I followed them on their paths As we traveled i asked.
“Are these portals the only way to travel betwwen planets. ”
“No they are the worst pathways. The best one would be to buy a bridge”
“Arent they expensive?”
“Yeah but you just froze a snow leopard. It wouldn’t be expensive for you. And live ones are rare. We would give you the share dw.”
“Were you guys out here hunting.”
“Yeah and trying the luck on nero’s hurt. Did you saw the tomb. Its said to held a stolen treasure of aldania.”
“Emilia said so.”
“Few of my friends here still doubt you. But i believe you as we all know she was lost.”
Another portal was straight in front of us and we entered through.
The mask typed
“adjusting ambience.”
Huge buildings with water flowing out and glass like huge windows.
The air inside felt more fresh .
“Can i remove the mask? ”
The mask spoke.
“Ambience Aldania. Residence environment aldania.”
I thought in my head “Isnt that according to Emilia.” i removed the mask.
“Would you like to go buy the beam?”
“Yeah.
“I remembered that the portal was about to close.
So we went to the shop.
It was a band coloured blue with a button that i pressed.
It showed names of places i didn’t knew.
“How does it work?”
“It works on portals and one could travel from one place to another using warps.”
“What would be the name of our place since you know its a new one.”
“It will show the cordinates. Dont worry.”
“Now enjoy Aldania mate. I have to go. I hope yu a safe travel. Save the cordinates it would be hard to remember hundreds of numbers. And dont loose the band.”
He left and i ran striaght back to my home.
Life totally went normal and i choose to hide the stuff inside.
I was happy to know that emilia was safe.
I trained with the blade and waited for another meet up.
Several weeks passed untill many new organisation started forming.
They all started fighting for portals.
Since all of the weapons worked on nesk.
I didn’t worry about their charging.
I had my curiousity but the leopard was enough of an adventure.
Besides the beam i had still some aldanian currency with me.
They were coins with moving images.
The portal still remained but school went on.
Months passed and there were news of beasts coming out of the portals.
These news made the organisation release the truth and schools and organisation changed slowly.
Schools had now nesk related studies.
And the biggest change was the use of nesk weapons amd training among kids.
Government made it necessary for kids to learn using nesk weapons in schools.
They made clear about alien relationships and how they had learnt things from them.
Acadmeic education was changed and a new career of voyagers started to emerge.
People entered portals without permision so government granted voyage permisions based on skills.
The world was turned upside down.
A race to acquire weapons based on nesk made new enemies.
Many alien species threatened to attack Earth.
But none seemed to damage any piece of our peace.
I hadn’t choosen any arts for my voyage in school so my classes were mostly invested in training with Emilia’s blade.
My parents were pestering me to choose a subject.
And it has been a while so i went to the class.
I saw a battle on Our playground.
A lady with a lot of tattoes ran with a floating fire spear in her hand.
She jumped and threw the spear at her.
The spear stopped just at the opponent.
The glowing red tattoes on her dimmed and the spear vanished in thin air.
I went to the class and attended the lectures.
“These are called mosaics. They can have several uses and mostly are of two different types.”
“What sir?”
“Yeah telling you child. Enhancer mosaics can be used to enhance physical ability. They can have special effects like tracking abilities too. Then comes materializing. These mosaics can conjure weapons made of nesk. But these aren’t permanent. Some individuals have created special mosaics but they arent part of your syllabus. Untill some genius is interested in creating his own”
Sam came and patted my back.
“You seem kind of off these days. What’s wrong?”
“Nothing at all. do i look off at all?”
“You were lost for the whole lecture and you havent choosen a subject yet. Dont tell me. Someone’s scared.”
“Scared of what? The tattoo?”
“ooh so you wanna choose mosiacs?”
“No i just saw someone.”
“Ask nari bro. He is one of those he would help.”
“Yeah i will.”
In the recess i went to meet Nari bro.
“Hey ren long time no see.”
“Oooh i was.”
He came and punched me in the chest and it hurted.
His built was of a body builder.
He lived near to my house so we knew each other well.
“I wanted to take mosaic as a class.”
“That’s great.”
When i went to the class the lady had tattos all over her and had her leg on the bench.
“Nari. What do you want? ”
“Uhmm mam its not me. Its my lil bro ren he wanted to take mosaics.”
“Ooh that kid.”
She stood up from the table and asked.
“What kind of mosaic would you like?”
“What can i choose from?”
“You can choose any beast from your planet. Different mosiacs asoociate with different elements. cheetah for speed, elephant for strenght, birds for flight… ”
“Are there more types of enchanting”
“Yeah but i know only beasts.”
“Can we choose animals from another planets?”
“You haven’t been to other planets so no.”
“I saw someone manipulating fire can i choose from them?”
“Lion for fire. Shark for water. Which element do you want?”
“Is there any element for locating people?”
“Some snake mosaics have tracking abilities.”
“I would be okay with those”
I was layed on a bench while she held a pen and ink.
The ink lit as she closed her eyes and turn black.
The pen sparkled as she inscribed on me.
