Chapter 15-Devil Starts His Hunt.

Rise Of The Godly Manipulators.

A Week Later:

'All is well.'

Just as Lex had planned, his mother's mental stability went down the drain in the following days. It reached a level where his sister and even the servants in the family started to notice it. To the level that his grandfather took action, taking control of the business for some time.

Even the loving meetings that Lex has with his mother turned out to be pure torture for her. She even refuses to see him for some time, making the situation sour within the family and the mansion.

"I'm sorry, young master, but Master Serena has something important today, and she can't make it," Sandra said to Lex with a bit of sorrow in her eyes. Her voice was apologetic, and Lex made sure to show his 'disappointment' as he replied with his head down.

"I see, then I hope to talk with mother after this important thing of hers today."

His reply just got a head pat from Sandra as Lex started to walk away, his return looking quite sad, but the thoughts running in Lex's mind were far from sadness. 'So today is the day.'

Lex thought, already knowing that his mother was planning on releasing her madness today, and he had already planned everything to go with it; the actions had to be silent yet dynamic.

For Lex did all this to get his mother's mentality at the worst, such that when the time comes, he shall be able to place an extremely big imprint on his mother, one that will be bigger than even his father had.

'Time to set it all in motion.'

"So you know the plan, right?"

Lex asked Kaelum, who stood in front of him, the man having a very serious expression on his face as he asked.

"Young master, are you sure of this?"

"I am, for my mother to be back to normal, I need to do this."

Lex replied, his voice strong, and the care he has for his mother very apparent in his tone. After all, he doesn't want Kaelum to think that Lex can't even feel for his mother; then keeping this man's loyalty alive will be hard.

You need to show compassion here and there in the ones that follow you, else their loyalty to you won't last long. It's something that Lex has learned; he has to care even if he doesn't, and after years, Lex has mastered covering his emotions and controlling himself.

The story behind Lex to Kaelum is that he spoke to Kaelum that the reason for all his mother's current actions is due to her disease eating her up, making it hard for Serena to live a grey life. Lex even stressed the fact that the only way to save his mother would be for Lex to give Serena his forgiveness.

Else Lex has stressed very well that his mother might lead the whole of the family towards a very dark future. Then comes the question, why can't Lex just get him and his mother to a room and have a heart-to-heart talk, to end this problem once and for all?

And to that, Lex has already stressed to Kaelum that his mother is currently in a very bad mental state, and he just going to talk about it might lead to his mother going berserk. So Lex talking to his mother when she is in her outburst will help to affect her mother more.

Lex even showed the signs and talks he had with different therapists to Kaelum, backing his words. It took some time, but Kaelum finally agreed to his plans. Of course, there are some holes in the plan, but over the years, Kaelum has come to trust in Lex's judgment.

Plus, Lex had already stressed to Kaelum that this would be the path towards getting his family back, something which quickly put Kaelum on board. But even then, Kaelum still feels quite fearful of my health.

"Young master, I shall stress again, please be careful when you deal with your mother. If Master Serena is in a berserker state, she might not even recognise you."

"Don't worry, Kaelum, I have it all covered."

Lex replied as he looked at Kaelum, who just nodded his head. The two of them were now headed to deal with the issue of what was to come, to face both Sandra and Serena at the same time. ... Click...Click…..Click…..Click

The sound of footsteps was heard as Sandra looked forward. She stood in front of Serena's door, guarding it like a perfect guardian, her back straight, while she looked forward, her eyes soon coming upon both Kaelum and Lex walking towards them.

"Young master, what are you doing here?"

Sandra asked in a loving tone as she looked at Lex. Her eyes moved toward Kaelum for a moment before settling back on Lex.

"I came to visit my mother, Sandra."

Lex spoke, his voice being strong and focused, to which Sandra frowned, her eyes flashing as she spoke.

"But, young master, as I spoke, Master Serena is busy. She will meet you after it."

"What kind of busy thing is it that this entire sector of mothers is evacuated to only keep you here?"

Lex asked, bringing a frown to Sandra as she spoke.

"Young master-"

"I am not asking you, Sandra, I am telling you."

Lex spoke in a commanding voice, and just as he did, Kaelum moved into action. His hands were like a claw attacking Sandra, who quickly realised the attack and diverted it with her hand, a powerful wind blowing from their hit, yet even then, the two of them made sure to control the wave so as not to harm Lex.

"Young master, what is the meaning of this?!"

Sandra screamed, but Lex didn't look at her, his hand pushing the door as he entered, his whispers just being left.

"I'm sorry."

And with that, the door closed behind, leaving the fuming Sandra to stare at Kaelum, who spoke back with a wry smile.

"Even though the young master is asking me for this, I would still like to fight you for moving my family."

And with that, their fight began, with the two of them trying their best not to spread the attack out wide, making sure that no other attention would be brought to this place. ….. Lex stepped into the room. The space exuded extravagance. The room itself seemed to shimmer with an air of affluence, from the gilded edges of the furniture to the soft glow of crystal chandeliers that hung like suspended galaxies from the ceiling.

The walls were adorned with intricate tapestries shimmering with golden accents. Each step on the plush carpet felt like a descent into luxury, its fibres caressing Lex's shoes.

Lex's eyes traced the room's perimeter, where floor-to-ceiling windows framed a breathtaking view of the forest below. The windows themselves were draped in ethereal curtains, made from a fabric that seemed to capture the moonlight and cast a gentle glow upon the room.

The centrepiece of the room was a grand piano, its polished surface reflecting the soft radiance of the chandeliers above. Priceless paintings hung in ornate frames, their colours so vivid that they almost came to life. Sculptures, carved by the hands of masters, adorned various surfaces, inviting admiration from anyone who entered.

The furniture itself was a marvel of craftsmanship, each piece a testament to the family's refined taste. Plush velvet sofas beckoned with their inviting softness, while intricately carved coffee tables displayed rare artefacts that spoke of a world traveller's exploits.

As Lex moved further into the room, he glimpsed a private library tucked away behind an ornate door. The shelves were lined with leather-bound volumes, an extensive collection that spanned centuries and encompassed the wisdom of civilisations. A beautiful balcony attached to.

But what always takes Lex's attention is the beautiful marriage portrait hung in the middle, both his mother and father in family dress, holding their love on their wedding night; besides that, lies another beautifully drawn picture of him and the rest of the family.

Lex could remember the day it was drawn, a lot of attention was taken to it, with his entire family having to stay together for some time till the picture was completed. The picture is one in which Lex is 5 years old, standing in front of his mother with a bowtie, looking cute with his innocent smile, while his mother and father each hold Lily and Rose. Overall, the painting itself is beautifully done.

Looking at it, Lex didn't feel much; he just stared at his father as he spoke in his heart.

'Dad, I am going to get Mom. Give me your blessings.'

If his father were to ever hear his true intention, he might still spit blood in his grave. Thankfully, the poor Guy is already long gone, giving the devil its chance to shine its desires on.
