Clara wasn’t fazed at all.

She shrugged.

Even I almost blushed just watching it.”

“You want one too?” Ethan suddenly asked.

Clara: “…”

What the hell is this guy talking about?

But she didn’t even get a chance to snap back.

Ethan just leaned in, no warning, and kissed her hard.

It wasn’t gentle, not at all.

He went straight in, full domination, like he was claiming her on the spot.

Clara let out a muffled sound.

She swore this guy just lost it sometimes.

But with her being smaller, Clara had no way of pushing him off.

Not a chance.

So in the end, she had no choice but to let Ethan press her down until he was finally done.

She was breathless by the time he let go.

Ethan, on the other hand, looked like nothing had happened—completely calm.

He stared at her evenly.

“Is that enough now, Mrs.

Blackwood?”

Clara didn’t respond.

Ethan’s tone was flat.

“Don’t worry.

Whatever others give you, I’ll give too, if that’s what you want.”

Clara was furious.

His shamelessness was off the charts and drove her crazy.

And Ethan was clearly ticked off himself.

He didn’t give her a chance to respond, just yanked her arm and dragged her out.

Clara winced from how rough he was.

She nearly stumbled.

Ethan seemed to notice because his pace slowed down a bit.

Only then could Clara barely keep up.

The whole time, Ethan didn’t say a word.

His face was stormy.

…

Inside the car.

Suddenly Clara’s phone buzzed.

She glanced down at the screen.

Ethan sneaked a look too.

Just her luck—it was a message from Nathaniel Griffith.

Nathaniel: [You forgot your registration documents.

Want me to drop them off?]

The tone was way too familiar.

Clara frowned slightly.

Right, she had forgotten those papers.

“Clara,” he called her name lowly.

She frowned.

Before she could even react, Ethan reached over and moved the seat.

Clara lost her balance and tipped backward.

The car rocked slightly.

Ethan had climbed over from the driver’s seat to her side.

Now both of them were crammed into the space.

Even though it was roomy, things felt cramped now.

Clara pushed against his chest.

“Ethan, seriously, what are you doing?”

“Nathaniel Griffith is really just a senior from school?” Ethan challenged, eyes sharp.

Clara really didn’t want to engage.

But Ethan kept pressing.

“Just a senior, and he talks to you like that?”

She didn’t say a word.

Ethan let out a cold laugh.

“Answer me, Clara.”

She let out a sarcastic “Oh”—“Well, if that’s what Mr.

Blackwood thinks, then sure.

Go ahead.”

So obviously perfunctory that it made Ethan snap in an instant.

His expression shifted in a flash, and Clara tensed up.

There was panic in her now.

“Clara, get this through your head.

Don’t even dream about finding someone else.

As long as I’m alive, it’s not happening.” Ethan’s jaw was tight, every word like a warning.

Clara stayed calm.

“After I give birth, we’re done.

What’s wrong with me checking out my options early?”

Her tone was laced with defiance.

Probably because she was sure Ethan wouldn’t dare go too far—she was pregnant, after all.

But she misjudged.

She forgot just how dangerous Ethan could get beneath his polished surface.

When he snapped, it was like a monster had been let loose.

Clara stared at him, utterly stunned. After that, she let out a muffled sound, biting hard on her lower lip.

It wasn’t just pain—it was pure humiliation.

Ethan Blackwood didn’t care at all.

To him, Clara Walton might as well have been just a punching bag for his emotions.

The car wasn’t exactly cramped, but with what had just happened, it suddenly felt suffocating.

Clara tried to push him away, but the more she resisted, the more intense Ethan’s possessiveness became.

His eyes locked onto her like a hawk zoning in on prey—sharp and unrelenting.

Clara’s eyes welled up with tears, but Ethan showed no sign of softening.

“You’re mine,” he said, word by word, each syllable heavy.

“If you even think about stepping out of line again, you’ll pay the price.”

Those last few words were growled low from deep in his throat.

Gradually—

The air settled.

Then—

A loud slap echoed through the car.

Clara had raised her hand and struck Ethan across the face, leaving a red handprint clear as day.

His head turned with the force of the hit. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

“Ethan Blackwood, you’re nothing but a monster,” Clara said, voice shaking with rage and disgust.

Ethan looked down at her furious face, still completely expressionless.

Then, calmly and without a word, he adjusted his clothes and went back to the driver’s seat.

His tone was flat, like nothing had happened.

“I’ll take you home.”

Clara didn’t say a word.

She lowered her head and put herself back together.

Once she was finished, Ethan silently started the car and drove.

The mood inside was icy cold.

…

In the days that followed, Ethan never came back to the villa.

Clara couldn’t care less.

It was Arthur Blackwood who reacted strongly to the news of Clara’s pregnancy—he even dropped by to check on her and gave her all sorts of instructions.

It was obvious how much he cared about the future Blackwood heir.

Clara treated Arthur with respect.

After all, he had always been kind to her over the years.

Once she saw Arthur off, she didn’t stay at the villa either.

She had promised to visit Linda Walton at the care facility today.

There were things she needed to plan ahead for.

Like the fact that she was pregnant.

Like the mess that was her marriage with Ethan.

Because right now, any stress could be too much for Linda.

“Ma’am, where are you headed?” One of the bodyguards stopped her the moment she stepped outside.

“What, is your boss not even letting me leave the house now?” Clara replied coolly.

The bodyguard hesitated.

“No, Mr.

Blackwood didn’t say that.

Just…

if you need to go anywhere, I’ll drive you.”

But they all knew—if anything happened to her, it would be their heads on the line.

“To the care center.” Clara didn’t make things difficult.

The bodyguard respectfully opened the car door and then drove her over.

…

When Clara stepped out of the car, she unexpectedly spotted Ethan.

She didn’t say a word and walked straight toward the building.

There was nothing left to say to a man like that.

But wherever she went, Ethan followed.

By the time he’d shadowed her all the way to the front doors, Clara had had enough.

She spun around sharply—

Only to crash right into Ethan’s chest, her nose hitting him so hard it stung.

Damn, what was this guy made of—concrete?

Clara rubbed her nose, face scrunched in pain.

Ethan looked down, his tone slow and quiet.

“You knew I was behind you.

Still walked right into me?”

Clara swallowed whatever she was about to say.

Honestly, she didn’t even want to waste words on him.
