When Firefly opened her eyes, she found that her entropy loss value had increased by another point, which meant she had been unconscious for at least an hour.

She slowly pushed away the collapsed stones pressing down on her and looked around somewhat blankly.

Most of the prisoners in the cells on both sides were dead.Full novel: Reincarnated Firefly because I’m Afraid of Dying, I Build Tank Items — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Not far from her was that monkey-like man; his eyes were wide open, and blood was frozen on his face.

He clearly hadn’t expected to end up like this.

Firefly closed his eyes for him and sighed softly.

Then, with a thought, a cicada-like, firefly-green object appeared in the palm of her right hand, perfectly matching the light patterns spread across her palm.

With the transformation device in hand, Firefly suddenly felt much more secure, and her gaze became sharp.

“Fireflies to a flame, living toward death…” She knew she didn’t need to shout any lines to transform, but life always needs a bit of ritual.

Firefly suddenly swung her right hand and shouted loudly:

“Transform!”

The green cicada-like transformation device turned into light, enveloping Firefly’s body.

Flames burned and firefly light flickered.

When the giant cocoon woven of light faded, the frail girl was gone, replaced by a two-meter-tall knight.

The knight was covered in silver armor, with a firefly-green, almost blue light glowing beneath the helmet, indicating that the armor was functioning normally.

As soon as she donned the armor, Firefly felt an indescribable sense of comfort spread through her body.

It was like the sense of salvation a boy feels when he has to hold it in for forty minutes during class after drinking a large bottle of soda; the relief was almost tangible.

The entropy loss value displayed on the panel was rapidly decreasing, while her HP was quickly recovering, and negative statuses were cleared instantly.

Name: Sam

Race: Glamoth Iron Cavalry

Attributes:

Strength: 240

Agility: 260

Endurance: 180

Spirit: 180

HP: 1800

Energy: 36 points (lv2)

“These attribute values…?” Firefly gasped.

These were values that only mid-tier elites could possess.

A full twenty-fold increase!

Because Firefly possessed “Mechanical Affinity,” using machines granted her a 100% bonus.

Thus, the original ten-fold increase of the Sam Armor rose to twenty-fold.

Now, Firefly felt invincible!

In her past life, she had followed pro guides and spent years of careful planning to reach these stats, and even then, it was already the mid-game!

As expected of my waifu’s exclusive armor!

Firefly marveled inwardly for a moment, then began walking toward the prison exit in her memory.

However, after only a few steps, Firefly suddenly saw the relatively intact corpses of the prisoners stagger to their feet.

Their eyes were hollow, their expressions blank, and they let out moans like “Urrgh—” from their mouths.

“These are…

undead?

Is the ‘Soul Sect’ attacking this prison?” Firefly immediately recognized the situation.

The Soul Sect was the antagonist of version 2.0, a cult with centuries of heritage.

They specialized in necromancy, and raising the dead like this was their most orthodox magic.

Why would they attack an Orc prison?

Even if the Orcs, who worshiped the Four Chaos Gods, weren’t in league with the Soul Sect, they shouldn’t be enemies.

At that moment, several undead seemed to have spotted Firefly and charged toward the Sam Armor with a roar.

Gripping the wooden sword Tatsumi had given her, the Sam Armor seemed to mimic Tatsumi, swinging it casually.

With an Agility of 260, she slashed the small mobs at a speed that was almost a blur.

Several kill notifications popped up in succession, but unfortunately, no good items like specialties or blueprints dropped.

What happened to that 45 points of Luck?

Firefly shook her head and continued forward through the damaged prison as if taking a leisurely stroll.

“Who are you?”

“Intruder detected!”

“Warning!

You have entered a restricted military zone of the ‘Blackwater Kingdom.’ Cease all resistance immediately, or the Blackwater Kingdom will impose the heaviest sanctions upon you!”

After entering a hall, the Orc jailers quickly spotted the tall Sam Armor and immediately raised their weapons in alert.

The Orcs’ weapons were mostly spiked clubs, hammers, or battle-axes.

Due to their racial traits, even the lowest Orc was at the ‘grunt level,’ with initial stats several times higher than a human’s.

However, before the powerful Sam Armor, these Orcs were no different from the previous undead.

With a thought from Firefly, the Sam Armor’s silhouette vanished from before the eyes of the dozen or so Orcs.

Just as the Orcs were wondering where the Sam Armor had gone, a scream suddenly came from the right side of the hall.

Many Orcs turned their heads nervously, only to witness the scene of a three-meter-tall green-skinned Orc being beheaded.

Thud!

The tall Orc’s corpse fell heavily, making a dull sound that seemed to echo in the hearts of all the Orc jailers.

The pupils of these jailers all shrank.

“When did…?”

“Is it a teleportation skill?”

“Everyone be careful!

Group up to prevent being ambushed by this shameful intruder!” The Orc jailers immediately gathered together.

Seeing this group of lambs to the slaughter actually grouping up obediently, Firefly’s lips curled slightly beneath the armor.

Then, the Sam Armor suddenly leapt into the air and plummeted down in a Rider Kick posture.

“Skyfire Bombardment!”

Centering on the Sam Armor’s toes, surging, scorching red flames ignited one by one, instantly enveloping the entire armor.

It looked like a giant fireball as it slammed ruthlessly into the midst of the Orc jailers.

BOOM—

A massive vibration made the entire hall tremble for a moment.

To the horrified eyes of the many jailers, a one-meter-deep crater cracked open in the ground.

At least seven or eight Orcs were instantly annihilated by this strike, their bodies burned to nothing.

Even the Orcs on the periphery were affected by the skyfire; scorching flames climbed onto their bodies, making them howl in agony.

“Aaaah!

Help me!

Save me!”

“M-Monster!

This must be some kind of metal-shaped monster!”

“Everyone run!”

Even the Orcs, known for their savagery, were now trembling in their hearts, their teeth chattering.

That figure standing in the crater, with flames still lingering on the silver armor’s surface, seemed like an Asura returned from hell, crushing their spirits.

Amidst the ash and smoke, that figure slightly raised its head, the firefly-green light beneath the faceplate appearing cold and piercing.

The remaining Orcs could no longer hold out.

With a strange cry, they scattered like startled birds, dropping their weapons and fleeing in all directions.

“Inventory,” Firefly murmured.

She swept all the weapons dropped by the Orcs into her system inventory.

These weapons were at least grunt level and held some value.

She was starting from scratch now and couldn’t afford to be wasteful.

Having cleaned up the battlefield, Firefly then controlled the Sam Armor to walk toward the prison exit.
