Anduda starts to stir, groaning a little as they shift and start to wake up.
"Hey um, Camaella?" She asks.
"Yeah?" I ask, looking down at her.
"You can let go of me now..."
"I don't wanna." I am not fully done with your armor anyway... I am also really glad that Leo has a desk that is considered a crafting station...
"I am a little sore from the nap... please?" She looks at me with puppy eyes. Shit...
"Fine..." I reluctantly release her. I was having fun holding you... oh well.
She sits up and stretches out, her tail twitching a little as she lets out a sigh. "How long was I asleep?"
"Only 20 minutes or so." I sit up, the menu moving in front of me. Neat.
"Okay... Did you rub my horns without me noticing?" She looks at me judgingly.
"No." I continue messing with the 'cool' set of armor, I already made the dress for her.
"What are you looking at?" She asks.
"Oh, I am making your armor."
"No frilly stuff!" She says quickly.
"I won't, really, you need to trust me." I get you don't trust me but damn, I am giving you two anyway, though you don't know that yet.
"Okay..."
"I am almost done, just need to make sure the protections are alright and that it won't be uncomfortable." I have a few armor sets that I bet do not feel good to wear, too bad they look really good.
Roana walks over, "I never thought that you would be a crafter."
I look over to her, "I just really liked the armor system," I feel my face heat up, "I also liked to dress up my character in nice looking clothing..." I look to the side.
"Why do you seem so embarrassed about that?" She asks.
"Cause I'm a guy? Is that not weird for a guy to do that?"
"I don't think so personally, I don't see why you wouldn't want your own character to look nice, it's not like gender matters."
I... guess yeah... I don't know why I felt so worried about it... I never thought that anyone else was weird for making their characters look nice, so I don't know why I thought that people would find me weird...
"You're overthinking again." Melina says, startling me.
"Goddamn it Melina, do you have to point it out..?"
"Stop overthinking and I'll stop pointing it out."
"Damnit..." How am I supposed to do that...
"It's your character, it's not a big deal." She shrugs, "I bet you look good in all of the armor you have made, the armor that I have seen so far looks good." I feel my face heat up even more.
"I was going to be looking at my character most of the time anyway..."
"Yeah? I don't know why you seem so worried about it."
"I just... find it embarrassing... I don't know why..." I wrap my arms around myself.
"Just get your mind off of it, have you finished Anduda's armor?" Melina asks.
"No... not yet, I still need to do some adjustments..." I look up to the menu still in front of me, putting my hands into my lap. What is going on with me...
I finish up Anduda's armor, a silver metal with black trim, the green cloth underclothes peaking through the layers of plate. Some silver chainmail underneath that falls about halfway down their thighs. Their legs covered by extra padding and plates, with layered, plated boots. Their arms covered in light armor to allow for mostly unrestricted movement. I even made it tie her hair back into a small ponytail, the hairpiece itself actually boosting summon damage and overall magic power.
"Alright, I'm going to send it to you now." I say, turning to her.
"Why... Why is there 2?" She asks, pulling away from me slightly.
"One is the armor, it's the one with higher physical defense. The other one is some casual wear, I'll make you a couple other pieces later that you can mix and match like actual clothing, just tell me what style you want." I should make an actual set of dresses for her hehe...
"Alright, thank you..." She looks at me suspiciously. Fuck, was my lie not very convincing?
"Why don't you go ahead and try them on?" Melina asks, An assist from the sidelines! "It would be better to find out if something is wrong now rather than right before combat, or possible in combat."
"True..." She says, giving me a side eye. Stop being a little shit...
She hops off the bed and scrolls through her inventory, equipping the armor first. She instantly starts to look frantically around at herself, before letting out a sigh, then pulling up the chainmail from around her legs.
"Does it have to look like a skirt?" She asks, her face slightly flushed.
"You know that's actually on armor for both genders right? Armor is supposed to protect you first, then the looks are second." I say, "Imagine if you didn't have that, your hips would be mostly exposed to stabbing." She lifts it up, seeing that her hip joints are mostly cloth without the mail.
"Oh..."
"Mhm, but I did try to make it look nice too."
"Did you have to make it do this to my hair?" She points up at the ponytail.
"I thought it would look nice with the armor." I shrug, "It will also help with combat so your hair isn't all over the place, plus the hairpiece itself helps with your magic."
"I feel like you did a little too much though..." She looks down at her breasts, her face becoming redder.
"That was actually the game doing that... The game's system? I don't really know what to call it, but it will fit to your body shape, I only get to see a general, mannequin like display of the armor while I am creating it. The only setting I can change, and that matters to the armor, is the height of the character and the gender." I walk over to the table, which now has another platter of food on it, picking up a small piece of bread and some cheese.
