Camelot pretended not to see the question mark.

After reading the information, his memories returned.

He really was Arthur’s son.

But not Eleanor.

His mother belonged to another branch of the Canham family.

Camelot remembered the servants whispering behind his back.

How the guests at the receptions smiled in his face, and as soon as he turned away, they began to discuss the inheritance.

«If Young Master Camelot doesn’t awaken the gift…»

«Then Adrian can become the heir.»

«After all, he is also the son of a viscount.»

Camelot frowned.

So all this time he had a rival for the right to inherit.

And now everything has become even more interesting.

«By the way.» came Arthur’s voice.

Camelot raised his head.

The Viscount was looking at him.

«Adrian is currently on vacation.

He came to the manor for a couple of months.»

Adrian calmly continued the dinner.

«I decided to take a break from studying a little bit.» added Arthur.

«From studying?» asked Camelot.

Adrian looked at him.

«Magic Academy.»

Camelot raised an eyebrow slightly.

Of course, that’s where he felt the traces of magic from.

This guy had a good reputation, an education, and, apparently, everything necessary to one day take the place of the head of the family.

Arthur continued to say:

«It’s really a pity that we won’t be able to gather the whole family this time.»

Eleanor lowered her gaze.

«Your sister is still on another continent.»

Camelot froze.

Did he have a sister in this new world for him?

A memory flashed through his mind.

Snow-white hair with orange tips.

Light-colored clothes.

And someone’s hand stretched out to him.

But he saw the faces.

The picture appeared as quickly as it appeared.

«My sister.»

Everyone at the table looked at him in unison.

Eleanor smiled cautiously.

«Yes.»

Camelot looked at her.

«What’s her name?»

Eleanor blinked in surprise.

«You really don’t remember anything.»

Camelot didn’t know what to say.

He looked at the void next to him again, where an invisible grimoire opened.

The page was blank.

No name.

No information whatsoever.

Only one line appeared at the very bottom.

[The target cannot be identified at the moment.]

Camelot frowned.

This was the first time the grimoire had behaved like this.

The book knew Arthur.

I knew Adrian.

But she couldn’t identify his own sister yet.

He looked up.

«I…

don’t remember my sister.»

Eleanor sighed softly

«Her name is…»

Arthur stopped her abruptly.

«Not now.»

Eleanor looked at her husband, but did not argue.

Camelot noticed this.

So there was a whole hidden story here.

Something they didn’t want to tell him about yet.

He leaned back in his chair.

It seems that the former Camelot had a lot more family problems than he had time to imagine.

After Arthur’s words, lunch suddenly ended and everyone went about their business.

Camelot was the first to rise from the table.

He left the dining room and headed towards the greenhouse.

On the way, Camelot decided to take a little look at the estate.

There were too many things here that seemed familiar, but also alien.

Tall white windows let in light that shimmered with rainbow colors.

There were dozens of paintings on the walls.

Landscapes.

Portraits.

Still lifes.

Most of them looked ordinary.

But as soon as the guy walked past one of the paintings, he heard a voice.

«Camelot!»

He stopped and slowly turned his head.

The painting depicted a woman in a long white dress with a wreath on her head.

But her face seemed blurry.

«Camelot!»

The voice sounded clearer this time.

He felt a chill run down his spine.

He already realized that the painting was calling him, but so far he did not go to it.

The grimoire with the task appeared again.

[ Main Task: The Shadow That Belongs To The Artist Canham Family.]

He had to deal with the Canham legacy.

But before that, there was something else.

He had a secondary mission to find the murderer of the previous owner of the body in which Camelot was located.

There hasn’t been another death yet.

That was what bothered him the most.

«First the killer, then the painting.»

Camelot sighed.

«Why do I even have the feeling that I’m not in another world, but in some kind of detective story.»

He was about to continue on his way, but suddenly stopped.

«By the way…»

Until now, he had hardly been interested in his own capabilities.

Camelot conjured up a grimoire in his mind.

«Physique three…»

He looked at his thin body.

«It’s kind of a shame.»

There was another line below.

Camelot was interested.

«Blessings.»

He touched the first line.

«You’re kidding me!»

Camelot stared at the grimoire in silence for a few seconds.

«Seriously, aren’t you going to show me anything yet?»

The Grimoire did not respond.

«I don’t even know who it is.»

No reaction to the guy’s words.

«And what does it mean…Coy.»

Camelot has closed the status.

«Fine, I’ll find out later.

»

He was about to walk on when he heard a voice.

This time it was a whisper.

«Camelot…»

The guy looked at the painting.

The woman on it was no longer standing still.

Her head was slightly turned in his direction.

Camelot froze.

He definitely remembered that a second ago she was staring straight ahead.

«Can you hear me?»

Camelot did not reply to the painting.

The girl’s lips barely moved.

«Don’t trust the killer.»

And at that moment, a new inscription appeared on the edge of a new page in the grimoire.

[Secondary Task updated.]
