Huo Yuhao clearly did not think too much of it.
He was simply pleasantly surprised to have met someone who would become his classmate in the future.
“I still have a long way to go, so I’ll be heading off.
See you all again someday.”
Huo Yuhao waved goodbye and continued on his way toward the Extreme North.
Xiao Xiao watched Huo Yuhao’s retreating figure with delight.
Such a gentle, handsome boy.
Would she get to see him every day once school started?
Then she could walk beside him and call out…
Wait!
Xiao Xiao suddenly froze.
She narrowed her eyes, looking as though she wanted to cry.
She had completely forgotten to ask his name!
Come back!
I haven’t even asked your name yet!
Xiao Shan looked at the stiffened Xiao Xiao with some amusement and patted her shoulder.
“It’s all right, Xiao Xiao.
You’ll have plenty of chances to see him again, won’t you?”
“…”
…
“Hmm, what a coincidence.
I’ll be counting on you when the time comes~ Hahaha~”
Inside the Spirit Sea Realm, Skydream Ice Worm deliberately pitched her voice higher as she imitated the way Huo Yuhao had spoken before leaving, making it sound both cheesy and ridiculous.
Huo Yuhao had finally picked up a few lines from novels that he thought sounded cool, but hearing them come out of Skydream’s mouth gave them an entirely different flavor.
Watching Skydream wiggle her eyebrows and make that infuriatingly smug face, Huo Yuhao felt a wave of burning embarrassment rush over him.
Unable to endure her teasing any longer, he protested, “Sister Skydream, stop imitating me!”
Skydream could barely hold back her laughter, but she still replied, “Fine, fine.
What a shame, though.
Your level still isn’t high enough.
If you want to take it up a notch, you should learn how that Little Gray Orb talks.”
“…”
“Hmph!
I’m ignoring you!”
“Hey, Yuhao, that’s cheating!
You can’t just do that!”
Huo Yuhao turned his face away in a huff and refused to answer.
“Yuhao, Xiao Yuhao, Sister was wrong…”
“…”
Huo Yuhao kept his expression rigid.
He deliberately emptied his mind and refused to acknowledge Skydream.
Skydream’s eyes shifted mischievously before she let out a soft sigh.
“What a pity.
I was going to teach you how to improve your Spiritual Power, but I suppose I’ll have to wait until you forgive me.”
The moment Skydream finished speaking, Huo Yuhao’s head twitched slightly.
He instinctively leaned a little toward her, but after a moment, he pulled back again.
Clearly, he still could not bring himself to swallow his pride.
Huo Yuhao’s tiny reaction did not escape Skydream’s notice.
If anything, it only made her find the whole thing more amusing.
“Oh, what a shame.
Once your Spiritual Power improves, the range of your Spiritual Detection will increase too.
It would even benefit your cultivation…”
“And your Spirit Sea Realm could expand even further…”
Huo Yuhao finally broke.
His gaze wandered as he deliberately avoided Skydream’s eyes, giving in with obvious reluctance.
“Then…
Sister Skydream, you’re not allowed to tease me whenever you feel like it anymore, and you can’t imitate the way I talk either.
As for the cultivation method…
please teach me.”
Success!
Skydream felt immensely pleased with herself, but she also knew when to stop.
She immediately put on a serious expression and began teaching him.
…
“Sister Skydream, is this method of yours actually legit?”
“Guaranteed, guaranteed!
I’m a Spiritual-type powerhouse.
You think I’d teach you some worthless cultivation method?”
Huo Yuhao sat down in meditation, gathered his thoughts, and focused his mind.
His consciousness soon entered the Spirit Sea Realm.
The entire Spirit Sea Realm floated within an endless pure-white void, its pale-blue waters clear and smooth like a mirror.
It was already several times larger than when Huo Yuhao had first encountered it.
His Master and Master’s wife did not appear, while the Little Gray Orb remained motionless where it had been.
Skydream sensed Huo Yuhao’s location and floated straight over.
“Come on, I’ll teach you.
