My story began when I was three, and my mother, the abdicated Queen of the Blood-Red Dragon clan was assassinated along with my human father, and I was dumped in the slums of Nirvan. Right off the bat I was a target of slavers, blood-hunters, and rogues of all sorts who thought they could use me to further their criminal activities. For years, I fought, I evaded, I escaped. Then in the summer of my sixteenth year, the Goddess set her sights on me, and my life changed forever.

I had become a successful adventurer, but I was hated by all in Nirvan. I was neither dragon nor human. Because they all knew me as an orphan grown up in the slums, they all called me the Ragdoll Adventurer. The name was to remind me I was originally an orphan in rags when I became an adventurer, and because I was considered good-looking enough to be a worker in the brothels, but had defied all attempts to be forced into being a Companion in the Brothels.

While I was performing a quest posted at the Adventurers Guildhall, a purple light appeared in the sky and scared my prey. While in pursuit of one of my prey, I ran into a Dark Elf, Kanae Dreamweaver, who wasn’t what she seemed to be. I ended up taking her in, as she was almost completely helpless. It turned out she had been summoned to my world from another world, and had been a human in a former life. The Goddess who summoned her had given her no knowledge of the world she’d been sent to. So I taught her how to survive in this world.Full novel: Rise Of The Ragdoll: Part 2, Book 2 of Isekai Tales — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

She was crazy powerful. More powerful than even me, had she been properly prepared and educated, by the Goddess, before dropping her in the middle of a dangerous forest. In simpler terms, the Goddess set me up, to take her in, and do all of that work she should have done. But the goddess wasn’t done screwing around with me. No, this was only the beginning!

So long, quiet and peaceful life as an obscure adventurer. Kanae was an all affinity mage user of an extremely high level. This was enough to gain the attention of the Queen of the realm. We were “requested” to take on a special request for the Queen. On the way there, we stopped at a Faerie Mound, I knew of and traded some of my treasure hoard for a special artifact for Kanae. After that we detected another offworlder summoning, which Kanae called an Isekai event. Summonings were by the way, very illegal, and a death sentence for both the summoner and the ones summoned. So I had to hide this fact.

So, now the Goddess dropped two more offworlders, Takanaka Aoi, and Diarmaidh Ó Neill, who were completely unequipped for survival on their own, into my lap. These Isekai were almost as equally unique and powerful as Kanae. Kanae and I then continued to our special request for the Queen, and killed a Rainbow Wyrm. Only problem was, there were actually two of them. Aoi and Darby then joined our adventurer guild party, and we began training them up. The Queen of course was informed of our new ridiculously overpowered guild members. She then ordered us to report to the capital and take the entrance exams for the Magik Academy.

The week before we were scheduled to go to the Capital, yet another overpowered person was summoned right in front of us. Yes, I was now blessed with four illegal summoned people. Three humans and a dark elf, who was a human in her original world. So we naturally brought her along with a letter of introduction from the Adventurers Guild Guildmaster, explaining the new member of my party. Naturally, we all passed the entrance exam, even the parts of the exam they failed.

Failure was never going to be an option. The queen wasn’t about to let five of the most dangerous beings in the world run around free to do whatever. As a fully grown adult dragon princess, I wasn’t exactly weak. A special dorm was created to house the five of us. Our dorm mother was to be the Queen’s cousin. What a surprise that was. We made the best of our situation. We weren’t allowed to take on any jobs from the Adventurers Guild while at school. We were allowed to dive in the Dungeons, so we could at least make some money. Since we were in the Academy under scholarship of Mage Knight program, which made us part of the Realm’s military, we got some minor income from that as well.

At the end of the first semester we were diving in the Dungeon when we came upon a guild that was clearly going to wind up dead. We stepped in and helped them kill the Wyrms they were facing. The party then immediately attacked us. So, we had run into a guild party that prayed on beginner guilds. We worked our way out of fighting them, which is a serious offense for adventurers. We managed to avoid getting into trouble with the Guild or the Academy, with some careful planning.

After the Spring mid-term Marquise Margaret was murdered. We were assigned to protect her daughter, Ériu, and see her safely escorted to her mother’s funeral. This was just ac cover as the Queen had assigned us to solve the murder. Which we did, but we uncovered the existence of the underground cult, the Orphean Cult. We successfully took down the operation of the cult in that region, but made an enemy in the process.

Then summer came, and a fellow student hired us for a quest that the Adventurers Guild wouldn’t accept. This was of course because it was an extremely dangerous quest, that probably no other guild party could have completed. It was a request to retrieve a legendary grimoire from the ruins of a Darkling city. A ridiculously impossible mission, but I had a strong suspicion with these four Isekai people we had the power to succeed.

Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

It was a harrowing mission, and we were able to get in, but we were followed by some who didn’t want us to succeed, because the grimoire was quite valuable, if it could be obtained, and it was required to save the life of our client’s sister. The person who cursed her sister may have been behind the people who were following us. Of course access to the Darkling ruins was enough for anyone to follow us. We discovered many priceless artifacts and grimoires, but looting all that wasn’t our goal. We did take a few loose artifacts along the way.

