When Phil Coulson caught up to him, he found that Marcus hadn’t gone far.
He was just about to speak…
“Let’s go.
There’s still one more person to save, right?” Marcus said.
Phil Coulson quickly nodded.
“It’s at a S.H.I.E.L.D.
branch in Brooklyn.
We can take my car and…”
“Too slow.
I’ll fly us there.”
Using Psychokinesis, Marcus grabbed Coulson, smashed through the wall beside him, restored it instantly, and flew off.
The corner of Coulson’s mouth twitched.
He honestly couldn’t tell whether Marcus was being considerate or not.
Following Coulson’s directions,
They soon arrived at the destination, a S.H.I.E.L.D.
branch.
Steve Rogers had been placed inside a container-like room, and the surroundings were decorated warmly.
“After all, he’s been asleep for seventy years.
We figured he’d need time to adjust,” Coulson explained.
“I’m not interested in that.
We can treat him now, right?”
“Everything’s ready.
You can begin anytime…”
“Alright.”
Coulson silently shut up.
Aside from the outrageous fees, Marcus really was efficient.
Just as Coulson was about to ask everyone to evacuate first,
Rogers’ eyelids twitched, and he slowly opened his eyes.
Seeing Marcus and Coulson in their strange modern clothes, Rogers instantly became alert.
“Who are you?
HYDRA?
Where am I?”
Marcus couldn’t even be bothered responding and turned to leave…
Then Rogers suddenly attacked!
He charged straight at Marcus with a shoulder tackle since Marcus was closest to the exit.
But…
“Freeze.”
Rogers was instantly frozen in place again, shock filling his eyes.
“He’s in pretty good shape.
He can stay like that for half an hour,” Marcus said casually.
“That’s more than enough time for you guys to handle things.”
“Ah…
right…”
“I’m leaving.”
Marcus turned and walked away, leaving Coulson with a bitter expression.
Easy for you to say.
You’re leaving all the cleanup to me!
After walking outside,
Marcus was still thinking about what to do next.
A figure suddenly descended from the sky and landed on the street.
After standing up,
Her cold expression came into view.
It was the female Kryptonian who fought evenly against Clark during the battle.
“Huh?
Why are you here?” Marcus asked curiously.
“Didn’t all the Kryptonians leave already?”
“General Zod ordered me to stay behind and complete the deal.”
“Oh?
He finished rebuilding over there already?”
“Yes.”
“Where’s the information?
Hand it over.”
“All of Krypton’s scientific knowledge is stored in my mind.”
“And…”
“General Zod heard that you like powerful women, so he sent me here.”
“My name is Faora.
From now on, I’ll serve you ”
Marcus: “…”
What the hell…
Just walking down the street and a w.ife gets delivered to your d00r?
Zod, you really…
You understand me way too well.
Faora had looks, strength, and the personality of a military officer.
Aside from being a little short-legged, she was basically an upgraded version of Maria Hill.
Who could say no to that?
“Let’s go.
We’re heading home to get married!”
Marcus waved at Faora, then turned around and walked back into the S.H.I.E.L.D.
branch.
Right as he entered, he ran into Rogers, who was charging around trying to break out.
“Seriously?
You’re still causing trouble?”
Marcus was just about to make a move…
When Faora flashed forward and blocked him.
With a casual kick, she sent Rogers flying into the wall.
The nearby S.H.I.E.L.D.
agents rushed over to restrain him, only to discover he had already passed out.
That made Marcus even more satisfied.
A capable wife who could fight and work?
Perfect.
After telling Coulson to arrange her registration,
Marcus and Faora headed toward the agents dormitory area, found an empty room, and went inside.
That night,
Part of the entire S.H.I.E.L.D.
branch shook nonstop until noon the next day.
Inside the room,
Marcus casually used the Horse Talislman to smooth out her exhausted expression.
“Damn.
A girl who’s been fighting on battlefields all year really is something else,” Marcus said happily.
“And she’s still vir.gin too.
Zod really did a good job this time.”
Then he looked at the system notification.
He got all of Krypton’s technology, plus a wife this crazy.
Just how insane would the reward be?
“Holy shit!!!”
Marcus’s eyes widened.
This reward…
Wasn’t it way too broken?
[Congratulations to the host for obtaining “Complete Kryptonian Technology”, greatly strengthening the family’s technological foundation.
Reward acquired: “Vector Control”;]
Name: [Vector Control];
Rank: [S];
Description: This Ability allows the user to freely manipulate vectors that come into contact with the body’s surface, including light, electromagnetic fields, and more;
Tagline: The lever to move the universe has been given to you.
The question is, can you use it?;
[Congratulations to the host for marrying “Faora”.
The combat power of the women in the family has greatly increased!
Reward acquired: “Superman Bloodline”;]
Name: [Superman Bloodline];
Rank: [B];
Description: By absorbing solar energy, the user can gain abilities but not limited to super strength, super speed, heat vision, and more, becoming a Superman!;
Tagline: Superman blood, not Kryptonian blood!;
This time there wasn’t a fusion reward, but two separate rewards?
And both were insane jackpots!
[Vector Control] was obviously broken!
As long as his brain’s processing power could keep up, all attacks against him would become useless and could even be reflected back at the enemy!
And conveniently enough…
[Superman Bloodline] came with a super brain!
With a thought,
Marcus reflected light, causing the surface of his body to become mirror-like and reflect the surrounding scenery.
After getting used to it,
Marcus began manipulating the light itself, bending it around his body and projecting it outward from the opposite side.
His entire body instantly disappeared.
It achieved the same effect as the Snake Talisman.
There were still plenty of uses for the Ability that he needed to explore.
But…
“System, why is the Superman Bloodline only ranked B?”
[The host obtained the “Superman Bloodline” in its B-rank state.
The bloodline level can be upgraded through future rewards!]
That made more sense.
Even the current Clark definitely wasn’t only B-rank.
Not to mention…
“System, putting aside weird versions like Thought Robot Superman, is there a chance to evolve into Golden Superman (Superman Prime) in the future?”
[Yes!]
Nice!
What level was Golden Superman?
That was a being capable of creating matter from nothing and destroying universes barehanded!
Marcus was extremely satisfied.
He casually opened the system panel for another look.
[Family System!]
Host: Marcus;
Rating: [B+]
Rewards: A-rank “Twelve Talismans”, A-rank “Gate of Babylon”, D-rank “Strength Enhancement Serum”, A-rank “Word Spirit”, S-rank “Vector Control”, B-rank “Superman Bloodline”;
Members: [Darcy Lewis], [Sharon Carter], [Faora];
“Just as I thought!”
“My physical growth was too slow before, but now it’ll improve once my rank increases.”
He then opened Faora’s panel.
Wife: Faora;
Rating: [B-]
Abilities: “Kryptonian Scientist”, “Kryptonian Technology Encyclopedia”;
Oh?
Faora actually had a scientist gene?
Marcus definitely hadn’t expected that.
That explained it.
Back during the fight with Clark,
Clark had definitely been holding back.
Moving Faora’s arm off himself, Marcus got up and took a shower as usual.
After leaving the agents’ lounge,
Natasha was standing by the door again like always.
“You’re here,” Marcus said casually.
“Where are Darcy and the others?”
“They’re training in the gym downstairs.”
Natasha continued her report.
“Your new residence is currently under construction and should be finished in about half a month.”
“The location is on the border of New York State, only fifty kilometers from Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters in New Jersey.”
“Tony Stark’s latest armor, the Mark 6, has already been delivered to the branch by Phil Coulson.”
“And also…”
