Harry Osborn had been incredibly busy over the last few days.

Ever since learning that his best friend was Spider-Man, the strong-willed young CEO had resolved to become a superhero himself.

Of course, there was a deeper reason behind this decision.Full novel: Spider-Man’s Multiverse — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

He desperately wanted to shed his dark legacy as the son of the Green Goblin.

And the best way to prove he was different was to become a hero who specialized in hunting down supervillains.

Behind the hidden door in his penthouse lay his father’s original arsenal, complete with the green armor, the flying hoverboard, the pumpkin bombs, and the razor-bats.

Using this deadly gear as a base, Harry mobilized the entire research and development department of the Osborn Corporation.

With the added genius of Doctor Octopus, they conducted a massive, comprehensive upgrade on the equipment.

The reason the two Spider-Men were at the apartment today was to witness the final result of Harry’s hard work.

“I will prove to you that I have enough power to protect others,” Harry said, his eyes gleaming with excitement as he slowly stepped into the hidden armory.

A few minutes later, Harry Osborn emerged.

He was clad in a high-tech platinum and gold suit, hovering slowly out of the room on a brilliantly glowing, golden flying machine.

“From this day forward, my name is the Gold Goblin!” Harry announced.

Three days later.

Noon in Times Square, New York City.

This day was destined to be permanently etched into the memories of countless New Yorkers.

Spider-Man was about to give them an unprecedented, ultimate showdown.

From the early hours of the morning, citizens had poured into Times Square from all five boroughs.

Judging by the sheer density of the crowd, there were easily over three million people packed into the streets.

Fortunately, the NYPD and the National Guard had prepared in advance, setting up massive barricades to seal off the center of the square.

This kept the civilians safe while providing the perfect, open battleground for the heroes and villains.

Meanwhile, the number of people watching the live helicopter broadcasts on their televisions was even more staggering, easily topping a hundred and fifty million viewers worldwide.

Amidst this overwhelming anticipation, two figures in red and blue silently swung down and landed in Times Square.

“Will the Green Goblin actually show up?” the older Spider-Man asked.

Standing on top of a massive LED billboard, he looked down at the unexpectedly dense crowd outside the police barricades, feeling a bit worried about their safety.

“He will come,” Peter said calmly, his tone making it sound like he could read the villain’s mind.

“With his evil, twisted desire to control everything, he cannot possibly miss an event this massive.

For the Green Goblin, this is a rare opportunity that perfectly satisfies his sick need for domination.”

A few minutes later, a figure in gleaming white and gold appeared in the sky.

It was Harry Osborn, making his grand entrance as the Gold Goblin.

Looking out at the seemingly endless sea of people, Harry’s heart started to pound uncontrollably in his chest.

Finally, Doctor Octopus arrived, stepping heavily onto the street in a brand-new suit of thick alloy armor.

Having regained his sanity, Dr.

Otto was determined to atone for his past mistakes, insisting on fighting alongside the heroes today.

The highly unusual team was finally assembled.

Everything was ready.

All they were waiting for was the Green Goblin.

“Is all this grand preparation really just for the Green Goblin?” Dr.

Otto asked, adjusting his mechanical tentacles in confusion.

Peter immediately shook his head.

“Do not underestimate him.

He has not just been sitting around doing nothing for two years.

There is definitely a big surprise waiting for us.”

As if on cue to prove Peter right, several blurry black dots suddenly appeared on the distant horizon.

The dots flew toward them at a terrifying speed, becoming crystal clear in the blink of an eye as they reached the airspace right above Times Square.

Boom!

A massive shadow crashed into the center of the square like a meteor.

As the dust and debris settled, the Rhino’s enormous, armored body slowly stood up.

Standing casually on the beast’s massive shoulders was the Scorpion, his arms crossed and his deadly mechanical tail swaying behind him.

Next, the Vulture flapped his massive, bladed wings and descended slowly from the sky.

Finally, looking exactly like an evil emperor, the Green Goblin arrived.

He rode his iconic hoverboard, surrounded by an elite guard of ten heavily mutated Green Goblin soldiers.

Every single media camera in the square instantly locked onto the Green Goblin.

A second later, the villain’s terrifying, masked face was broadcast across every giant LED screen in Times Square.

The Green Goblin threw his head back and let out a chilling, maniacal laugh.

He was incredibly satisfied with the spectacle.

Just as he had always believed, he was the true ruler of New York, and a ruler deserved exactly this kind of grand reception.

However, the camera focus was just a quick transition for the news crews.

As Peter and the older Spider-Man dropped down from the billboard, the cameras instantly cut away from the villain, focusing all the screens entirely on the two Spider-Men, the Gold Goblin, and Doctor Octopus.

A deafening wave of cheers erupted from millions of people, echoing into the clouds.

The Green Goblin stopped laughing instantly.

Peter raised an eyebrow and pointed a finger at the team of villains standing across the street.

“Dude, you must have had a really productive two years.

You even built your own little team?

I guess life down in the sewers must be pretty comfortable.”

Looking at the four supervillains and the ten intimidating Goblin soldiers, Peter was actually a little surprised.

The soldiers proved that the Green Goblin serum had likely been upgraded and perfected over the last two years.

“Looks like the boss was right.

No matter which universe they are from, every Spider-Man is incredibly annoying,” the Vulture screeched, his eyes locked onto Peter with a deadly glare.

“Green Goblin, surrender now.

You are completely outmatched,” the older Spider-Man warned.

However, he had clearly forgotten how the Green Goblin used dirty tricks to ambush him two years ago.

“Surrender?

Let your friends swallow my pumpkin bombs first, and then I might consider it!” the Green Goblin roared.

With a flick of his wrists, the Green Goblin hurled ten glowing pumpkin bombs straight at the heroes.

Driven by their synchronized spider-sense, Peter and the older Spider-Man raised their hands at the exact same time, firing a massive, dense net of webbing.

With a powerful, coordinated heave, the two heroes caught all the explosives and launched them high into the sky.

Boom!

A massive, dazzling explosion of fire lit up the daytime sky, acting like the starting gun for the final battle.

The Rhino lowered his massive head, aiming his dark green, meter-long horn directly at Peter.

Pushing off the ground with all four limbs, he charged forward, shattering the thick asphalt beneath his feet like it was soft tofu.

Peter’s spider-sense screamed a critical warning.

Using his immense core strength, he executed a perfect, high-speed backflip.

The Rhino’s deadly horn grazed Peter’s back, missing him by less than a centimeter.

Unable to stop his massive momentum, the Rhino flew past Peter like a ground-to-ground missile, violently crashing through the front window of a nearby souvenir shop.

Above them, the Vulture flapped his bladed wings and swooped down at the older Spider-Man like a hawk hunting its prey.

But before he could land a strike, Doctor Octopus stepped in.

The heavy mechanical tentacles slammed violently into the Vulture’s spiky wings, sending a shower of bright sparks raining down on the street.

Seeing the chaos, the Green Goblin grinned evilly and flew his hoverboard higher into the air, planning to use his altitude to rain pumpkin bombs down on the heroes.

But Harry Osborn had been waiting for this exact moment.

Stepping up on his golden glider, the Gold Goblin threw a barrage of glowing golden boomerangs to intercept his father’s attacks.

The moment this ultimate battle began, it instantly descended into the most brutal, chaotic close-quarters combat New York City had ever seen.
