Qiao Ling pressed down on her shoulder, seized her wrist again, and casually picked up a shard of glass from the floor. “Did your mother teach you that snapping nails is too much effort? If you press a sharp object against the free edge and give it a little lift, the whole nail peels right off.”

As she spoke, the glass shard pressed against the free edge of Xing Xueyu’s index finger lifted upward, instantly peeling back a corner of the nail.
