We got my suitors settled in, then we gathered in my room, and began our Suitor War Council by comparing notes.
“The Imperial Brat in our carriage thinks very highly of himself. You’ll be very lucky to land him as mate. He comes from the very best stock. He might even make you produce almost respectable children. He even suffered having to lower himself to speak to such lowly creatures as us. As you suspected, some of the nobles sent their refuse of children in hopes to turn you into a puppet ruler, and their head of their House ruling the nation,” said Kanae.
“Wow. The apples don’t fall far from the tree. My carriage could be the mirror image of Kanae’s,”
“Well, at least we have a consistent blend of mediocre. I’ll have to date all of them, several times. You’re mission, should you choose to accept it, is search the student body for any decent humans from the Empire, or Wallachia that would fit the requirements of the Agreement.”
I secured an agreement to have a wedding on Yule’s Day to whoever my chosen suitor was. The Empress was on board. The wedding will take place in the Grand Hall of the Academy. After three weeks of dating, and searching the student body, I could delay it no longer.
“Vericus, I accept you as my fiancé. We are to be married on Yule’s Day. Are you prepared?” I asked.
“I am. Have you told the Empress?” Vericus said.
“I have not. Tell her if you wish. Are you really prepared? We will be true mates. For life. We will produce heirs together. As per the ‘ancient rites’, according to the Empress’ words,” I said.
“Wait!? Did you say according to the ancient rites?” Vericus asked.
“Yes, I did. Are you having second thoughts?” I said.
“Do you know what the Imperial Ancient Rites say about marriage?” Vericus said.
“Not specifically, no. I have a general understanding, of them,” I said.
“The Ancient Rites require that an heir, or pregnancy, be produced within a year for any vassal royal or noble marriage. If that doesn’t happen, the Empire assigns a regent for the relevant position. You would be stripped of your status as Queen, and it would be very difficult to reclaim the throne,” Vericus said.
“So, that was her scheme. Well, it’s troublesome, but probably not an issue. Because I am near my days now, and likely I will be in my days when we marry. We will of course be mating after our wedding ceremony. So, I’ll probably get pregnant on our wedding night. I should have already cycled, which was why we choose the Yule, as I should have been safe by then. That was the other thing I had to tell you about today. We will likely be creating a child on our wedding night.”
“Wait, you plan to consummate our marriage right away? But you are always talking about not wanting to have children for years. I don’t think I’m ready for this, my beloved,” Vericus said.
“Well, you’re right, I don’t want to have any more children right now, but things seem to keep conspiring against my best laid plans. So no worries, you have about a week to get ready to become a father. Plus the human nine-month incubation, if, other dragonkin are any reference,” I said.
“Well, I guess it’s too late to back out now. You’ve already locked yourself into the first year anyway. I bet the Empress was betting you’d pick an Imperial spouse, and they’d delay the mating until it was too late.”
“Probably, but they were all terrible people,” I said.
The week passed, and the Empress arrived, and we met in the great hall with all the suitors she’d sent.
“My Empress, and my suitors, now is the time to inform you all that I have chosen, as my intended, whom I will marry on the morrow, Duke Vericus Mac Niall of Wallachia,” I said, and Vericus rose from the seats in the hall with the Nobles, royals, and the curious who had come for the wedding, and approached.
“Queen Deirdre, that is not acceptable. Vericus was not among the list of suitors we provided for your consideration. You must choose one of these seven we have selected,” Empress Badh said.
“It is alright your majesty, I was already dating Vericus by the time you finished compiling your list, and as per our Vassal Agreement I am allowed to choose any royal or Noble of either Wallachia or the Empire. We are both of majority and without guardian. We have obtained consent of both of our Houses. Everything is in order. While all of the suitors your majesty has selected were fine examples of both the Empire and Wallachia, we have just connected with Vericus the most,” I said.
