Chapter 5: Sculp

Reincarnated as a damn planet

Liam remained silent for several moments after receiving the notification.

The information about the Planetary Selection, the other players, the possibility of invasion, and the eventual battle for godhood had been overwhelming. His thoughts had been moving so quickly that he had barely been able to keep track of them.

Eventually, however, Liam took a moment to calm himself.

There was no point panicking over something that might not happen for millions, perhaps even billions, of years.

Besides, he had just received something he had been waiting for since the beginning.

Liam focused his consciousness on the newly acquired ability.

"System, activate Intangible Spectation."

[Affirmative.]

The moment the system responded, something strange happened.

Liam suddenly felt as though his consciousness was being pulled downward, as if he was being transported in a wormhole. There was no pain and no sensation of him falling. Instead, his perception simply began moving through something enormous.

The darkness of space finally disappeared, and for the first time since his reincarnation, Liam could actually see his own planet.

His consciousness passed through the outer atmosphere, descending toward the surface before continuing deeper into the planet. He saw vast oceans stretching across the world, enormous underwater formations, volcanic regions, and countless microscopic organisms moving through the water.

"Oh..."

For someone who had spent his entire reincarnated existence staring at a blue interface floating against empty space, the sight before him was almost overwhelming.

"This is my planet?"

He had technically known that all along, but knowing something and actually seeing it were completely different experiences.

Liam continued exploring.

He passed through the oceans, observing primitive organisms swimming through the water. Some gathered around nutrient-rich areas, while others drifted aimlessly through the currents.

He then moved toward the surface. The planet was still incredibly primitive and barren; there were no forests nor animals that walked across the continents.

"So this is what Intangible Spectation does."

He moved his consciousness across the planet, effortlessly traveling from one location to another.

"I can basically spectate my own body."

Liam then noticed something else.

He could see the interior of his planet as well. Massive layers of rock extended beneath the surface, while enormous amounts of heat churned deep within his planetary body.

"So I can even see inside myself?"

[Correct.]

Liam became increasingly fascinated.

He spent several minutes exploring his own planet before finally returning his attention to the system.

"This is actually amazing."

For the first time, he no longer felt like a consciousness floating helplessly in space.

DING!

[Notification: Additional Planetary Feature unlocked.]

[Land Sculptor.]

[Description: Allows the player to directly modify and reshape the terrain of their planetary surface within the limits of their current planetary authority.]

Liam stared at the notification.

His excitement immediately returned.

"I can now basically sculpt the planet?"

[Within your current planetary parameters, yes.]

That answer was enough to ignite Liam’s imagination.

He immediately began moving around the planet, observing the newly expanded landmasses from different angles. The more he looked, the more possibilities appeared inside his mind.

Instead of simply allowing the continents to form randomly, he could create geographical regions designed around the future life that would inhabit them.

"I think I’ll start with four main continents."

Liam focused his consciousness on the planet’s surface.

Four enormous landmasses began forming across the world, each separated by vast oceans and smaller seas.

One spread across the northern hemisphere, another occupied a large region farther south, while two more developed across opposite sides of the planet.

Liam adjusted their shapes carefully, creating wide bays, long peninsulas, inland seas, narrow channels, and enormous coastlines.

He stared at his work for several seconds.

"This actually looks like a proper world now."

He looked across the four continents again, and a new idea quickly emerged.

"I’m thinking of having four major races eventually inhabit these four continents."

"Actually, I’m a little biased toward humans."

There was no reason for him to deny it.

He had spent his entire previous life as a human. Even after becoming a planet, his memories and preferences had not suddenly disappeared.

"So the human continent gets to be bigger."

The continent expanded.

Liam gave it enormous fertile plains, several mountain ranges, large forests, winding rivers, lakes, and numerous different environments.

He stared at the result with satisfaction.

"Yeah, that’s definitely favoritism." Liam laughed internally.

"But I’m the planet, so who’s going to complain?"

He suddenly realized that limiting the world to only four races would make things far less interesting than they could become.

"Actually, forget four races."

He began creating smaller landmasses around the major continents.

Islands appeared across the oceans. Some were enormous, almost large enough to be considered miniature continents, while others were tiny pieces of land surrounded by endless water.

"I’m not limiting this world to four races."

Liam continued shaping the planet.

"I want so many different species that eventually I won’t even be able to count them."

Liam continued shaping the planet until the surface finally began resembling the world he had imagined.

Four enormous continents dominated the planet, surrounded by countless smaller islands and archipelagos.

Oceans separated distant regions. Mountain ranges divided landscapes. Rivers flowed through valleys.

Liam floated above the world and admired his creation.

For several seconds, he said nothing.

There was something deeply satisfying about looking at the planet from this perspective and knowing that every major geographical feature had been shaped according to his decisions.

"Now I just need to figure out what kind of life is going to live here."

His attention shifted toward the primitive organisms inhabiting the oceans.

Genetic Modification.

That ability was still waiting for him.

If he could eventually alter organisms however he wanted, then perhaps he could guide certain species toward becoming the intelligent races he had always imagined.

Elves, Dwarves, Humans, Beast-like races, Dragons.

Maybe even something entirely original.

He looked down at the world he had created.

"This is going to be interesting."

Note: The world map of the planet is available on Discord.