I turn around and take a bit of the bread. She opens up her menu again and equips the dress, the gothic black style with some extra flowy bits here and there for some flair, with a large skirt, some gothic boots to fit as well. Her face instantly goes red as she looks down stammering.
"Whawhawhawha?! What the fuck!?" I instantly choke on the bread as I almost bust out laughing, my eyes tearing up as I try to catch my breath.
She switches back to the other armor quickly, the other people in the room chuckling as she runs over to me and starts punching me. "You told me you wouldn't!" She cries out.
I cough a few more times, steadying my breath and letting out a small laugh. "I told you I wouldn't for the armor, I said nothing about giving you another outfit that was different." I wanted to see what the more angelic look of your character looked like in goth, worth choking on the bread for that.
Melina walks over with a cup of water for me. "Thanks."
"I'm not taking the other things you are making! Take this back!" She tries to send it back to me, which I promptly decline.
"Sell it then." I say slyly. "Are you willing to buy whatever is on the market?" I tilt my head.
"If it's better than this!"
"Oh!?" I cry out like I am hurt by her words. "How come my cute little sister wont wear the gift I so heartfully made for her!?" I feign crying, some tears filling my eyes.
"ehr... um..." She pushes out, pulling back from me.
"I'm fucking with you." I say, wiping my eyes. "I really don't care if you wear it or not, I just wanted to see you in a dress." It might not be his body, but I know he is the one in there.
"You are a little too good at fake crying..." Roana says.
"Asshole... It's only fair that you put on something like that now..." She looks at me hurt. Well... What I said earlier kind of backfired... I've wanted to see what the other clothes I have look like in person though...
"Only if you wear it again, and for more than 5 seconds this time." I smirk. There is not a chance in hell you are-
"Mmmm... Fine!" Huh!? She re-equips it, instantly shrinking in on herself. I get myself out of my daze, looking over her once. "Is that enough?" She asks.
"Um... Yeah, I didn't really expect you to wear it again..." I say, scratching my cheek.
She switches back to her starter gear, her face red as can be. "Now it's your turn..." She says, "It has to be a dress of some sort..." She quickly adds, pointing at me.
"Fine..." I guess I have to now...
I open up my menu, flipping over to my armors and scrolling through the ones I know are dress like, or just straight up dresses. I try to find one I want to see, keeping a few in mind just in case I want to see them later.
"Hurry up..." Anduda says.
"You know how much I have to scroll through... right? Plus, I am trying to decide which one I want to try."
"After a few thousand hours, it doesn't surprise me that you would have a lot of different armor." Melina says, "How much do you actually have?"
"Uhm... Do I have to answer?"
"No? I was just curious."
"Something like 2000..." It's actually over 3000... But some of it isn't what I have made or it's event gear, and some of it are just pieces of clothing, not full outfits...
"Holy shit..."
It's not that bad... is it?
I finally find a outfit that I want to see in person, it is one that I would wear whenever I was randomly walking around in town sometimes or the occasional time I would just hang out in random public spaces. A dark blue sleeveless dress with the stomach and the back exposed, falling down to my ankles with a dark gold trim appears on me. Some of my hair braided and pinned behind my head with a silver hairpiece, the rest falling free. Honestly the worst part of the outfit is the heels it has... I feel so exposed now...
"This is a lot more embarrassing to wear than I thought it would be..." I mumble, feeling my face heat up as I wrap my arms around myself.
"Looks good." Reggie gives me a double thumbs up. I am not doing this to show off... I didn't even want to wear something like this in the first place...
"Alright I've had enough of this..." I switch back into my casual clothes, I look up to find Leo staring at me, he quickly looks away. Really? You of all people?
"Anyway..." Leo says, clearing his throat. "I talked with some people, and they are on their way, most of them should be here by tomorrow as they were decently close. A decent amount of them are lower leveled and some of them are pretty much new like Anduda." He sits down at his desk. "I am thinking about having the people here help the others, are you all alright with that? Of course, if you don't want to, you don't have to. We will be using a low level field in the area."
I would rather not... The new wolf walks over, the black bone looking very weird in this light. Like a mix of obsidian and black pearl. I scratch the top of its head, the little wolf leaning into it.
"Camaella, are you fine with overseeing the mages? You'll just have to be there if they have any questions."
"I... don't really think I'll be able to do much."
"You seemed to help out Inglis, Nabe, and Anduda just fine when they needed help." God damn it...
"I... Fine..." I let out a sigh. I don't want to do this...
