AN: Won't be able to post at the usual time tomorrow, so chapter now instead! The next chapter is from a different POV, so next time I'll prepare two chapters to post at once since they go together. Also, thank you to whoever gave this a rating.
Just found out it doesn't split the paragraphs properly despite it looking fine in the editor. I'm adding these lines for now, unless someone knows the solution.
Hope you enjoy!
"Date? What do you mean?"
We're in an empty class room, practice for both of us have just ended. Initially when he wanted to drag me off I thought he wanted some action. Though I wasn't in the mood I had planned to agree as it would only be fair. Now I really wish he had just wanted some service.
"You know, go somewhere, the two of us, Saturday next week," he breaks eye contact and looks down awkwardly.
"Why?"
"It's, uh, it's what couples do, right?"
"We're not a couple though," I point out.
"We could be, if you, uh, wanted. Wanted to go on a date I mean."
I let out a sigh, drop my bags, and sit down on a desk.
"Listen, you're a great guy, Noburo, but I thought I was very clear. I've never tried to hold your hand in public, I've never even hinted at us going out on a date, and I've never asked you to be more serious about me," I cross my arms.
He fidgets nervously as I scrutinize him.
"R-right, yeah, of course, but I could be more serious, if you wanted? That's what the date is for."
"Why are you doing this?"
"I, I just thought," he went quiet.
"Noburo, what we had was fun, and now you're ruining it," I let out a sigh again, pick up my bags, and walk out the door, "later."
Honestly, I'm not sure what got into him. He's a teenage boy, his primary concern regarding me should be 'that thing she does with her mouth'. As I said to him, he doesn't have to be serious about me for that to continue, it's even a little weird that he pulled me aside and didn't ask for it. Could it be that he actually wants to have a deeper relationship with me?
The rest of the day is spent in deep thought as I go over everything. Perhaps I was a bit harsh?
Thursday at lunch I drag Jun to the deserted roof. He senses I'm in a mood and just lets me drag him along.
Satisfied we are entirely alone I sit down and start angrily eating my lunch. After a few minutes Jun finally caves in.
"So, are you going to tell me what has you on the warpath, or should I just seek cover?"
I glare at him.
"Noburo asked me out on a date next week."
"Really? That's great news," he smiles happily, then takes a moment to actually think things through, and it's soon replaced by a frown, "right, not good news. So what happened?"
I tell him what happened word for word, or at least close enough, and given how he winces it seems he agrees with my assessment.
"So I was a bit of a bitch?"
"Juuust a little bit, a smidgen," at my flat stare he continues, "okay, a bit more than a bit probably."
I sigh and look down on the floor. Noburo probably does want more than just the occasional hookup, but I am in no state to actually give that. Still, considering his perhaps less than entirely lustful feelings about me, the way I turned him down was perhaps a bit much. It's not that I dislike him or anything.
"Why don't you just go on a date with him?" he holds his hands up defensively as my glare renews, "just as an excuse to talk to him. Try to clear things up. There is nothing that says you have to go on another date with him."
"That's a thing? Go on a date with him just to dump him even more? Seems even worse."
"Sure, if you go to him with stars in your eyes and tell him that of course you want to go on a date with him," he points with his chopsticks for emphasis, "say you'll go on a date with him as friends so you can talk properly."
I take a few moments to think.
"You know what, that might just work," I concede, "look at you becoming an expert after one date," he doesn't respond, merely giving me a rude gesture.
Perhaps this is all a good thing as it serves as an excuse to sit down and talk about all our issues, even those I didn't know how to talk about. Truthfully I had feared something like this could happen.
"I just don't get why he even asked me out in the first place."
Even if I accept that he is perhaps interested in me, there's a difference between that and actually asking someone out. What changed?
"To be fair, you have given him some mixed signals," Jun defends Noburo.
"How so?"
"If someone kept seeking me out to, you know, get it on, I'd assume she could be interested in more."
"That's not a mixed signal. It's an entirely clear signal that I just want some fun, since I never tried for anything more," I retort hotly.
"Hey, don't bite my head off, just giving you an idea on where he got the idea."
"You're right. Sorry, Jun. And thank you."
Jun, thankfully, can sense that I'm not in the right head space, so the rest of the break is spent mostly quietly.
After practice I manage to track down Noburo and drag him off. I settle for behind the gym however, as that is somewhat good enough. He seems nervous as I manhandle him.
"On reflection, maybe I was a little harsh last time we spoke," which is as close to an apology as he'll get, "if you still want to, we can go on that date next week."
God, why do I feel so awkward when I say that? Teenage hormones, I'm blaming those. Sadly, slut brain is still on vacation, else I'd blame her.
"Wait, really?" he seems cautiously optimistic, "why did you change your mind?"
"Don't read more into it than there is. It's just as friends, and so we can sit down and have a proper conversation. We should probably have had a talk a while back," I admit with a soft sigh.
