“Let that president come out and speak!”
Donovan shouted angrily, hands behind his back, “Does he know he’s done something despicable and doesn’t dare to come out and face us?
Get him out here!”
“Since he won’t come out, we’ll have to deal with you!”
Someone said, rushing forward and pushing Eve Sherman.
In situations like this, once one person starts, others will follow suit.
Eve Sherman instinctively prepared to protect her head.
Just as she had nowhere left to retreat, the crowd suddenly quieted down.
Their gazes all locked towards a spot not far away.
Following their eyes, Eve Sherman looked over and felt a sudden tightness in her chest.
Stellan Sutton had already gotten out of the car without anyone noticing, walking towards them, expressionless, step by step.
He was tall and imposing, and even wearing silver-framed glasses couldn’t hide his strong presence.
For a moment, everyone looked at each other in dismay, asking amongst themselves, “Who is this?”
Donovan scrutinized for a while before pointing at Stellan Sutton, “It’s…
it’s him!
The president of Hess!”
Immediately, they let go of Eve Sherman and rushed towards Stellan Sutton.
“Heartless capitalist!
Do you have the nerve to show up here!”
“Give us an explanation now!
Why are you dismissing us?”
Lucas saw the commotion and broke into a cold sweat, instinctively standing in front of Stellan Sutton, shouting, “This is a decision made by the company’s executives, your protest is useless!”
“Get out of the way!”
Donovan, acting as their representative, directly pushed Lucas aside, his face flushed as he questioned, “Since you’re here, give us an explanation!
Otherwise, we won’t let this go!”
Stellan Sutton glanced at them lightly, seemingly unsurprised by their hostile attitude and not frightened either.
Instead, Eve Sherman and Lucas stood by, their hearts pounding with fear.
“Don’t bully my dad!!”
Someone in the crowd shouted out, and suddenly a tall figure dashed out, wielding a sharp, large pair of scissors, charging directly at Stellan Sutton.
“Watch out, President Sutton!”
Lucas shouted in a panic, and Eve Sherman, almost instinctively, rushed forward, raising her hand to shield Stellan Sutton.
The scissors stabbed into her arm, narrowly grazing past, tearing her shirt open, and blood seeped through the cut, staining her clothes.
“Sherman!”
Stellan Sutton hadn’t expected Eve Sherman to dash out fearlessly, his gaze darkening as he stepped forward to grab the attacker, but Eve Sherman held onto his arm firmly, saying in a low voice, “Please go quickly.
I’m begging you.”
The attacker was someone she had seen a few times before, Donovan’s child.
Since an incident during childhood, he had suffered brain damage and his intelligence had remained at a child’s level, often waiting by the gate for Donovan to finish work.
Somehow, someone must have said something to him, making him so agitated, doing something dangerous.
Donovan was also startled by Eve Sherman’s bloodied arm, pulling his child aside and hitting him in anger.
“What are you doing!
Are you crazy!”
The crowd initially just wanted justice, and now seeing blood, they became indecisive, nervously watching Eve Sherman board the car holding her arm.
“Donovan, this is your child’s mess, it has nothing to do with us.
If they pursue this, we can’t be held responsible!”
As they said this, some, fearing trouble, had already taken off their work uniforms and left in groups.
“How are you?”
Stellan Sutton frowned, looking at Eve Sherman.
She shook her head, signaling for Lucas to drive faster.
“You’re too reckless, Sherman.
Don’t you know President Sutton used to be a martial arts champion?
How dare you get in the way, what if something happened?”
Lucas, usually smiling, couldn’t hold back this time, snapping coldly.
Eve Sherman gritted her teeth in pain, unable to say anything.
Stellan Sutton commanded with a stern face, “Stop speaking.
Go to the hospital first, then report this incident to the police.”
“President Sutton, I can go to the hospital myself.”
Eve Sherman whispered, “Things here have been escalating, and many are watching, preparing to exploit Sterling’s matters.
If they find out about this bloodshed incident, it won’t look good.
I can go alone.”
Stellan Sutton, contrary to his usual gentle demeanor, frowned, “As your boss, I won’t leave you alone at a time like this.”
After speaking, he directly dialed a number.
Three seconds later, the phone connected.
“Wait for me at your hospital.”
Having said that, Stellan Sutton hung up the phone directly.
