“You’d better kill me!”

Marcus rolled his eyes.

“Forget it, let me explain my deal.”

“To revive Krypton, you don’t have to use this planet.”

“I just happen to have another one.

Well…

technically it’s a lifeless planet.”

Marcus used Psychokinesis to grab a handful of ice and squeezed it into two ice balls, one large and one small.

Then he pointed at the smaller one and said:

“Although the environment on this planet is harsher than Earth, humans can still survive there.”

“It just has two suns, so the nights are very short.

It’s sunny almost all the time.”

“But for Kryptonians, that’s actually a good thing.”

That’s right.

The planet Marcus mentioned was the one where Hive had been exiled.

Zod was clearly tempted when he heard that.

If what Marcus said was true, then that planet would actually suit Kryptonians better than Earth!

The only problem was…

“We searched the universe for countless years and still couldn’t find a suitable planet.” Zod questioned him.

“Why should I believe you?”

“Snap!” Marcus snapped his fingers.

“I knew you’d say that, so…”

He directly opened the Gate of Babylon and released the Space Di’Alla (Black Monolith).

With one punch, he shattered the reinforced glass around it.

Then he used the Rabbit Talisman to vibrate his arm at high frequency, creating shockwaves.

The vibration frequency kept increasing.

At a certain point, the solid Monolith activated, melted into liquid, and rushed toward them.

Marcus used Psychokinesis to hold himself in place so he wouldn’t get dragged in.

“Go check it out yourself.

I’ll reopen the portal in five minutes.”

After removing the restraint, the black liquid immediately swallowed Zod and sent him through the portal.

Marcus stopped vibrating his arm, and the black Monolith returned to normal.

“Whoosh…”

Jor El’s projection appeared and stared at Marcus expressionlessly.

“Does a planet like that really exist?” Jor El asked.

Marcus ignored him completely.

Who told this guy to kick him out earlier?

He put away the black Monolith and walked out without looking back.

After leaving the Kryptonian ship, Marcus didn’t leave immediately.

Instead, he looked toward North America.

One of the world engines was still running.

The dust storm it created covered the sky and could be seen clearly even from here.

“Ring ring…”

Marcus’s phone rang with the default ringtone.

He had been too busy lately to change it.

The moment he picked it up, the call connected automatically.

“Where the hell did you go?” Fury roared.

“Both the U.S.

city and Japan have already fallen!”

“Those idiots in the Security Council issued an order to launch nukes.

They’re preparing nuclear strikes on over two hundred cities!”

“The first missile launches in ten minutes.

Why the hell aren’t you doing anything?”

After Fury finished yelling, Marcus finally replied lazily.

“If nothing unexpected happens, all the Kryptonians will stop in five minutes.

Just maintain the current situation…”

Before he finished speaking,

A massive beam of light shot into the sky.

The world engine exploded!

The corner of Marcus’s mouth twitched.

Still one step too late.

“This…

shouldn’t affect the outcome, right?” Fury asked carefully.

“What do you think?” Marcus replied calmly.

“I was negotiating with Zod and offering them a better planet to rebuild Krypton.

Now you’ve blown up one of their only world engines.

How am I supposed to continue negotiating?”

Fury: “…”

“Just wait to die then.

I’m packing my bags and leaving.”

“Wait!

Wait!” Fury shouted quickly.

“No matter what conditions you have, as long as you solve this crisis, on behalf of S.H.I.E.L.D, I’ll agree to anything!”

The moment he said that,

Fury was already prepared to bleed heavily.

He was worried that if the offer wasn’t attractive enough, Marcus would really abandon Earth.

And honestly,

Marcus was very satisfied with this reaction.

He was never planning to run away anyway.

He just wanted to take the opportunity to squeeze out more benefits.

“Fine.

A world engine like that can be repaired.” Marcus spoke reluctantly.

“Send people to collect the wreckage.

You’ll know the result in three minutes.”

“No problem!”

After hanging up,

Marcus estimated the timing and took out the black Monolith again, reopening the portal with high-speed vibrations.

Zod walked out.

His face carried both excitement and concern.

Suddenly!

A cloud of black mist flew out of the portal and rushed toward Zod.

“Buzz…”

Zod instantly burned the black mist into ashes with his heat vision.

Marcus blinked.

Could that thing have been…

Hive?

Hopefully the old HYDRA members wouldn’t freak out over this.

“It’s too small over there.” Zod frowned.

“Flying around that planet once isn’t even enough for me to warm up.”

“So the location is good, right?” Marcus asked back.

Zod fell silent.

That environment…

For humans, it was terrible.

But for Kryptonians, it was practically paradise.

After only a few minutes there,

Zod already felt several times stronger.

He had even awakened a bio-electric aura and gained the ability to fly.

