“Eve, your boss is really handsome!”

On the road, Wyatt Crawford kept praising Stellan Sutton.

It’s such a pity that such a handsome man got married so young!”

Eve Sherman shook her head helplessly.

She didn’t have the energy to joke with him now, her mind was full of Mrs.

Shaw and Rory Shaw.

It looks like there’s some kind of collaboration between them.

If the Shaws approach the headquarters, what will happen?

Wyatt seemed to sense her worry and lightly patted her shoulder, “Alright, don’t stress about it so much.

Are you really going to give up such a good job and such a handsome boss for the Shaws?

Besides, you’ve already married according to their demands; what’s there to fear?

They probably wouldn’t bother wasting their time.”

“Because, to them, you pose no threat and are of no use now.”

What Wyatt said made some sense, and Eve felt relieved.

She wasn’t after the Shaw inheritance and didn’t have much intersection with them.

She had been persuading Skye Sherman to retire, and soon she would smoothly separate from the Shaws, she really didn’t need to worry.

Back home, she took a shower, carefully hung up her expensive dress, and lay in bed handling emails.

Suddenly, a WeChat message popped up.

“When are you free?

I want to discuss divorce matters with you.”

Eve stared at the message, stunned for a full five seconds.

It turned out that this person who always sent a message and then disappeared was indeed her husband who had been absent for two years!

She looked at the word “divorce,” pondered for a moment, then asked: Have you sorted your affairs?

Where are you?

The other side took a long time to reply with a few words.

“Are you free tomorrow afternoon?

Let’s meet at the marriage registration office where we got our certificate.”

He said it directly, there must be a reason for the divorce.

He hadn’t disturbed her in these two years, and she hadn’t done anything for him.

He just wanted to separate, which seemed perfectly reasonable.

After thinking it over, Eve replied, “I’m free tomorrow afternoon, let’s meet at the registration office then.”

That night, she didn’t sleep well, and the next morning at the company, Stellan Sutton held a meeting about sick leave.

During the break, Eve knocked on his office door.

Stellan was focused on his phone, and upon seeing her, inquired, “Any more schedules?”

Eve pursed her lips, “No more schedules, I wonder if I could take the afternoon off, I have some personal matters to handle.”

Stellan glanced at his wristwatch and nodded, “Go ahead and take care of it, I have some personal matters this afternoon too.”

He was so accommodating, Eve breathed a sigh of relief, “Thank you, President Sutton.”

Stellan responded with a simple “Mm.”

After lunch, Eve headed home to look for her marriage certificate.

After she got married, the Shaws inspected her marriage certificate.

When they saw she couldn’t stir up much trouble, they returned it to her.

She moved twice afterward, during the second move she was at the hospital taking care of her grandmother, and Zoe Sawyer and Wyatt Crawford helped her pack.

She had searched around last night and couldn’t find it, so she gave up to avoid being late for work.

After looking for half an hour without success, she thought losing the marriage certificate wouldn’t hinder the divorce.

Eve carried the bank card that person gave her and headed straight out, taking the subway to the registration office.

She lived close to the registration office, arriving at the station in less than twenty minutes.

Just like when she got married, Eve waited under that big tree.

Perhaps she arrived too early, she waited for quite a while without seeing him.

Only to receive a message from him: “There’s some traffic, sorry.

Could you wait for me a bit?”

Eve quickly replied with three words: “I’ll wait for you.”

After waiting for nearly twenty more minutes, he sent another message: “I’m almost there.”

She put away her phone, looked up, and saw a familiar Cullinan slowly entering her view.

She had driven this car, recognizing at a glance that it was Stellan Sutton’s car.