We did manage to find the necessary grimoire, and retrieve it. Only to discover it was protected by the last surviving Darkling in the city. Somehow we conquered his defenses and passed his trials, and he allowed us to take the grimoire. We then quickly escaped leaving the party of people who came with our client, because we knew we couldn’t trust them. With the grimoire we saved the girl who’d been cursed, and hid the grimoire.

When the queen found out about our adventure we were grounded from traveling and forbidden to take any quests without her prior consent. We noticed an A-Ranked quest that seemed interesting, so we got permission to take that. Having been promoted to B rank as a result of the unofficial SSS ranked quest we’d taken on. That quest turned out to be a trap set specifically for us. The trap actually caught some unsuspecting merchant, that we managed to save before they were completely wiped out. We went on then to finish clearing that quest which ended with an attack by Rock Chimeras, Orphean cult mages, and hired mercenaries.

During our final battle, the Goddess chose to send us a Mithril Dwarf summon to be the final member of our Isekai Party. Her name was Kaneshiro Róisína, with Kaneshiro being her surname. She like Aoi used her name like the Islanders of Hrematia did, which was the reverse of every other nation. This was another human offworlder, who’d requested to be made a dwarf in this world. The Goddess actually, sort of, prepared this summon, and thus she had full knowledge of this world and off us. We were all shocked that the Goddess had done that.

We returned and reported to the Queen, and the queen and the Nation’s top Arch-mage, Bertilde, were quite shocked to discover she was a Mithril Dwarf, as none had been seen in living memory. Again she was ridiculously over-powered, including a Blessing from the Goddess of War who’d gifted her a Warhammer. Rosie was of course admitted to the Academy and housed in our dorm. Soon enough the summer over and we had to return to the Academy.

It was at this point, my aunt, the Red Dragon Queen, assigned my four mixed race Dragonkin as guards. This, of course, exposed to the entire Academy, that I was a Dragon Princess. I had been hiding my dragon attributes up to this point. This of course gave me lots of unwanted attention, and would-be suitors, and enemies. This was a human realm after all, and Dragons had long since abandoned the other twelve realms. Yes, the Dragon-human Peace treaty protected dragons, but only on paper. My guards were called Hestia, Vulcana, Enya, and Kamara and were all devoted followers, considering me their queen.

It was at this time that I introduced myself to Fergus, whom I hoped to form social and political connections to. I would need to have connections to the royals and nobles of the nation, given the probable plans the Queen had for me, and my guild mates. This didn’t quite work out as planned. Fergus had mistaken my approach as seeking a romantic relationship. I didn’t see this, until my friends pointed it out. Shortly after that, I got talked into taking my full dragon form. Something, I had not done in years. When I transformed it was obvious I’d grown into my adult form, and my royal color had even grown in. I wound up giving a ride to Kanae, who I’d promised a ride long ago, and to Fergus, my lover. Although we hadn’t gone very far. The queen and Academy Headmistress, were very upset, and I was literally grounded by order of the Queen, along with detention from the Headmistress.

A few assassination attempts were made on my life, and I caught the actual assassin. I had a near miss accident of almost going into heat. We were all having fun in studying and training with Fergus’ close friends, and their training with us raised all of their skills and ranks rapidly. As part of my punishment for my joyride around the city in my dragon form I was training the Queen’s elite guard, and they also gained greatly from my training of them.

Then shortly after my punishment was over Fergus, his companions, my companions, princess Celeste and I went to a famous old spa resort village for training. While there we discovered there was an ancient, lost seventh affinity, the affinity of Spirit. I actually activated my spirit affinity while there. Then a Spirit which had passed beyond the Veil told me to awaken my spirit and to see out the Divine Spear. An order the Ancient Red Mother gave me as well, after she had summoned me and heard my tale.

Then just before finals, I proposed to Fergus, who I’d been dating for a while. I had totally and completely fallen in love with Fergus, and my medicine suppressing my heat cycle had stopped working. We were married by the Queen, and we consummated our marriage. Then the graduation ceremony came, and the Queen created a new Order just for Fergus, our mutual companions and myself, call the Order of the Crimson Ruby. The Queen’s most elite mage knights.

We were then tasked with seeking the Divine Spear, and any relics we could find along with that. So after our research we determined there were two likely places it would be. So we decided to investigate the ruins of the White Dragon City. The lower parts of the city had been ransacked over the ages, and not much remained of great value in them. The Noble and Royal sectors appeared to be untouched since the Fall of the White Dragon Empire.

We found a way in to the Royal sector and found the Throne room. In the throne room we found White Dragon Empress’ Sceptre. When I approached the sceptre it flew into my hand unbidden. It also turned me into a White Dragon, through some strange magik. In the act of doing so it recognized me as the heir and ruler of the extinct White Dragon Realm and the city as a result. The City defenses alerted me to a dangerous invading force. We then sped to the Northern Gate and met the Force across the plain before the city. We now had to either defend the city, or flee.
