“Husband, my chest hurts today too.”

“Help me rub it, okay?”

Jiang Wu’s voice was like a little cat’s paw with hooks, scratching at the very center of Qin Lie’s heart.Full novel: Seventies Military Marriage: The Enchantress Tempts the Commander to Break His Vows Every Night — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

What was even more deadly was her action.

She grabbed his large hand and, without any inhibition, pressed it against her softness.

Qin Lie felt as if he wasn’t holding a woman’s body, but something with the texture of pliant rubber.

That astonishing softness transmitted through his palm, violently surging throughout his entire being.

A loud buzz echoed in his head, and all sound, all visuals, disappeared.

Only the incredible soft sensation beneath his palm and the pounding heartbeat like war drums remained.

His Adam’s apple moved involuntarily up and down, swallowing nonexistent saliva.

The beast that had been fiercely imprisoned by his iron will for twenty-six years, in this moment, completely broke its chains.

“Jiang Wu…”

He practically squeezed these two words out from between his teeth, his voice as hoarse as a gale across the Gobi Desert.

He wanted to pull his hand back.

He wanted to push her away.

He wanted to escape this room where he was completely losing control.

But his body utterly betrayed his will.

The hand she was pressing didn’t pull away; instead, his fingers curled slightly, unconsciously.

Through that thin layer of fabric, he clearly sensed an even deeper softness.

Boom!

Qin Lie’s world completely collapsed.

Reason, morality, discipline… all those things engraved in his bones since childhood were burned to ashes in this instant.

“Husband…”

Seeing his bloodshot eyes, ragged breathing, and that look of wanting to devour someone yet desperately restraining himself, Jiang Wu knew the timing was right.

She let go of his hand and instead wrapped her arms around his neck like a beautiful serpent coiling.

She tilted her face up, those watery eyes veiled by a misty haze that could drown a person.

Her lips were slightly parted, like ripe cherries waiting to be plucked.

“Do you want it too?” Her breath, fragrant as orchids, brushed his ear.

Every word was like a drop of boiling oil, splashing into Qin Lie’s heart, already a raging inferno.

Qin Lie didn’t answer.

Or rather, he was no longer capable of answering.

His mind was a blank; all thought was overrun by primal instinct.

Looking at the magnified, innocent-yet-seductive face before him, at those red lips parting and closing, uttering fatal temptation, he could no longer hold back.

He lowered his head and fiercely covered that ceaselessly talking little mouth.

This kiss was completely different from the last one.

The previous one was her initiative, tentative and inexperienced. This one was his plunder, filled with a wildness and dominance suppressed for far too long.

There was no trace of gentleness, let alone technique. It was like a wolf starved for too long finally finding its long-sought prey, carrying a ferocity that seemed ready to swallow her whole.

“Mmm…”

Jiang Wu was caught off guard by this sudden, rough kiss.

She could feel his thin lips were so hot, hot enough to scorch her very soul.

His aura also became intensely aggressive. That masculine scent, mixed with sweat, enveloped her overwhelmingly, leaving her with no escape.

Jiang Wu’s heart beat even faster, her body beginning to soften uncontrollably.

Although she was a temptress from the Unity Joy Sect, when it came to practical experience, she was also a novice.

All her theoretical knowledge seemed pale and powerless before this completely unrestrained lion, Qin Lie.

She could only wrap her arms more tightly around his neck, clumsily responding to his kiss.

Her compliance acted like a catalyst, driving Qin Lie even more wild.

He was no longer satisfied with just the entanglement of lips and teeth.

Holding her, he flipped over, pinning her beneath him.

The not-so-wide wooden bed let out a protesting creak under the strain.

Qin Lie’s hands moved over her body like they carried fire, igniting a wildfire wherever they touched.

He tore open the frog buttons of her simple blue cotton dress, his movements rough and urgent.

When his large hands, calloused from years of holding guns, touched her skin as fine as the best silk for the first time, his entire body shuddered violently.

It was an ultimate sensation he had never experienced before.

Soft, smooth, warm… so beautiful it almost brought tears to his eyes.

He thought he would be nervous, at a loss.

But in reality, when he truly touched her, many things seemed to come naturally.

It was the most primal instinct engraved in a man’s very blood and bones.

The temperature in the room rose higher and higher, the air becoming thick and ambiguous.

Outside the window, moonlight poured like water, casting a pool of clear light through the window lattice; inside the room, there was nothing but intoxicating allure and scorching heat.

The woman’s muffled sobs and the man’s heavy breathing intertwined, composing the most primitive and moving symphony of life.

The night was still long.

For Qin Lie, this was the longest and wildest night of his life.

It was as if he had opened the door to a brand new world, behind which lay endless ruin and obsession.

He finally understood what those phrases in books meant – “land of tenderness,” “tomb for heroes.”

He thought, in this lifetime, he was probably truly done for by this woman’s hand, and willingly so.

…

He didn’t know how much time had passed. The sky outside the window had begun to show the pale light of dawn when the storm in the room finally gradually subsided.

Qin Lie lay on the bed, eyes open, staring at the familiar yet unfamiliar roof beams above.

His mind was still a bit dazed. His body felt hollowed out, exhausted and weary, yet his spirit was unusually exhilarated.

Lying next to him was the woman who had driven him out of control all night.

Jiang Wu was already asleep.

She curled up in the crook of his arm like a satisfied kitten. Her long eyelashes cast small, fan-like shadows under her eyes, her cheeks still flushed with the lingering passion. Her lips were slightly pouted, red and full, as if ravaged by him for too long.

Looking at her defenseless sleeping face, the hardest part of Qin Lie’s heart was completely filled with a feeling named “softness.”

He reached out, wanting to touch her face as before, but his hand stopped halfway.

He saw the ambiguous red scratch marks on his arm and chest.

They were her “masterpiece,” left during the throes of passion.

Qin Lie’s face burned red again instantly.

The crazy scenes from last night uncontrollably flooded his mind again.

Her crying, her pleas, her initiative, her response… each image was like a heavy hammer smashing against his heart, stirring his soul and leaving his mouth dry.

“You enchantress…”

He uttered these two words from his throat, his voice carrying a trace of doting and helplessness even he himself hadn’t noticed.

He lowered his head and gently pressed a kiss to her forehead.

This kiss was no longer about plunder or punishment, but held a hint of careful cherishing.

As if sensing something in her sleep, Jiang Wu smacked her lips, nuzzled further into his embrace, found a more comfortable position, and let out a soft, muffled murmur from her mouth.

“Husband…”

Qin Lie’s heart instantly melted into a puddle.

He held her and closed his eyes.

Fine.

If he’s done for, then he’s done for.

This woman was his lawfully wedded wife. Doing these things was perfectly natural.

He, Qin Lie, would take responsibility for her.

For a lifetime.
