DRAVEN’S POV”Woah!” The big doors flew open and I was not the only one stunned by how she looked.

The entire hall exclaimed at the sight of her.

It was like seeing an angel–a creature specially molded by the hands of the moon goddess herself.Full novel: Sold To A Cursed Alpha — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

My smile and awe was immediately wiped off my face when Logan walked in with her.

The switch was quick, even with the crowd.

Their gasps of admiration soon became whispers of questions.

I stared straight into Logan’s eyes as he drew closer and closer, holding Aria’s hand.

I could feel my chest burning.

He handed her over to me when he was close enough and I was only restricted by the fact that he was a friend and my entire pack and neighboring Alphas were watching.

After I finally managed to accept his courtesy, the ceremony started and I was hopeful it would go smoothly.

“By the power vested in me by the moon goddess and all of Hellbound pack, I now pronounce you…”

”You cannot do that!” The doors flew open once again, this time very strongly, turning all heads in that direction.

She stormed towards the podium.

“Pronounce it before she gets here!” I ordered the priest amidst the confusion.

“Who is she? What is going on?” Aria asked.

The priest didn’t look confused.

He knew exactly who she was.

His eyes asked if I was sure he should do what I was asking.

“Do it!” I yelled.

“I now pronounce your mate-bond sealed!” He said quickly, handing us the scroll.

Aria was still trying to wrap her head around the drama, so I took the scroll, acknowledging we were now mated.

“Raven! How could you do this? I told you I came back for you,” she hit me on the chest.

I signaled Ragner, who was already rushing to me the moment he saw her.

He got to her in no time, stabbing her arm with a sedative.

He threw her over his shoulder and took her out.

The murmurs had filled the room.

People asking questions that I was unwilling to answer.

“You heard it, people. Let the celebration proceed. There’s so much to eat and drink. It’s ceremony day!” I threw a very hazardous speech.

I stormed out through the exit Ragner used, ignoring the voices behind.

The musicians took over with very loud music and the maids brought out the food.

I rushed up the stairs to a room where Ragner was waiting.

“How did she get out?” I barged into the room, locking the door behind me.

“I have no idea.” Ragner genuinely looked confused.

“She almost ruined everything,” I lamented.

“I know, but at least you handled everything.” He replied.

I paced about the room.

“You know you have to take care of this right?” He pointed to her deeply asleep body.

“What do you want me to do? She showed up at the wrong time,” I responded.

“Understood, but the ceremony is over now, would you at least hear her out?” I took a deep breath.

I knew exactly what he was driving at.

“Let me know as soon as she wakes up.” I turned to the door and pulled it open, to my surprise, Aria and Logan were at the door.

Aria ushered herself in, escorted by Logan.

“The party is downstairs,” I said.

“I’m aware.

A party held in both our honors,” she advanced towards the bed, “so, please, will you be kind enough to offer an explanation as to why this woman came to crash the ceremony and why you’re up here with her, instead of down at the ceremony you planned?” I kept my voice soft and respectful.

“I was just returning to the ceremony and we both should do that.” I said, but Aria was hovering over her on the bed and she wouldn’t move.

“I think you should just tell her,” Ragner said.

Logan seemed to agree.

Aria’s face showed she was getting impatient.

“Aria, this is Violetta Nightshade,” I introduced, “years before the moon goddess gave me Helen, we were betrothed…our fathers were inseparable and made a commitment that we’d end up together.” I paused,”When I found Helen, I chose her and Violetta left…”

”And now she’s back,” Aria interrupted.

Her voice was pretty thick.

There was a heavy silence that followed –realization hitting all of us.

“Do you know why she’s back?” Aria was the first one to break the silence.

“What does she want?”

”She showed up in the first hours of this morning and I couldn’t…I didn’t have the time to deal with her.

I hoped that she’d wait, but clearly she wanted something different.

Aria’s face was blank and her silence was even more disturbing.

“Very well then. The party is downstairs.” She walked out of the room and Logan followed.

“What do you think that means?” I asked Ragner.

He was equally scared.

“I don’t know.” He said.

“How long until she wakes up?” I probed.

“Strongest sedative, I’d say three days, but then she has a strong wolf and her spirit greatly fought when injected her so we may want to prepare for less days.”

I nodded.

“Lock her up. I’d join the party.” I rushed to the party and whilst I was glad to see that the tension had completely worn off, people were partying and merrying like Violetta hadn’t just crashed in a few minutes ago, Aria was nowhere in sight and neither was Ella.

“Congratulations Alpha,” a lot of pack members were in my way, trying to pay their compliments.

I fought through the crowd, responding to each one with a shallow nod, but it didn’t make my search any faster or more productive.

Despite the fully ventilated room, I was sweating profusely, moving from one end of the hall to another.

Pack members had stopped paying compliments, because I had gone through each member like twice or three times.

“Has anyone seen Luna?” I announced with a voice loud enough to overshadow the music.

The entire party immediately halted.
