"But what of my sword. How did you defend against it?" Haruto spoke up, interrupting Ohta’s thoughts.
Ohta turned to him. "Hmmm... we’ll, that’s a secret." He smiled.
"A secret?" Haruto raised a brow.
Ohta nodded.
It was not everything he could tell Haruto. Sometimes, too much information may end up damaging a person’s ability to grow more than it may help.
Besides, it was not like Ohta could tell him that it was a function of his aura.
Since the king aura placed pressure on the room as the room on him, he easily sensed a gap in the formation of Haruto’s mana.
Considering the young Nobunaga clan protege was focused on executing the technique, he did not protect his body with mana as well as certain parts of his sword.
This was the weak point Ohta explored.
RING...
The school bell rang.
"Class is starting." Ohta threw Haruto’s sword back to him.
Then he turned and proceeded towards class.
"Oh, before I forget." Ohta turned about. "Do not perform Harakiri just because I disarmed you of your weapon."
Then he hurried along.
Miss Carol and another instructor, a big burly man, materialized from a corner, just a distance away from the fight.
"To think he did that without mana." The burly instructor nodded. Impressed.
"I told you, you would like him." Miss Carol added. "So what will it be? Are you interested in taking him as your apprentice?"
....
As Ohta entered class, he heard tge alert from his pin.
>>Congratulations, you have been awarded 10 yellow points for cleverly out smarting your bullies<<
Of course, points were gifted for any form of win. Even though Ohta had deceived his way into that win, a win was still a win.
He was expecting that he would be awarded points for winning in his battle against Haruto, but it seemed that would not be the case.
Maybe it was because that had not been an official Life and Death march.
All together he now had 70 yellow points.
It sounded good to him.
With what he had seen so far, the hierarchy in colors was greatly respected.
So respected that it might even go beyond raw power.
Ohta stepped into class.
The students had been talking and making fun.
But on seeing him, they all froze.
’What’s with the attention? Do I have sand on my face or something?’
He took a deep breathe, and regardless of the stares, went to his seat.
The stares felt like they would dig into his skin.
Of course came the whispers. Most of it was about Ohta admitting that he was a demonic cult worshipper.
"He should be taken by the enforcers and punished."
"What is the student council doing. They should have processed his expulsion by now."
"I heard his skin is like that because he drinks so much blood in the demonic cult."
"Yes, I heard that too. Such a vile being."
"Honestly, if my skin can glow like that. I won’t mind drinking blood too."
The lady response surprised Ohta and he could not help but turn in the direction of the voice.
An asian. A girl. She had one side of her head shaved, and the rest forming a bangs on one side of her face. A style that should have made most girls her age afraid of showing their face in public.
But even a Ohta had to admit that she rocked it with so much confidence.
And the several piercings on her body added a different layer of charm to her.
She winked at him, eyes giving a quick glow.
Ohta looked away.
His instincts told him one word.
Trouble.
Ohta allowed all the remaining talk over his head. "Infamous." He thought out loud.
For a mafia boss, it was not new.
’And here I was thinking I’ll have an easy life.’
Ohta sat. He sighed wildly, melting into his desk.
He had barely gotten a few seconds of rest when a figure waved at him.
Timi.
The same one he had met yesterday, and had pointed the barrel of a gun at his face without a second thought.
Ohta did not know whether to hold it back or not.
Timi raised what appeared to be the mask of a human face. It had such incredible detail that one could have easily guessed that he peeled it from a corpse.
He seemed really proud of it. Like he was showing it off to Ohta.
Ohta wanted to say something, but then he remembered what happened.
Instead, Ohta rolled his eyes at him.
This made Timi’s smile fault.
Suddenly Ohta felt the dagger stares on his back disappear.
Someone had entered the class.
"Oh my god, it’s Haruto."
"Haruto over here."
"Haruto look at me."
"Haruto have you eaten today? I made a bento just for you."
"Haruto, I brought a special mana potion for your head injury. My mother says it heals wounds instantly."
The way the girls in class threw themselves in service to Haruto shocked Ohta.
But then something even more shocking happened.
Haruto went to his seat.
Then he pulled the chair and the table against the ground.
It made a grinding irritating noise. However, even though people were pissed by this, no one stopped him.
He walked over, and kicked Sofia’s desk and table from Ohta’s side.
He placed his there.
Haruto sat.
The entire class went silent.
And then as if on command, exploded in muttering.
"What is he doing? Is he siding with the demonic cult member?"
"Did the demonic cult member bewitch him or something?"
"Oh no, that demonic cult member has charmed my Haruto." The girl with the bento fell on her knees tears in her eyes. "I have to kill him." She brought out daggers from underneath her skirt.
But her friends held her back by the arm.
"Leave me alone. Let me kill him. I’ll kill him and free my beloved."
Ohta’s eye twitched in annoyance. "Hey, shit face. Can’t you go sit somewhere else?"
"As an heir to the Nobunaga clan, I sit where I wish." He straightened his face, flicking his hair.
"Oh heavens even charmed, he is so dreamy..." the girl trying to cut Ohta fainted mesmerized.
"Settle down class." Miss Carol cat walked into the class.
Even though she wore heels, Ohta noticed that she did not make a sound against the tiled floor.