The Empress fumed for several moments, until finally composing herself, and stated,
“This is very irregular, and normally you would have had guardians to guide you both properly, but what is done is done. The impetuous youths have slipped one by, and we can only hope you will not regret these choices later. May the Goddess Bless you, and your life together be fruitful. We wait with anxious joy for your nuptials on the morrow,”
“May the Goddess Protect your Supreme Majesty, and your Empire prosper and persevere,” I said.
In the morning I gathered with my personal household in the White City.
“Hestia, we need to do it again. Am I in my days?” I said.
“You have not begun to cycle, my Queen,” Hestia said.
“We need to make it happen then, by other means,” I said.
“We should wait until it is time to retire,” Hestia said.
“I expect the Empress has one last card to play. We cannot risk it. Just do it,” I said.
Hestia picked up the egg I pulled from my storage and inserted it into me.
“You are ready, my Queen. Now to prepare and dress,” Hestia said.
We teleported along with my dragonkin nurse, Yasuko, to the capital, leaving my three growing eggs with my husband and eggnurse.
After the wedding and reception, Vericus and I rose to retire to our wedding suite, when the Empress said,
“Now is the time for the Bedding Ceremony! Bring out the bedding cup of fertility!”
“What!?” Vericus shouted.
“Oh, what a wonderful idea!” I said.
“Let us drink of the nectar of life, my husband,” I said.
From the corner of my eye I saw Yasuko trying to frantically reach me. The Empress’ chamberlain brought us a cup of nectar. Often the Nectar of Life was served at weddings to promote sexual drive and fertility among humans. It had almost no effect on dragons, or dragonkin. We took the chalice offered us, and I scanned it for poisons and toxic chemicals and found none.
“My queen! You mustn’t drink that nectar!” Yasuko said.
The Chamberlain tipped the chalice that was already at our mouths, and the nectar flowed in. Yasuko’s eyes bulged out. But I felt no ill effects from the drink.
“Let go of my trusted nurse and let her approach,” I said.
“My Queen, you should not have drunk that! It is not safe for you in your current condition!” She said.
“I sense no issue, Yasuko. Go ahead and perform your scan,” I said.
Yasuko scanned me and then shook her head.
“You are too careless, my Queen,” She said.
Then the wedding party carried us to the wedding suite and proceeded to undress us. Vericus was having a terrible time of it. When all we had on was my panties and his boxers, they tossed us into the bed. Vericus was terrified, but also very excited. I pulled off his boxers, and said,
“Undress me, husband, and let us mate.”
I had to place his hands on my hips, and help him pull down my panties. He couldn’t take his eyes off my glistening opening.
“Y...y...you are wet, my beloved,” Vericus said, and some in the room began laughing.
“Yes, my husband, you have gotten me very excited, I am ready for you. Come, and give me a child, my husband,” I said. I pulled him in to me and guided him in for his first experience. When I climaxed, our Mana exploded, and I pulled him over with me, and he climaxed as well. When his hot milk exploded inside me, I flashed! Oh no!
“Oh Great Goddess!” I screamed.
As he filled me, I’d pulled in his mana, on instinct, and my belly glowed. Vericus panicked and pulled away.
“No! No. No, no no no no! Oh, Please Goddess, NO!”
“Get my nurse!”
“Why does the Goddess hate me!” I wept.
“It is a blessing, my Queen. The Goddess loves you, and has blessed your union,” Vulcana said.
Yasuko barged through the spectators, and the glow was already beginning to fade, but she saw it, and ran at me, shoving away the remaining spectators, who all looked puzzled, and the Empress was barely suppressing a twisted grin.
“This is ...” Yasuko said, as she cast a spell circle over my privates and lower stomach.

“Terrible,” I said.
“Impossible” Yasuko said.
“Incredible. Never in a thousand years has this happened,” Yasuko said.
“Is there anything we can do?” I asked.
“This is beyond wonderful, my Queen!” Yasuko said.
“You are having twins!” Yasuko said.
“No. Oh goddess, why?” I said and began actually crying. Why was I crying? I never cried.
