I slowly let go of Nick’s shirt as I watched Levi with a calm look.

I wanted him to feel what it felt to be neglected and it worked.

Without saying a word, I turned and walked away and he followed.

I was tempted to smile but I had to bite the inside of my cheek to stop myself from doing so.

“Why would you do that, Jenna?” He asked in annoyance.

“Because it will hit the headlines by tomorrow.” I casually responded as I went to the front of the building and waited for our car to be brought to the front.

“Are you seriously going to marry him after turning my life upside down?

After calling him a douchebag?” He asked in disbelief and I didn’t bother looking at him as I responded.

“Why do you care?

Isn’t this what you want?

For me to be out of your face.”

“Stop this, Jenna.

That’s a breach of contract.” He firmly said and I wanted to laugh because of what he was using as an excuse to stop me.

“Nothing was said about marrying another man, so I am not breaching the contract.” I nonchalantly said and glanced at him just to find him staring at me in disbelief, like I was a whole new person.

A car pulled up in front of us which clearly belonged to Nick and I smiled as an idea suddenly came to mind.

He rolled down the window of his car to stare at us before looking at me.

“Are you heading somewhere?

I can get you there.” He seductively said and winked at me.

“Fuck off, Nick!” Levi growled at him but Nick didn’t look like he would be leaving soon.

When I took a step forward with the motive of going to his car, Levi swiftly grabbed me by the arm and pulled me back to his side.

I feigned surprise as I looked at him and he at me.

“I said I’m sorry.

Now stop this act.” He firmly said and for a moment there, I was drawn in by his pitiful sight.

How does he have such an effect on me?

“Or else what?” I challenged him and his eyes hardened as he clenched his jaw.

When he finally parted his lips to speak, I expected him to say what it was but he leaned in and kissed me.

My eyes went so wide that I couldn’t focus on the kiss because it caught me by surprise. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

He wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me close as he deepened the kiss to give it more meaning but I couldn’t focus.

By the time he stopped and pulled away, I stood stunned as I looked up at him without uttering a single word.

He had that sexy look as he looked at me before reluctantly tearing his eyes off me and looking at his cousin.

“Leave,” he ordered.

By then our car had been brought to the front but Nick’s car was in the way.

He looked at both of us in confusion and suspicion like he was trying to unravel what we were driving at.

It took a while before he told his driver to drive off and I silently watched the car speed off with one thought in mind.

He may use what I did to him as an advantage.

When our car drove to the front, one of the security guards wanted to open the door for us but Levi stopped him and went to open it himself before gesturing for me to go inside.

I didn’t say a word as I went in before he followed and closed the door after him.

“Where to?” The driver asked.

“Laurel’s Bridal Place.” I gave a location before looking at Levi just to find him watching me.

“What?”

“You know what you’re doing,” he said and I smiled.

“If I hadn’t done all that would you surprise me with a kiss?

Besides, that is to show that you shouldn’t cross me.” I explained and he sighed and looked away.

“I can’t wait to get done with all this.” He muttered in exhaustion.

“That’s easy.

All you need to do is let go of everything then I will leave in peace,” I gave a false solution and he threw me a glare which made me give a smug smile.

“You’re sick,” he tiredly blurted out.

“Sick with love for you,” I spiced it up and it made him groan aloud.

When we arrived at our location, we were taken to the VIP section since I called them ahead of time.

I had booked the place when Carl and I planned to get married and I was grateful for taking that step because now I would take advantage of it.

“Welcome to Laurel’s Bridal Place.

“Please pick out the best dresses that will fit him.

Then get a white suit for me.” I softly clarified and the lady froze in surprise.

Levi on the other hand made a cough sound like he just choked on his saliva.

The lady attending to us blinked severally like she didn’t hear properly and asked for clarity.

“A dress for him?”

“Yes,” I answered.

“Pay no attention to her.

Get me a suit and her a bridal dress.” Levi quickly objected.

“I proposed to him so it is natural for him to be in the dress and I in the suit.

Don’t you think so?” I asked the lady and she felt conflicted as she darted her eyes between the both of us.

“Well I…I ehm…I think you have a point,” she said and I gave a triumphant smile as I faced Levi who couldn’t believe his ears.

“Babe.

You know it will be wrong to refuse.” I trapped him and his face went bright red.

“There’s no way you’re getting me in one of those dresses.

Never!” He vehemently declined.

A few minutes later…

“Oh my days!

You are the most beautiful wife to be ever.

I think I am falling over and over for you, my darling wife.” I happily cheered him the moment he stepped out of the changing room in a pure white voluminous off shoulder bridal dress.

It had many layers and Levi had difficulty walking in it but he looked ridiculously beautiful and I couldn’t help but burst into laughter while his face reddened all the more in humiliation.

The ladies tried to hide their laugh and I walked up to him and embraced him while laughing my heart out and in the process he started laughing.

“You’re so silly, Jenna,” he said amidst laughing.

“And you are the better half, Levi.” I sweetly complimented him while trying to stop laughing but couldn’t.

“Promise me one thing, Jenna,” he suddenly said and I soon stopped laughing as I gave him my full attention.

He had become serious and it made me wonder what he wanted to say.

“What’s that?”

We held each other’s gaze for a little longer before he said, “Promise me you will never have anything with Nick.”
