAL AWAKENER ACADEMY.

Lucas raised an eyebrow.

“So they’re finally calling.”

He answered.

“Hello?”

A woman’s voice came through the phone.

“Is this Lucas?”

“Yes.”

Lucas looked back at the dungeon entrance.

“Okay.”

“We’re calling regarding your entrance examination.”

Lucas remained silent.

The woman continued.

“We’re pleased to officially inform you that you have been accepted into the Imperial Awakener Academy.”

Lucas’s expression didn’t change.

He had expected it.

Still, hearing the words officially made it feel different.

“Understood.”

The woman continued.

“Your examination results were extremely impressive.”

Lucas narrowed his eyes.

“How impressive?”

There was a short pause.

“You placed among the highest-ranked applicants.”

Lucas wasn’t surprised.

Most students his age were still relatively weak.

Ordinary students usually remained around Level 8 to Level 15.

Students from powerful families could reach Level 15 or higher.

There were also rare geniuses who exceeded those levels.

But Lucas had something none of them possessed.

Experience from another lifetime.

He knew how to fight.

He knew how monsters moved.

He knew how to conserve energy.

He knew how to recognize traps.

And most importantly—

He knew what real combat felt like.

The woman continued.

“Your combat evaluation was particularly noteworthy.”

Lucas smiled slightly.

He remembered the examination.

The physical assessment.

Ability control.

Combat.

The dungeon simulation.

The final ranking.

He hadn’t shown everything.

He had intentionally held back.

He couldn’t afford to reveal too much.

The woman continued.

“Your enrollment information has already been sent to your device.”

Lucas looked at his phone.

A notification appeared.

[IMPERIAL AWAKENER ACADEMY]

[ADMISSION STATUS: ACCEPTED]

[Congratulations.]

[You have been accepted into the Imperial Awakener Academy.]

[Enrollment Date: 7 Days]

Lucas stared at the final line.

Seven days.

The woman continued.

“Your enrollment packet contains information regarding housing, classes, campus regulations, and your initial evaluation.”

“Initial evaluation?”

“Yes.

Every incoming student will undergo an assessment after enrollment.”

Lucas nodded.

That made sense.

The academy needed to determine the strength of its incoming students.

The woman continued.

“Your placement within the academy may also be affected by your performance.”

Lucas smiled.

“I understand.”

“There is one more thing.”

Lucas waited.

“Because of your unusual examination results, the academy has requested that you report directly to the main administration building after arriving.”

Lucas’s eyes narrowed.

“Why?”

“We weren’t given a specific reason.”

Lucas remained silent.

That answer was suspicious.

But he didn’t press her.

“Alright.”

“Congratulations again, Lucas.”

The call ended.

He stared at the academy notification.

Accepted.

Imperial Awakener Academy.

The academy had produced some of the strongest Awakeners in the world.

In his first life, Lucas had known several people who attended it.

Some became guild leaders.

Some became government officials.

Some became famous heroes.

Others became enemies.

And some never survived long enough to see the apocalypse.

But this time was different.

Lucas was entering the academy with knowledge of the future.

He was already a D-Rank.

He had reached Level 19.

He possessed Boost Breaker.

He possessed Time Manipulation.

He had awakened a class that shouldn’t exist.

And that class had a rarity that had never appeared anywhere in existence.

Above All.

Lucas looked at his status again.

[CLASS: LIMIT BREAKER]

[CLASS RARITY: ABOVE ALL]

[CLASS SKILLS]

[1.

LIMIT OVERDRIVE]

[2.

PERFECT CONVERSION]

[3.

LIMIT ADAPTATION]

[4.

???]

Lucas stared at the fourth slot.

Still nothing.

He closed the window.

Then another memory surfaced.

The Apostles.

Lucas’s expression darkened.

In his first life, they had begun appearing around this period.

At first, nobody understood who they were.

They appeared in dungeons.

They infiltrated guilds.

They manipulated Awakeners.

And eventually, their actions became impossible to ignore.

Lucas had eventually learned the truth.

They served a god.

A god that had played a role in the destruction of the world.

But Lucas wasn’t strong enough to confront them yet.

He was only D-Rank.

Even with his abnormal abilities, he wasn’t ready.

If he encountered one of the stronger Apostles now, he couldn’t guarantee victory.

And Lucas refused to repeat the mistake of his first life.

He wouldn’t fight enemies just because he knew they were coming.

He needed power first.

Information second.

Then action.

Lucas looked toward the road.

Seven days.

Seven days until he entered the Imperial Awakener Academy.

He still had missions to complete.

Levels to gain.

Abilities to improve.

And secrets to uncover.

Lucas put his phone away.

He turned around and looked at the dungeon entrance one final time.

“Level 19.”

He clenched his fist.

“Not bad.”

Lucas began walking toward the city.

The academy was waiting.

The future was waiting.

And somewhere ahead of him, the Apostles were beginning to move.

But this time, Lucas was ready.

Or at least—

He would be.

Seven days remained.

And Lucas intended to make every one of them count.