The Empress’ near grin turned to a scowl, and everyone else was overjoyed. Matilde, Celes, and Ériu were looking troubled, if you could read their eyes. Vericus was sitting there with a deflated wood, and looked like a petrified deer. My Bridal party started shooing the spectators out of the room. I pulled poor Vericus in and hugged him.
“Congratulations my husband, we are going to have twins,” I said. I began kissing him until he finally stirred.
“You’re really pregnant with twins?” He asked.
“Oh, yes, two daughters, I can sense them. They are very strong. I don’t know what was in the chalice the Empress gave us to drink, but it amplified some things. This is not going to be a normal pregnancy. Yasuko get a sample of the nectar, we’ll figure out what it is,” I said.
“Why were you so upset then?” Vericus asked.
“This will only increase the false rumor that I am super-fertile. It will really make me the center of attention,” I said.
“Oh,” he said.
“See, even you are getting excited at the thought,” I said as I grabbed his new erection, and began round two of our wedding night. I’m afraid, that whatever that drink contained, I was now super-energized, and worked my poor deflowered husband to the point of exhaustion for the rest of the night.
“Good morning my beloved, Aren’t you the early riser?” I said in the morning when we woke.
“No more, please. I’m too sore,” he said groggily.
“Well, I did try to warn you my husband, I am a dragon, and still in my days,” I said, as I slid down gently on his stiff rod.
“Your Yule Log is still burning hot. I’m going to have to keep soaking it until it goes out,” I said.
“That method won’t work, it only makes me hotter my beloved,” he replied with the biggest smile.
“So, you seem to have accepted your fatherhood reasonably well,” I said.
“I am happy. Thrilled, but terrified. I was thinking more along the lines of five years down the road,”
“It’s a date then my husband. More children in five years,” I said, grinning.
“Are you serious? We have already done what we are required to do,”
“You keep forgetting, I have told you, Dragons mate for life, and we live for a very long time. More importantly we remain fertile for a very long time. You are my husband now, we will be mating for a long time, and probably have a large family,” I said.
“Wait, how long do dragonkin live?” he asked.
“I doubt I am actually dragonkin anymore. I am the White Queen, and will probably have a natural lifespan of a thousand years, or more,” I said.
“But, I am human, I won’t live anywhere near that long!” Vericus said.
“You are no longer merely human, You have mated with a dragon, and exchanged mana with a dragon. You will live many times longer than a mere human. You will age slower, you will grow stronger, and many other changes beyond what a mere human can hope for. That is why, I make sure I am mating with a worthy human. Had you not been worthy, I’d have refused to marry any at this time,” I said.
“Wait, I thought you were only choosing the best candidate in a bad situation,” Vericus.
“I would never willingly mate with an unworthy mate. I chose you, because I found you worthy of being a dragon’s mate, and wanted to mate with you,” I said.
As the realization set in his arousal spiked, and that pushed him over the edge, and he exploded in me, losing control of his mana and his mana flooded into me with his seed. He passed out from mana exhaustion, and I lit up with an inner glow as he forced another egg out of me, and now I was carrying triplets. Whatever that drug was, it was still active inside me. I then pushed some mana into him to cure his condition. When he awoke, I said,
“Congratulations, you got super aroused there, and forced all your mana into me just now. I had to pour some back in, as you overextended. You gave me quite the rush,” I said.
“Did you enjoy that?”
“I did, but you also forced another egg from my ovaries, and we have triplets now. I think we’d better refrain from anymore mating until I’m really out of my days.”
“I gave you another? How is that possible?” he asked.
“I don’t know? Magik?” I said.
“Pft. See, I told you, no more. Triplets. That’s really kind of cool. I really forced you to drop another egg?” he said.
“You sure did. Shocked the Hell out of me,” I said.
“We need to get up, and I need to go to my nest. I want you to come with,” I said.
We materialized in the Lower part of the New White City.
“This is the former ruins of the White Dragon Empire? It’s amazing! Have you rebuilt all of it?” Vericus said.
“Not everything. There is still plenty to do,” I said.
“It’s very active here,” he said.
We grabbed a royal carriage, and headed for the palace. Vericus was glued to the window taking it all in as we moved through the quarters of the city.
