The eggshell cracked, little by little.

As soon as she finished speaking, the even sound of the little one’s breathing came from her arms. A moment later, he let out a soft murmur in his sleep, his little ears twitching.
A warm feeling spread through Shen Yue as she watched him. The more she looked, the cuter he seemed. She couldn’t resist hugging him and taking a big sniff. He had a sweet, milky scent. ’No wonder mothers find their own cubs more and more pleasing to the eye, loving them more and more the longer they look.’

Shen Yue had wanted to let Dabao sleep a little longer, but an uninvited guest just had to show up and interrupt their mother-son time.