If they stayed in that environment long term…

“Looks like you’re satisfied.” Marcus nodded.

“If the planet isn’t large enough, just capture nearby planets and expand it yourselves.

You’ve already got the world engine anyway.

It’ll just take extra work.”

Zod was speechless.

How did this alien know more about Kryptonian technology than he did?

Speaking of that…

Zod looked toward North America, and his eyes slowly widened!

What happened to the massive world engine?

He immediately opened the combat channel and learned that the world engine had been destroyed.

His anger shot upward instantly, like a volcano about to erupt…

“Buzz…”

The time-stop field expanded again.

This time, Zod retreated over a hundred meters away, but he still couldn’t escape.

“Calm down and listen to me first.” Marcus said slowly.

“You…”

“You destroyed the world engine, what else is there to talk about?” Zod roared furiously.

“Krypton and Earth will never coexist…”

Marcus closed Zod’s mouth again and picked at his ear impatiently.

“You genetically engineered people from the Codex really do have personality issues.” Marcus complained.

“It’s just broken.

Just repair it.”

Zod still looked furious and clearly didn’t believe him.

Did he think this was some kind of toy?

Repair it just because he said so?

That was the highest achievement of Kryptonian technology!

Marcus didn’t waste words.

He took out his phone, threw it onto the ground, and crushed it under his foot.

Then he lifted the pile of scraps with Psychokinesis and activated the Horse Talisman.

The shattered pieces instantly restored themselves into a complete phone.

Marcus held it up in front of Zod.

“I’m not from Earth.

I come from a civilization far more advanced than Krypton.”

“Don’t judge my abilities using your limited understanding.”

The time-stop field disappeared.

Zod was no longer furious.

He took the phone and checked it repeatedly.

Only after confirming it was completely repaired did he stop worrying.

Then he crushed the phone again with both hands and raised the wreckage toward Marcus.

“If you can repair it again…”

Before he could finish speaking,

Marcus had already restored the phone with the Horse Talisman.

He had to admit that he had spoken too confidently earlier.

After calming down,

His brain finally started analyzing the current situation.

One world engine had already been destroyed, and Marcus completely overpowered him.

The three thousand Kryptonian warriors,

While capable of causing huge chaos, were nowhere near enough to destroy the planet.

It seemed…

Zod had no other choice.

“I understand.” Zod nodded.

“Since this is a deal, you’re offering us a planet.

What do you want in return?”

“It’s simple.

All Kryptonian technology.” Marcus smiled.

That wasn’t even asking for a huge price anymore.

It was straight-up robbery.

But Zod didn’t reject it immediately.

If he agreed,

Krypton would only lose its technological advantage, but their civilization would still survive and continue developing.

But if he refused…

Krypton would disappear forever.

As for Kara and Clark?

Traitors didn’t deserve to call themselves Kryptonians.

“I understand.” Zod said deeply.

“I agree to the deal.

But all technology will only be handed over after Krypton is rebuilt.”

“Fine.

Sooner or later makes no difference to me.” Marcus nodded.

“Now call off your people.”

“Alright.”

Zod opened the combat channel and spoke sharply in Kryptonian:

“All warriors regroup immediately.

Unless your lives are directly threatened, no one is allowed to attack!”

Marcus understood everything clearly.

This was another benefit provided by the system.

He could communicate with any intelligent race without barriers.

At the same time,

The Kryptonians all over Earth stopped their attacks and quickly regrouped with nearby allies.

Among them,

Quite a few superheroes who had nearly died escaped by sheer luck.

For example…

Tony, whose reactor had almost been crushed apart.

Homelander, whose arms and legs were broken.

Barry, who had completely exhausted himself.

And more…

Even heroes like the Hulk, who couldn’t control themselves once enraged, were still chasing after the Kryptonians.

But the Kryptonians only dodged and never fought back.

The sudden change caught everyone completely off guard.

Inside the combat channel,

Fury announced:

“The war is temporarily over.

Do not continue attacking the Kryptonians.

Prioritize rescuing civilians and treating the wounded.”

“The details will be announced later.”

“Medical teams are already on the way to everyone who’s injured.”

“And finally…”

“You are Earth’s heroes.

Thank you for your efforts.”

Many superheroes were covered in wounds and bruises, their exhausted faces filled with confusion.

The war was…

Over?

Although the battle had only lasted a few hours, the intensity was unbelievable.

Logan, with his healing factor, was basically running around naked at this point.

Every part of his body,

Had been completely regenerated during the fight.

Not a single cell left was from before the battle.

When he suddenly heard the war was over, he collapsed onto the ground and didn’t even want to move a finger.

He was so damn tired!

He had lost count of how many times his head had exploded or how many times his heart had been pierced.

He had literally fought his way through by dying repeatedly.

The other superheroes had gone through similar experiences.

Only…