First, close your eyes and spread your arms.”
Huo Yuhao obediently did as instructed.
While he waited for Skydream’s next direction, a faint, delicate fragrance unique to her drifted past his nose.
Skydream Ice Worm raised her arms, wrapped them naturally around Huo Yuhao’s waist, and pressed herself completely against him.
Huo Yuhao instantly froze.
The Spirit Sea Realm was where his mind and emotions were at their most sensitive, and every sensation there was magnified immensely.
At such close range, every detail became unbelievably vivid.
Skydream’s touch was strangely warm yet cool, and even the soft sound of her breathing reached him with perfect clarity.
Boom—
A scorching heat exploded from deep within Huo Yuhao’s heart, spreading through his consciousness and into every part of his body.
His face instantly turned bright red, the flush spreading from his cheeks all the way to his ears.
His tightly shut eyes trembled slightly.
Completely at a loss, he stiffened like a statue and did not dare move even an inch.
“Sister Skydream, stop…
joking around.”
“What joke?
The quality of my spiritual body is unique across the entire continent!
If we stay pressed together like this, cultivating will be twice as effective with half the effort!”
Skydream Ice Worm sounded so perfectly serious that Huo Yuhao could hardly argue with her.
He could only force himself to clear his mind and follow Skydream’s guidance as he cultivated.
Skydream felt how tense Huo Yuhao’s body was and secretly laughed to herself, but she did not expose him.
Instead, she continued helping him refine his foundation.
…
“Phew…”
Huo Yuhao slowly opened his eyes as the blue light within them gradually faded.
He could indeed feel that his Spiritual Power had improved somewhat faster than before.
It was just that the position they had used…
Forget it.
As long as it could make him stronger, it was a good method.
Suppressing the lingering embarrassment in his heart, Huo Yuhao could not help asking curiously, “Sister Skydream, about that Ice Empress you mentioned.
Why did you choose her?”
“Well…”
Skydream Ice Worm narrowed her eyes and looked upward into the Spirit Sea Realm, deliberately putting on an unfathomable expression.
“I chose Bing Bing not only because she has almost no chance of surviving her 400,000-year Heavenly Tribulation.”
“Between the two of us lies a love story so extraordinary it could shake heaven and earth and move ghosts and gods to tears.
You see, back then…”
Love?!
Huo Yuhao had never expected Sister Skydream to have a romantic history.
But even such shocking news did not make him interrupt Skydream’s recollection.
Instead, he obediently sat up straight and prepared to listen.
“…And that was how Bing Bing and I parted ways~”
After finishing her story, Skydream Ice Worm even wiped the lingering tears from her cheeks.
“Tch, boring.
This old man thought it’d be something much more exciting.
Still, ending up the way you did takes a certain kind of talent.”
After tossing out that remark, the Little Gray Orb immediately flew away.
“…You Little Gray Orb!
Just wait until Sister sees you again!
Aaaah!
You’re driving me crazy!”
Huo Yuhao was equally speechless.
After hearing Sister Skydream’s story, the only word he could think of to describe it was unbelievable.
So Sister Skydream and the Ice Empress had only met a handful of times, and every single encounter had basically been Skydream running, the Ice Empress chasing, and Skydream unable to escape even if she grew wings?
“Anyway, when the time comes, I’ll lure Bing Bing over, restrain her, and then we can all sit down and talk things through.
Problem solved!”
Skydream Ice Worm looked at Huo Yuhao, who was still staring downward in thought, and assumed that with his personality, he must already be considering his future cultivation.
But that was not the case at all.
For once, Huo Yuhao was not thinking about cultivation.
His mind was still struggling to process Skydream’s absurd romantic history.
…
The next day.
Huo Yuhao, lying flat on his back, first opened his eyes within the Spirit Sea Realm.
Skydream had told him yesterday that sleeping like this would also help his cultivation, so he had followed her advice.
He gently turned his head to the right and saw Skydream facing him, curled up against one of his arms.
The young girl was still fast asleep, her breathing calm and peaceful.
