[The First seal is Broken.]

[Awakening dormant powers…]

A strange, unfamiliar sensation began to emanate from the very center of his chest.Full novel: Shadow Slave: Lord Of Emotions — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

It wasn’t pain, nor was it heat it was something far more fundamental, almost terrifying in its depth.

Right where his frail mortal heart rested, a point of intense density suddenly ignited.

It felt like a dying star compressed to a microscopic point, pulsing with a slow, heavy rhythm that reverberated through his bones.

Then, it burst.

A sudden, overwhelming surge of energy flooded through his veins and arteries, rushing into every cell of his broken body.

The emaciated muscles, brittle bones, lingering illness, and injuries from the collapse، everything was washed away in an instant.

It felt as if his entire body were being purged, broken down, and reforged from the inside out.

The suffocating tightness in his lungs cleared.

The bone-deep exhaustion vanished.

His shattered ankle and damaged tissues healed beneath an invisible, irresistible force, restoring his frail body to a state of unnatural vitality.

Marcus closed his eyes, his mind struggling to comprehend the sheer impossibility of what was happening inside him.

In his past life, physical recovery and peak conditioning required months of strict medical treatment, brutal physical training, and painstaking rehabilitation.

Yet this phenomenon was rewriting his body in seconds, defying everything he knew about modern medicine and human physiology.

With every pulse radiating from that newborn reservoir of power within his chest, his physical awareness sharpened.

His vision grew clearer, his reflexes quicker, and the heavy fatigue that had weighed him down since awakening in this body simply vanished.

He had no name for whatever this power was.

He had no knowledge of What is happening to him.

All Marcus knew, with the cold, razor-sharp clarity of a soldier, was the raw physical reality: the frail, broken body that had crawled onto that altar was gone.

His body had been reforged from the ground up, stronger, healthier, and far more dangerous than before.

After a few moments, the intense surge of power began to recede, replaced by a soothing, profound sense of cold.

It was strangely comforting.

The cold washed over him like a calm tide, temporarily dulling the suffocating weight of guilt and trauma that usually tormented Marcus’s mind.

For the first time since the nuclear destruction of his Nation, his consciousness felt still.

He found himself wishing, if only for a second, that this cold numbness would last forever.

Slowly, the icy sensation drifted upward, concentrating behind his eyes.

The scenery shattered.

The endless black void and its glittering stars melted away, replaced by an entirely different world.

Marcus now stood beneath an open sky, staring out over a vast, tranquil ocean of deep violet water.

Above him, a single, lonely purple sun hung suspended in the abyss, casting an eerie, radiant glow across the silent waves.

The sheer stillness of the landscape brought a level of peace Marcus had never achieved in his previous life.

‘Where am I now?’ he thought, scanning the purple horizon.

‘Am I going back to my body, or is this another layer of this madness?’

He stood there for a few moments, bathed in the quiet hum of the realm, before his eyes drifted back toward the violet sun.

At first glance, its rays had felt soothing.

But as Marcus locked his gaze onto the burning orb, he felt something else a chaotic storm of emotions stirring within its core.

Hatred…

grief…

malice…

despair.

Marcus couldn’t discern where these buried feelings originated or why an entire spectrum of human agony was trapped inside a celestial body.

But before he could analyze the phenomenon further, the inorganic voice abruptly pulled him back toward reality.

[Awakening Aspect Ability.]

‘Hasn’t this thing finished yapping yet?’ Marcus grunted internally.

Though he still lacked a comprehensive understanding of what the Spell truly was, his mind had already connected the dots.

It was directly bound to his existence, recording his actions and translating them into tangible information.

Whatever answers he needed about this world, this voice would be his primary source of intelligence.

[Aspect Ability Acquired.]

[Aspect Ability: Assimilation]

[Ability Description: The Perfect Vessel can gradually adapt to foreign forces that enter its body.

The longer the Vessel remains exposed to a power, the more naturally its body and soul adjust to it.

The Vessel can endure forces that would normally overwhelm an ordinary soul, but adaptation does not grant mastery over the power itself.]

Marcus stared at the glowing text, his eyebrows pulling together in cold skepticism.

‘Huh?

What kind of ability is this?

Is this supposed to be my Aspect?’

In modern warfare, emotion was a liability a flaw that compromised judgment, ruined tactical discipline, and got soldiers killed.

The idea of converting erratic psychological states into raw physical or strategic power defied every doctrine he had ever mastered.

Dozens of tactical questions flooded his mind, but he forced them down.

‘First things first…

And to do that, I have to wake up.

How do I get out of here?’

As if responding to his thought, the voice echoed once more through the violet sky, heavy and ominous:

[All power has a price.]

‘No Shit,’

[You have received a Flaw.]

Flaw : Life Stone

Flaw Description: [The Perfect Vessel requires a soul to inhabit it.

Effect: The Life Stone serves as the anchor of the Perfect Vessel’s existence.

If another individual destroys the host’s Life Stone, that individual becomes spiritually bound to the host.

If the bound individual dies while the bond remains active, their soul will be transferred into the host, granting them control over the vessel.

Warning: Soul Occupancy.

The original consciousness of the host will not be erased.

However, control of the body will belong to the invading soul.]

Marcus read the floating gold text with a dry, humorless smirk.

The sheer absurdity of the curse was almost comical.

‘Wow.

I genuinely feel sorry for whoever gets stuck with a Flaw like that,’ he thought, shaking his head in mock pity.

‘Imagine having your entire existence, freedom, and bodily control tied to a single stone.

One bad turn, and you become a passenger in your own skin…

Wait…

what the hell you mean with you have received?!?

are you talking to me ??’

Then, the cold, inorganic voice delivered its final, thunderous command, shattering the purple realm into a million fragments:

[Wake up, Heir of Emotions!]

Wait till next chapter when Marcus find out that this is his flaw .

and yes its a brutal flaw .

but we want some dramatic moment .

you know .
