After stepping out of Camila’s room with the lingering panic still spreading through me, I shut myself straight into my own bathroom.

I let the cold spray of the shower pour over my entire body, trying hard to think and remember what had actually happened the night before.

I was terrified that in my unconscious state last night, I might have said something inappropriate to Camila.

Worse still, I feared I might have done something strange and crossed a line with her.

Even though I’d found my clothes still fully on my body this morning, the anxiety refused to leave me.

What made it worse was that, deep in my heart, I knew all too well that I harboured an overwhelming hidden desire to kiss and touch that girl.

“Did these lips… did they really kiss her last night?” I muttered under my breath, touching my own lips as I let out a slow exhale.

A dark side of my mind suddenly whispered, provoking my sanity.

I would have preferred to do it while fully conscious.

If it had really happened last night, her lips must have tasted incredibly sweet.

I immediately shook my head hard, cursing my own thoughts for suddenly running so wild.

How could I possibly think of something so disgusting at a time like this!

“Remember, Javier! Camila is your sister, and now you already have a fiancée, Adriana!” I warned myself sternly, trying to push away Camila’s allure, which kept disturbing my defences relentlessly. The source of this chapter is novelping . com.

After spending several minutes under the running water, I still couldn’t recall clearly what I had done in Camila’s room the night before.

My memory was completely hazy from the effects of the alcohol.

All I could do was pray and hope in my heart that I hadn’t made some fatal mistake that would ruin my relationship with her.

Wrapped in nothing but a white towel around my waist, I stepped out of the steam-filled bathroom.

But my steps froze instantly on the floor.

I was utterly shocked to find Adriana already sitting casually on my bed.

“What are you doing in my room, Adriana?!” I snapped sharply.

My jaw tightened, feeling that Adriana’s actions had gone far too brazenly in violating my privacy.

“Why do you have to be so angry, Javi?” Adriana replied, her voice pitched as softly as possible.

She rose from the bed, then stepped slowly toward me.

“I am your fiancée, after all. Besides, we’ll be sharing the same room soon enough once we’re married, won’t we?”

I had no intention of answering her.

My eyes stared flatly at Adriana, who now looked at my bare, broad chest without blinking, seeming captivated by the shape of my body.

Just as she stood in front of me and stretched out her fingers to touch my chest, I swiftly gripped her wrist, holding it suspended in the air before our skin could touch.

“Why?

Am I not even allowed to touch my own future husband’s body now?”

”No.

We aren’t officially married yet,” I answered, cold and final.

Adriana let out a small laugh, the sound of her chuckle dripping with disdain for the principle I held onto.

“Javier, you’re not a child anymore, you know. You’re already thirty-two years old. You clearly know how a couple expresses their passion for each other, don’t you? Especially since we’re already bound by an official engagement. Having intimate relations before marriage isn’t such a great sin these days.”

My jaw tightened further, displeased at hearing her words.

I knew, I knew exactly where this conversation was heading, and Adriana had indeed brought up this taboo subject far too often just to provoke me.

And yet I had made my principle clear from the very beginning of our relationship—no sex before marriage.

But in the middle of this argument, a question suddenly struck the inside of my head so hard it sent chills down my spine.

Was I truly upholding this principle for the sake of honour?

Or… did I simply not want Adriana’s body at all?

Was it only Camila’s body that I had secretly desired all this time, which was why I felt absolutely no urge or desire whatsoever every time Adriana offered herself to me?

“What do you say, Javi? Can’t we just do it once tonight?” Adriana whispered again, leaning her face closer with a gleam full of temptation.

“I’m certain you’ll be completely hooked after experiencing it with me, just once…”