We entered the Royal quarter, and I stopped in the Throne room to see if there was anything for me to do.
“Sit my beloved Consort,” I said, and pointed to one of the lesser thrones. We spent a few hours dealing with the management and rebuilding of the City, and the plains. Then we exited to the nest where my eggs were growing. I transformed.
“Well met, husband king,” I said.
“Well met, my Queen. You have grown, again. You are also with children again,” Kazan said.
“Yes, I am, and unexpectedly, with too many. Yasuko? I need you’re knowledge,” I said.
“You have foolishly birthed another three children,” Kazan said.
“It was not intentional. He gave me one more this morning.”
“My Queen! You look different than yesterday,” Yasuko said.
“We mated this morning when we woke up. He forced another egg from me. I am now carrying three children. Any luck on the potion?” I said.
“That’s impossible,” Yasuko said as she examined me.
“Impossible, and yet you have managed to do the unthinkable again,” Yasuko said.
“You need to learn to curb your appetite, my Queen.” Kazan said.
“You are infected, my Queen. Come closer,” Kazan said. He reached out with a claw and started drawing dark mana from my body. Then he held a small compressed circle of the mana.
“A poison. Nurse, a vial please,” Kazan said.
“Nurse! A container!”
Yasuko brought him a vial, and he forced the poison into the vial, and sealed it.
“This is connected to that puzzlingpotion the Nurse is examining. This would have poisoned our eggs somehow,”
“Kazan, my King, this is my new mate. Please meet King Vericus of Wallachia,” I said.
“Well met human king, treat my mate well,” Kazan said.
“Well met, Mighty Red King. I will not fail to treat well my beloved, as the magnificent Queen she is,” Vericus said.
“I am the Dragon King of the White Realm, not the Red King,” Kazan said.
“Yes, of course, forgive my ignorance of the proper titles. I have much to learn, your magnificence,” Vericus said.
“Hestia, will you escort King Vericus to the royal chambers, and arrange for a tour of the palace for him?”
“As you wish, my Queen,”
I exchanged places with Kazan, and he flew off to hunt and relax. I laid down on my nest of eggs.
“My queen, your dragonkin eggs are secured, you need have no fear they will drop into the nest,”
“In one way that is a good thing, in another it is not,” I said.
“I feel very different on the nest now. Is there anything off, Yasuko?”
“I see nothing wrong, my Queen. All of your eggs are healthy and growing strongly.”
I drifted off, nursing on my eggs. When I awoke, it was time to head to Wallachia.
“Gate.” I cast, and we walked into the throne room of the Crystalline Palace, in Wallachia. In the city below the citizens were celebrating the Yule with food and drink. We opened the palace parade grounds for a festival. We stepped out on an overlooking balcony.
“Happy Yule, citizens and visitors. We are happy to celebrate the Yule with you. On Yule’s Day we were wed to Duke Vericus, of Wallachia, and on Yule’s Eve we conceived a daughter with our husband King Vericus in the presence of the Empress, and many guests and witnesses. King Vericus is abdicating his Duchy to his sister Justina, and will be her guardian, until she reaches full age. Joyous Yule to one and all!”
“A joyous Yule, and may the Goddess shine on our people, on our Nation, and on our Queen, my beloved wife!” Vericus said.
“Joyous Yule and may the Goddess Bless the King and Queen, and their unborn!” the crowd shouted.
Then perhaps, because Vericus was now king, and one of their own would be in the Palace, and the stability of the Nation seemed secure, the people celebrated with even greater zeal. The next day, I took Vericus to my other possession, being managed by my husband Aodhán, the son of a duchess now titled as a count. After spending a day celebrating there, Vericus returned to Wallachia to help manage the Queendom. The Yule passed peacefully, and the month passed almost without issue. There was only one small, tiny little issue that came up a few days before classes resumed.
