DRAVEN’S POV:
’Logan!
Logan!!
Logan!!!’ He enjoyed pissing me off, pushing all of my buttons.
Even when we were young, he never stopped until he had me in a terrible place.
I paced about, trying to control my rage.
“Are you going to say something?” she queried my pacing after ten minutes.
I took a deep breath.
“Do you want to tell me what that was about?” I saw the shock on her face—the one that made it clear she was not expecting me to demand an explanation and certainly not in the calm tone I used.
Her shock was followed by a moment of silence and stares.
“We got talking about hobbies and I mentioned I would love to learn fencing.
He offered to teach me.” She explained, “It really was nothing.
I just got over excited.
I’m sorry.” I saw her sincerity and remorse and I was well aware I was the first to ruin the ceremony, so I actually had no right to be mad, but that did not stop me from being hurt.
“Fencing, huh?” I asked.
She nodded.
“He said he was among the top of his Alpha training class,” she explained.
I smiled.
“Well, did he tell you who was top of that class?” I probed.
She shook her head and it did not surprise me at all.
“Well, I was, and whatever you need to know about handling a sword, I will teach you,” I made sure to be firm with my speech.
The immediate switch in her facial look was not hard to pick, especially when it was followed by a statement like, “Uh…actually, upon second thought, I think I’d just focus on Ella,”
It stung my heart even more that she was turning down the same offer from me that she offered Logan a hug for.
“Ella would be fine.” I said, “You need a skill after all.” I walked into the bathroom, taking off all my ceremony wear.
The day hadn’t turned out as I expected, but at least I could be glad that it was over.
“Okay buddy, I think it’s time to go.” I said to the mirror. Read this novel at g.com for the best experience.
I took a quick but relaxing bath and as soon as I exited the bathroom, Aria took my place.
I laid in bed and pretended to be asleep the entire time she took a bath.
I left my eyes a little open, too little for her not to notice, but wide enough to see.
She waved her hand over my face and when she was convinced I was sleeping, she dropped her robe and applied lotion on her body.
Her one leg was raised and placed on the chair as she continually rubbed it.
The sight of her stark body, the slow rubbing motion, her flawless skin—all of it together, not only triggered my wolf, it raised my cock, hard and tall.
‘I know this should be a contract, but I need an heir and if this is not perfect, I don’t know what is’.
The sight of her healed my burning heart and filled me with so much peace, I only realized I had slept off when I opened my eyes and realized it was 5am.
I gazed upon her face beside my bed for about fifteen minutes.
I imagined my son, my heir, with her thick hair and blinding smile, with eyes that could charm even the goddess herself.
‘I need an heir,’ I decided.
At 5:30am, I jumped out of bed and went straight to Ragner.
Locating him was not at all difficult.
He was down at the hall clearing the mess from the wedding.
“Good morning, Alpha,” everyone I walked past bowed and acknowledged my presence.
“Alpha,” Ragner bowed, but before he got the chance to send in any pleasantries, I pulled him out the back exit of the hall.
“I want her to carry my child,” I hit him.
His confusion was obvious.
“Violetta?” I only remembered her presence in the pack when he mentioned it, but I quickly waved it off.
She still had two days of sedation.
“Aria,” his jaw dropped.
“That is not a part of the contract,” Ragner said,
“It was specifically stated, she can’t…”
”I know, Ragner.
I know everything the contract says.
I wrote the damn thing.” His face went pale and then worry followed.
“So how do you intend to get her to do that? You already know she can’t wait to leave,” I smiled.
“Who said she has to know?”
Ragner pulled back.
I knew that look.
It was routine at this point.
The same one he wore every time he did not like my plan, which was more often than not.
Ragner was however a loyalist and was going to see to the execution of the plan whether or not he agreed with it.
“The smile on your face is a clear indication you have a plan,” he said.
Just as I was about to respond, we both sighted Logan walking towards us.
He was clearly just waking up.
His hair was messy and his tight vest revealed his chest and abs.
Ragner looked at me.
“The first step of the plan is to eliminate the distraction,” I whispered to Ragner, just before Logan got to us.
“Good morning, Draven,” he said with a faint smile.
“Good morning, Logan,” I kept a straight face.
“Look man, I know what we discussed and yesterday, I promise, I wasn’t trying to ruin your day. I guess she got overwhelmed and…” I wasn’t ready to hear Logan blame her, like I hadn’t been watching him make passes at her ever since he arrived.
“I perfectly understand,” I interrupted.
“I understand, but you do understand you can no longer be here, right?”
Logan immediately looked unhappy, but he nodded affirmatively.
“I’m already packed and I’m just going to shower before I leave. I just wanted to see you first.” I nodded back.
“I’ll leave now,” he turned and headed upstairs to do as he said he was going to.
“Step one of phase one complete,” I whispered to Ragner, more excited than I ever imagined I would be.
