Divya’s car reached Akhil’s home.
They both stepped out of the car and entered the house.
Divya raised an eyebrow at the situation unfolding before her.
Before she wasn’t a hundred percent sure, but now she could tell that what she had suspected was indeed true.
But what puzzled her was why the influential and wealthy person would suddenly target this seemingly ordinary family.
Ramesh shouted furiously at the bank officer, and his face flushed with anger.
He raised his hands toward the bank officer, who had the look of someone who had already been in this situation more times than he could admit.
Rhea stood beside Ramesh, clutching his hand firmly.
Her face was streaked with tears.
Akhil ran toward his mother the moment she saw her crying.
His face filled with anger.
Divya rarely saw him angry.
Seeing him angry because someone had upset his mother strangely annoyed her.
She wished she were the one who could stir such strong emotions in him.
She walked toward him, her expression cold and stern.
She had decided to vent her frustration on this bank officer.
Besides, he was Akhil’s enemy.
She was going to make his life hell for daring to cause trouble for her Akhil.
The bank officer’s face, which had looked blank and expressionless, showed a ripple of emotion when he saw Divya.
Divya stepped toward the bank officer and her gaze slid toward Akhil’s father.
“Tell me what happened?”
Although puzzled by why the police officer suddenly came to his house, he explained what had happened in great detail.
She nodded and turned toward the bank officer.
Her gaze was cold and unyielding.
“Tell me, which bastard ordered your bank to cause trouble for this family?”
The bank officer’s face froze, and he could not help but curse inwardly.
“How the hell did she know that I came here on orders from the bank because someone important asked us to.”
Still, he couldn’t admit anything without evidence.
Maybe she was bluffing.
He said firmly.
“Ma’am, I don’t know what you’re talking about?
Our bank always operates fairly.
You can’t accuse us without any evidence.”
Divya slapped him across the face.
She bellowed.
“Do you think I’m a five-year-old kid?
You’re lying right to my face.”
The room fell into a stunned silence.
Ramesh opened his mouth, seemingly forgetting to close it.
Rhea also covered her mouth with her hand.
But she also admired her.
The most stunned of them all was Akhil, he had always seen Divya as a gentle and beautiful women but the woman standing before him revealed a completely different side of her that he had never seen before.
The bank officer touched his face, disbelief and anger evident on his face.
Before he could speak, Divya beat him to it.
“Do you think you can bully anyone you want just because you have a bit of authority?”
“Kota Bank, is it?”
“Now, I’ll show you what it means to be on the receiving end?”
Divya dialed a number, and the call connected within a few seconds.
“Hello, Uncle.”
“You see, a friend of mine has encountered a bit of trouble.”
As she relayed what had happened to the person on the other end of the call.
The bank officer knew their bank had screwed up.
He started sweating profusely.
This time, their target was connected to someone whom the bank could probably not afford to offend.
He took his phone from his pocket and called his superior.
The situation unfolding before him was not something he could handle.
The call connected.
“How is it going, Sujal?”
“Have you finished the work?”
The voice sounded lazy and raspy.
Sujal immediately told his superior what had happened.
“Fuck”
“You idiot!
If the police had come, you should have called me immediately.”
“You useless fool!”
The call ended.
Sujal cursed his superior.
“Fucking bastard!”
He knew he was in trouble.
He was the one who had come to threaten the family, and they would surely not spare him.
He was about to turn and run for his life.
A punch landed on his face, sending him stumbling a few steps back and collapsed onto the ground.
The police cars arrived in front of the Akhil’s house; a group of police officers entered the house and saluted Divya.
She pointed at the figure lying on the ground and spoke in a voice full of authority.
“Arrest him.”
All the police officers obeyed her, lifting Sujal from the ground and carrying him to the police car.
Divya turned toward Akhil’s parents and said.
“You don’t have to worry about it.
“The remaining money you owe them will be waived.”
Ramesh and Rhea immediately expressed their gratitude.
“Thank you, Ma’am.”
They said in unison.
Divya gave Akhil a playful wink, then left in her police car.
Rhea turned toward Akhil with a questioning gaze.
“Akhil, you’ve been secretly hanging out with her, haven’t you?”
Akhil turned toward his mother in shock.
“Mom, how did you know?”
Realizing what he had said, he covered his mouth.
The ‘her’ was, of course, Divya.
Ramesh glanced at Rhea and asked.
“Rhea, what are you two talking about?”
He was confused, wondering what his wife and son were talking about.
Rhea explained to him.
“Didn’t we talk to you two days ago about the police woman who dropped Akhil home?”
Ramesh understood immediately and gave his son some serious advice.
“Son, what I said before was just a joke.
But now, I’m serious.
Just seduce her, and our family’s future will be settled.”
“Didn’t you see how easily she can shut down a bank with just one call?”
“I think she’s the perfect match for y… ah”
Before he could continue, Rhea grabbed his ear.
“How dare you teach our son this nonsense?”
Rhea turned toward Akhil and said seriously,
“I saw how that police woman winked at you.
I bet she has feeling for you.”
“But I’m not going to force you.
Date her only if you truly love her.”
Ramesh also said seriously.
“Yes, my son.
Think carefully.
Didn’t you see how she slapped that bank officer like it was nothing?
If you marry her, she’ll probably play you like a football, just like your mother here.
So, choose a wife who is gentle and kind, not a gorilla like your mother.”
After that, his mother started beating his father.
Akhil was not in the state of mind to listen to their bickering.
He walked into his room and lay down on the bed.
His expression was unreadable, and an unbearable pressure pressing on his shoulders like a mountain, leaving him barely able to breath.
