Liam paused as another thought suddenly occurred to him.
"By the way, System, how did we evolve the same creatures as Earth?"

"Is that so?... Let me check."
Liam’s curiosity immediately took over.
His consciousness flew across the continents and oceans, moving rapidly between different regions of the planet until he began examining the newly evolved organisms.
The first creature immediately caught his attention.
"You’re right. These guys look uncanny..."
Liam approached one of the spider-like organisms and carefully examined its body.
"This spider-looking thing is much bigger."
The creature possessed an unusually slender body supported by twelve long legs, with only two eyes positioned near the front of its head.
"And it only has two eyes..."
Liam moved toward another organism.
"This one looks like a centipede, but it’s more like several different insects somehow joined together."
He continued traveling across the landscape, examining one strange organism after another.
Liam stopped when he encountered another creature.
"Scorpions with two tails?"
He stared at it for several seconds.
"Yeah, definitely not the ones I remember from Earth."
Liam continued examining individual organisms, taking in their strange anatomy and unusual evolutionary traits. The system’s explanation had made sense now. It wasn’t recreating Earth’s biodiversity. Instead, it was simply giving him familiar names for organisms that possessed similar characteristics.
After examining several more creatures, Liam suddenly remembered the rewards he had just received.
"System, if I use Predetermined Evolution, does it work the same way as Genetic Modification?"

Liam’s curiosity immediately grew.
He looked around for the nearest creature.
Eventually, his attention landed on a strange scaly organism moving through the environment. Its body was relatively light despite appearing surprisingly durable, with a flexible skeletal structure and powerful limbs that allowed it to move efficiently across the terrain.
Liam stared at it for several seconds.
"I want dragons on my planet."
His imagination immediately began filling in the details.

Liam stared at the creature again.
"Let’s test some more."
That single decision marked the beginning of what Liam privately considered his little evolutionary experiment.
He moved from one species to another, repeatedly using Predetermined Evolution to establish new evolutionary paths.
Drakes were created from one lineage, designed to become smaller relatives of the dragons.
Another lineage was given the potential to develop into wyverns, creatures built around powerful wings and predatory characteristics.
Liam then turned his attention toward the oceans.
"How about this one?"
He selected a large cephalopod-like organism.
"Make it much larger."
The system processed his command.

"Large Octopus."
Liam seemed satisfied with the simple name.
He then moved toward another enormous aquatic predator.
"These ones should be bigger too."
The creature was given an evolutionary trajectory that would eventually allow some members of its lineage to grow to extraordinary sizes.
"Make them capable of reaching the size of entire ships."

Liam nodded.
"Sharks."
"Actually, that’s still close enough to what I remember."
He continued searching for another interesting organism. Eventually, he discovered a strange scaly creature lurking near the ocean floor. Liam observed it carefully before another idea came to him.
"I want something rare."
He focused on the creature’s evolutionary pathway.
"Only five members of this species can exist at any given time."

Liam grinned. "And I’ll call them Zilagod."

Liam then moved on. His attention eventually landed on a large sea turtle-like organism slowly swimming through the ocean.
He watched it for several seconds.
"Make this species enormous. I want some of them to become as large as islands."

Liam added one final condition.
"Give them a lifespan of one hundred thousand years."

Liam stared at the enormous creature swimming peacefully through the ocean.
"Island-sized sea turtles..." He paused.
"Yeah, this planet is definitely going to become weird."
Liam looked across the many species he had modified and assigned evolutionary paths to.
He suddenly realized just how many changes he had made.
"Phew... That’s a lot of creatures."
For a moment, he considered making even more.
Then he stopped himself.
He had already learned that excessive intervention could trigger the Karma System, and there was no reason to completely control every aspect of evolution when he could simply establish a direction and allow the organisms to develop naturally.
Besides, there was another thing he wanted to see the most and thats the arrival of intelligent life.
Liam looked toward the planet’s surface, watching countless organisms spread across the continents and oceans.
"Now let’s see what all of this becomes."
He prepared himself for another long period of observation.
"Now, let’s speed up time again."