"Sure, that sounds great," he smiles widely.
I don't get why he seems so happy. We just agreed that we would only go as friends. Hopefully it's not a sign that another headache is coming.
"We'll figure out the details over text. Later," I grab my bags and make my exit.
Jun is over the moon that I'm having a date. I hit him.
Strangely as the days pass I get more and more nervous. I don't get why, but I suspect it's because I've never been on a date before.
Next week on Saturday, the day of our date, I'm feeling weird. Slut brain is waking up and are making lewd suggestions, which oddly enough does help me as it distracts me from the fact that I might end up having a disastrous conversation later.
It's a little sad that I can't spend my Saturday being very lazy. Sure, it's just a date as friends, but I still have to doll myself up properly.
It's rather warm, so I pull out a light blue, sleeved sundress first. White choker? Chokers are always good. Bows for my hair, I choose pink. Pink thong and bra? I idly wonder, mentally browsing my collection for a good set.
I take a few moments to consider the look. Pink bows don't work, so I try yellow, but it still seems off. I reluctantly remove the choker, but it still doesn't look good. I take a minute to think about the direction I want to go in. I want lighter colors, since it is more fitting for summer, but for some reason I can't make this dress work.
Right, this dress is banished. Darker colors are out, that time I went out with Jun in black clothes was already too warm. I idly finger my white choker. Let's try white.
I pick out a white sundress without sleeves this time. It doesn't work with the choker, so I resolve to give up on it, with great sadness.
Maybe let my hair run free? I test out a white ribbon and a pony tail, but I don't like it, so free hair is the winner for now. My neck does look good bare in this dress. I run a few fingers along my neck idly, as I look into the mirror with a considering look on my face. I rummage around and find a sunhat with a baby blue ribbon tied to it and put it on.
I pose in the mirror, flick my hair over my shoulder. I feel satisfied with the look. I try the choker again, but it doesn't work, and I finally give up on making it work.
I take everything off, then go to my underwear collection. I quickly settle on my selection: A white g-string and a white cupless bra. I take a few moments to pose in just my underwear, and smile at just how great I look. My breasts are truly perky and great, and the bra gives them that bit of extra seductive jiggle.
Revealing underwear is a compromise I've reached with slut brain long ago. At first it was a little awkward, but I quickly grew to like it because of how good I look in it. The only downside left is that it isn't as comfortable as other women's underwear, but that is a sacrifice I'm willing to make. At this point I'm so used to it that I barely even notice.
I put on my dress, and then I rummage through my closet for shoes.
After I hoarded too many shoes most of mine got banished upstairs, leaving only my running shoes, everyday shoes, and a pair of sandals downstairs. It's a bit of a hassle having to carry them around, but for occasions such as this it's priceless. Boots are out, since I'm choosing the summer look because of how warm it is.
I try out several pairs before I settle on a pair of white sandals with a slight heel, then slip them on and pose again. Still great, so I put on the hat and try again.
I am satisfied enough with my look. I go to my jewelry box and pick up a silver necklace with a heart pendant. Silver jewelry looks great with almost anything, and as I check myself out I am proven right. Perhaps a bit much cleavage, but it isn't anything egregious, so I settle happily on this look.
I consider rings for a little, and then slip on a simple silver band.
A white handbag is found, and I put on a little bit of makeup, then a final check.
And I look fantastic. I smile widely, a smile my reflection returns.
Yes, you look ready to get pinned down.
Sure, whatever. Really, coming from slut brain that is about as much of a compliment as I can expect. It does raise the question of my expectations.
I need to perform at my best in the upcoming tournament, which means I need to get some action to properly focus. I could try to find someone else, but that would leave me very pressed for time, and I don't want to. Ideally, the conversation goes well.
However I try to turn it in my head I don't see how it can go poorly. Though he might have developed an interest, it's not like Noburo is in love with me or anything, and it's not like he's in love with someone else. We're both busy people, so why not just have some casual fun?
I try to put together a plan for how the day is going to go. We're meeting at one, then we'll do some date stuff for two hours, so at three we'll find a nice place to sit down, we'll have a conversation that absolutely goes well, and then. A love hotel? I've never gone to one before, but I'm curious.
It is the obvious solution. It would be nice to have a place where we can take our time and not have to worry about being discovered. Maybe I can ask him to return the favor? I've been curious about how it feels to have someone perform oral sex on me. I feel a thrum of excitement at the thought.
Either way, I'll be back before dinner.
I double check that my handbag has everything I need, slip off my sandals, pick them up and head downstairs.
"I'm heading out, but I'll be back in time for dinner!" I call out.
"Have fun!"
"Don't get in trouble!"
"I will!"
My parents don't know I'm going on a date. I haven't told them since they will be insufferable. Technically I have not lied to them; it's their own fault for assuming I'm just going to see Jun.
I put on my sandals and close the door behind me.
