He has info on Fire, dark, mind, flesh and earth.
He doesn’t remember anything else.
That loss still stings up bit.
This knowledge isn’t easy to gather and knows nothing about it.
Not to mention, he is just a child so it is even more difficult.
Joy reads the makeshift book that he has made and then recall all the information that he knows.
First all the branches of the Fire domain are burning depth, scorching flesh, controlling fire heart and Agni.
Only ritual that he knows is of the burning depth.
Others he doesn’t remember.
Knowing the affinity ritual is important as some rituals of the branches are required for the ability ritual.
Like one for night vision that required the affinity ritual of the dark.
Now the dark domain’s branches are only two: darkened one and touched by blank.
The ritual that he knows is of the darkened one.
He is ritual as to what would be the ritual of the Touched by blank.
Next is Mind domain’s branches: Brained, Crazed and Mind of minds.
The ritual that he knows is of the Brained and Crazed.
In Brained, the affinity ritual is just quite short.
Person just has to stop their brain for a second with their own will.
According to the book, if you have this affinity the process of doing is quite simple.
Next is Crazed, the affinity ritual is… odd.
As the person just has to realize that they’re crazy.
Both of these rituals have made him feel uncomfortable towards the mind domain.
He tired these rituals and wasn’t able to do anything much.
So, he guesses that he isn’t from Mind.
He isn’t sure.
Next is flesh domain branches: own body and Corrupted body.
He knows both rituals.
For own body, the person just has to drink the blood of someone else (preferably a corpse).
Then he has to draw a symbol on their chest.
After an hour or so, if the blood crawl out of your body.
Then you fall into this branch of the domain.
For Corrupted body, one has to eat their own flesh which has the symbol of flesh on it.
There is no way that he would ever try affinity rituals of flesh domain.
Flesh domain is terrifying.
Last is Earth domain’s branch which is only one: Beloved of Earth.
He doesn’t the affinity of this domain.
‘Sigh, only possible domain that I hope to try are fire, dark and maybe mind.
I need to find more.’ He regrets forgetting the affinity ritual of information domain and water domain.
He has no recollection of what were they.
Joy flips the page of the book.
Two of fire, two of mind, three of flesh and three of dark.
Fire ability rituals that he knows are quite strong.
First is known as Ash to ash.
In this ability, any damage that the person gets can be reduce to Ash.
That means if you are stabbed then the wound will turn to ash and heal completely like nothing happened.
It is powerful but the ritual for it is just impossible for him to do as it requires for the person to have done the affinity ritual of Controlling fire heart.
It is just very disappointing that he doesn’t know the most useful one.
Just his luck.
Next fire ability ritual is called fire bullet.
It is simple as the name says.
The person can make fire bullet and shoot it.
The fire bullet wouldn’t be as strong as a real bullet but it would still be useful.
The ritual is simple just make of potion with water, ash of metal and blood of a firemit.
Drink it with a high temperature and the ritual complete.
To make this potion isn’t as difficult for Joy.
He also doesn’t remember reading a requirement of an affinity ritual.
So, maybe he can get this ability even if he isn’t in the fire domain.
But the problem lies on firemit.
‘What is a firemit?’
Only think that this thing confirms that there are magical creatures in this world too.
And he has to make a potion with that creature to gain such an ability as a fire bullet.
He frowns a little and check out other ability rituals of mind.
The first one is called Governing of minds.
With this ability one can give psychological command to one or two people.
These commands can range from walking faster or slower to forcing others to reveal their secrets or information.
One can even give certain tasks to others.
The second one is called Personality weakening.
This ability makes other’s act nerves around you and make mistakes.
If the ability is continuously attacks another person that person can even loss their personality too.
This ability is like psychologically warfare.
The other person can be permanently damaged and loss themselves.
It is scary.
However, both are required to have Brained affinity ritual.
Also, it seems like only requirement is the affinity rituals.
Like for the first ritual, one has to give commands to themself.
‘Give command to themself.
So, like tell yourself to do something?
The book didn’t say anything specific about it.
Only think that was written is that only the individual of the mind domain can understand.
Why is mind domain so weird?’
For the second, person has to have a personality.
That line is also isn’t understood by Joy.
For now, he can just keep them memorized.
Now three flesh domain abilities that he knows.
The names of these are muscles distort, bone swords and purity.
In muscle distort, one can change their flesh to a certain limit.
Like the limbs can bend at unnatural angles and for few minutes person’s muscles can expand and strengthen but after that they have to rest.
In a sense, it is two abilities in one.
The ritual for it requires own flesh and then force 50% muscle of the body to break.
According to the book, breaking of muscles can be acquired with physical wounds or through external means.
He isn’t sure what external means actually even means.
Also, he can’t do it so why does it even matter?
Now the bone sword which is similar to the muscle distort as it can make sword out of your bones.
That is cool.
But for the ritual, he needs own body affinity ritual and then have to break two of his bones.
‘Flesh domain is so violent…’
He smiles and gives himself a self-deprecating laugh.
These rituals are almost impossible for him to in this life.
He should be depressed and hopeless but he isn’t.
That is because there is on ritual that is hopeful for him.
Ironically, that ritual comes from the violent flesh domain, Purity.
Tonight, he will be trying Purity ritual of the flesh domain and gain this ability for himself.
He is as scared as he is excited.
The Purity ability gives a little resistance to poisons or toxins.
If he were to ingest or someone inject a deadly poison not his body then his body will make him vomit it out like his body knows that it is poison.
This ability also makes his taste buds numb.
So, even if he were to eat the most tasteless and disgusting food.
He can easily eat it without feeling disgusted.
However, down side of it is that he also won’t be able to enjoy good food.
All food will taste like nothing.
It isn’t an unfortunate but not a bad deal for being able to eat anything and be immune to most poisons.
The ritual also is much quite easy to do.
No affinity ritual is required and all he has to do is keep a potion in his mouth until his tongue feel numb.
The estimated time is an hour and thirty-seven minutes.
Then he has to swallow it whole and vomit it out.
The potion is made of a mixture of a cup of water, a spoon full of salt and a piece of paper that has a symbol of flesh domain.
That piece of paper needs to be dissolved into the water.
Symbol represent a pure body and mind.
However, the body isn’t human and the mind is actually just a piece of brain matter.
Joy has already has prepared the potion.
He has also hasn’t eaten his night meal so to prevent him to vomit it out.
It would be difficult to keep the potion in his mouth for an hour and thirty-seven minutes.
It probably would take few tires.