“My queen, there is no doubt. Your pregnancy is proceeding very strongly. You are overflowing with mana, and your pregnancy is now three months along, instead of one. Your eggs, have also shown three months worth of growth in the past month. Your eggs will probably hatch now in one to two months, and your pregnancy will complete in no more than three months. Your two batches of children are resonating with each other, and synchronized their growth rate. Combined they are pulling a great deal of mana from the Ley Lines,” Yasuko said.
“Of, for the love of Fuck. How did this happen?”
“Please, your majesty, no more fucking until your children are born. Who knows what trouble that would cause,” Celes said.
“Not funny Celes,” I said.
“I thought it was pretty clever,” Kanae said, and chuckled, as did the rest of the room. Even Yasuko.
“Indeed, as your nurse, I must prescribe abstinence for the next three months,” Yasuko said, clearly having fun with this.
“Any idea what’s causing this? Are the children in any danger?”
“Your babies are all progressing well, and are strong and healthy. Your body, seems to be adjusting well also. I am more worried about your health going forward. The only issue, I can see is both you, and your growing babies, seem to be experiencing some physical stress from the rapid growth cycle,” Yasuko said.
“Any further development on what was in that honeyed drink?” I asked.
“Yes my Queen. I finally isolated the poison. There was a strong dose of Dragon Nip in the drink. While it is commonly seen as harmless, and causes dragon family species to get stoned on the leaf, it is also a powerful and dangerous abortifacient. It should have prevented you from getting pregnant at all. However, it has the reverse effect on humans, making them more fertile. Historical evidence hints at it being effective at preventing pregnancy on dragonkin, only if they transform into a dragon form while the chemical is active in the body. We think, that your body detected it and took countermeasures, to utilize the human effect. Since the drug remained in your system for days, you were at risk of having another child every time you had intercourse,” Yasuko said.
“Ok, Aoi. You’re up. Make me a bracelet that detects dragon nip!” I said.
“You got it boss! One fertility drug sensor coming up. When you have a chance, I’d like to show you my progress on making a floating island,” Aoi said.
“Oh, you think you’ve found a way to do that?” I said.
“I’m very close to a working model,” Aoi said.
“Marvelous!” I said.
Soon it was time to return to Academy. When we walked through the quad to class, it was obvious that news of my pregnancy, with ‘twins’ was all over campus. Due to the fact I was actually carrying triplets, and magikally three months pregnant, I was showing, just a little. This of course resulted in numerous theories and rumors. Mainly that someone other than my new husband was the father. This spawned numerous conspiracy theories.
Within a month it was clearly obvious we were hiding something. I was effectively six months pregnant with triplets, and I looked, and felt, every bit to be full term with a single child. Let me tell you, it was Hell. I was totally ready for these three instruments of pain to pop out. Like right now! I was in constant pain from the growing babies. The stretching, the rapid muscle growth. I felt like I was taking on a Royal Footman Race on a daily basis. All my years of dungeon diving, and adventuring couldn’t compare to six months of pregnancy compressed into two. I didn’t know how I was going to survive the next month, but I expected to be reduced to an invalid in a matter of weeks.
Then my eggs hatched. We concealed the news, but the baby dragons escaped the hatchery, and were seen flying over the White Dragon Royal Palace, and that was that. People in the noble section saw it.
“Did you hear? Someone saw one red and two white baby dragons flying over the New White Dragon Royal Palace, but the Palace is not reporting anything,” whispered a student on the quad.
“It’s only been five months. Don’t dragon eggs take a year or more to hatch?” whispered a blonde-haired, green-eyed student.
“And what about the White Queen? She looks about to pop, and last month she just had a little bump. That’s not normal. No way she’s not going to pop soon. It’s only been two months since her mating with the Wallachian husband, and alleged father,” a black-hair fulsome beauty whispered.
“You think he’s really the father? I hear there’s doubt he really is the father,” said another, a little too loud.
“Look at how fast she’s carrying. I bet those rumors are only because of how fast she’s incubating. They’re hiding how fast she incubates. I bet she’s even carrying triplets and not twins. Just watch. They’re going to hide the third child, and say she just had twins, when they pop in days, or a few weeks,” said the first student.
