So he couldn’t even spare time for divorce – he rushed out to accompany Yin Luoxue.

The familiar sting swept through Gu Mian’s heart, hurting so much it nearly numbed her.

During those two years of marriage, she had frequently seen Yin Luoxue flaunting their affection on social media.Full novel: Seduce Her, Addicted in One Night — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Back then, she was conflicted – clearly feeling heartbroken each time she looked, yet unable to resist checking.

But now, she had decided to abandon such self-torture.

Gu Mian moved her fingers and deleted both Li Tingshen and Yin Luoxue from her contacts.

After finishing her bath and just putting on her clothes, her phone suddenly rang.

It was Li Tingshen calling.

Wasn’t he with Yin Luoxue? How did he have time to call her?

Gu Mian hesitated for a moment but still answered, “Ting Shen?”

“You deleted Luoxue from your contacts?”

“Yes, what about it?”

“You have the nerve to ask what about it?” Li Tingshen was furious. “Luoxue wanted to greet you after learning you were released from prison, but found you’d deleted her. She thought you still hated her, and remembering how you pushed her down the stairs, she had an emotional breakdown! Gu Mian, can’t you just behave?”

His accusations and mockery felt like daggers in Gu Mian’s heart. Suppressing the pain, she said, “Ting Shen, deleting her contact is my right.”

“It is your right, but she’s a patient!” Li Tingshen emphasized. “And because of you, she’s confined to a wheelchair. She’s already emotionally sensitive and fragile – shouldn’t you consider her feelings?”

Gu Mian closed her eyes, smiling bitterly. “Since your precious darling is so fragile, I should stay away from her even more, lest she blame me again if she gets hurt somehow.”

“Gu Mian, you…”

Gu Mian directly hung up and blocked Li Tingshen’s number.

After getting dressed and going downstairs, she cooked herself a bowl of noodles, then went directly to the cemetery.

The rain was still drizzling. Gu Mian stood under her umbrella before her grandmother’s tombstone for a very, very long time.

When she returned to Yun Yue Bay, it was already evening. As soon as she entered, she saw Li Tingshen sitting on the living room sofa.

Gu Mian was quite surprised – usually when he went to accompany Yin Luoxue, he would stay the whole day, only returning after coaxing her to sleep.

Gu Mian didn’t want to question his unusual behavior, nor did she acknowledge him, heading straight upstairs.

“Stop.”

The man’s deep, cold voice came from behind.

Gu Mian halted her steps.

The man rose and walked to her, his unfathomable eyes fixed on her face. “Gu Mian, you’ve grown bold – daring to hang up on me and block my number?”

As Gu Mian tried to walk away, the man grabbed her wrist. “I’m talking to you. Did prison make you deaf?”

Gu Mian’s heart was sharply stung. She raised her head to look at him. “Yes, I’ve been to prison, my life is ruined. Aren’t you all satisfied enough yet?”

Li Tingshen noticed her swollen eyes and frowned. “You’ve been crying? You visited Grandma’s grave?”

Gu Mian fought back tears. “I couldn’t keep vigil or see her off when she passed. Do I need your permission to visit her now too?”

Li Tingshen’s eyes darkened. “Gu Mian, insisting you return to prison that day was because I was afraid you’d be too grieved.”

“Afraid I’d be grieved?” Gu Mian laughed directly, her laughter bleak. “You can’t even bother to put effort into lying to me, using such a clumsy excuse?”

She broke free from the man’s grip. “Ting Shen, I’m tired. Let’s get divorced.”

……

Gu Mian returned to the master bedroom’s walk-in closet and took out an old suitcase, beginning to pack her belongings.

She wouldn’t take anything the Li family had given her after marriage, so there wasn’t much to pack.

“Gu Mian, haven’t you caused enough trouble?” A man’s impatient voice came from behind her. “So what if you spent a year in prison? Moreover, I specifically arranged for you not to suffer any hardship there. What more do you want?”

Gu Mian’s hands, which were folding clothes, paused. She turned to face him. “You did arrange it. My meals in prison were different from other inmates—every meal consisted of either pork liver or spinach, blood-nourishing ingredients, because I had to be ready to donate blood to Yin Luoxue at any time.”

Li Tingshen frowned. “So it all comes down to your resentment about Luoxue. Gu Mian, having you donate blood was to save a life. You’re a medical student yourself—you should possess a doctor’s compassion. Besides, I compensated you.”

“A doctor’s compassion?” Gu Mian laughed directly. “Have you ever seen a doctor bleed a patient dry to save them?”

“As for the compensation you mentioned—are you referring to these?”

Gu Mian raised her hand to point at an entire wall of handbags, whose combined value reached at least hundreds of millions—the dream of countless women.

“Buying me a bag after every blood donation, and they’re always the ones Yin Luoxue rejected, right?”

Every bag that ended up in her hands had been chosen by Yin Luoxue first, with Li Tingshen footing the bill.

Yin Luoxue would pick out the ones she liked first, then select a gaudy style from the leftovers for Gu Mian. Although expensive, none were suitable for daily use.

She had never asked for bags, but they all seemed to think that exchanging blood for a bag was a great deal for Gu Mian.

Gu Mian smiled faintly. “I won’t take a single one of these bags with me, because I never intended to sell my blood in the first place.”

Li Tingshen raised his hand to pinch the bridge of his nose.

Since their marriage, Gu Mian had always been docile. She occasionally sulked, but never defied him or spoke to him with such finality.

Li Tingshen grasped her shoulders, his tone softening slightly. “I know you’re in a bad mood after just getting out of prison. Let’s stop this, alright? Let’s go eat—I asked Aunt Yang to prepare your favorite dishes.”

Gu Mian pushed his hands away and picked up her suitcase to leave.

The next moment, her body was suddenly lifted into the air as the man scooped her up horizontally.

Before Gu Mian could resist, she was placed on the soft bed.

The man pressed down over her, easily pinning her hands above her head.

The familiar scent of masculine hormones enveloped her as Li Tingshen leaned down to kiss her ear, his deep voice tinged with a seductive huskiness. “Mrs. Li, don’t be angry anymore, alright? Tonight I’ll keep going until you’re happy, hmm?”

Gu Mian’s heartbeat instantly accelerated wildly!

In the past, when she occasionally got angry, she couldn’t withstand his teasing and would quickly calm down.

Later, perhaps finding it amusing, he would drag her into bed whenever he saw her upset.

His dominance in intimate matters was extreme—every time, Gu Mian would be tormented until she wept and begged for mercy, agreeing to whatever he said.

The man’s breathing grew heavier as he kissed her lips while unbuttoning her blouse.

Gu Mian suddenly came to her senses and struggled desperately to break free from his restraint. “No… I don’t want to…”

“Don’t want to?” Li Tingshen looked up, his desire-filled eyes gazing with amusement at the girl beneath him. “You’re the one saying no now, but soon you’ll be clinging to me, begging for more…”

Gu Mian’s face flushed crimson all the way to her ears, as if blood might drip from them.

The man curved his lips and lowered his head to kiss her neck. “The year you were gone wasn’t easy for me either… I had to work overtime at least three hundred nights just to control myself…”

Outside the floor-to-ceiling window, the night was shrouded in darkness, with only the incessant drizzle continuing to fall, while the temperature in the room kept rising.

After three years of marriage, Li Tingshen had long since memorized every response of Gu Mian’s body, skillfully arousing her with practiced ease.

Gu Mian trembled, her entire body tense. She struggled to maintain her composure and break free, but the man seemed determined to pull her into the depths of passion.

“Gu Mian, give it to me…”
