Anzari’s POV

*****

There were a few things or people in this world that could genuinely upset Anzari.Full novel: Spider On My Clit — read the rest free on NovelCodex.org

Unless you went beyond this world to the plane of the gods, then you’d find numerous people worthy enough to ruffle his multiple limbs.

Zakar right here was one of those people.

They were indeed old friends at some point millennia back.

Cousins if you wanted to dissect the messy family tree every deity in their pantheon shared.

But things have soured since he left.

“Zakar,” Anzari muttered, his hands on Danielle’s body tightening like he was afraid she’d get snatched.

Odd.

Very odd.

Yet he ignored the feeling and carefully laid the unconscious mortal woman on the cold tarred floor.

Several meters ahead of him Zakar’s lips curved into a broader grin.

“I thought you’d be at least happy to see me.” He cooed, pushing himself off the wall he was leaning on.

Then he gradually stepped into the moonlight, revealing more of himself.

Like most other deities Zakar was a being with beauty any mortal would be in awe of.

From his chiselled muscles under the constrictions of his black outfit.

To the light stubble lining his sharp jawline.

Then there were those dark eyes.

Nearly pitch black.

Still, they managed to drink up any light they beheld, creating a gleam that was divine in every sense of the word.

In simpler human terms… he was an annoying prick.

“And why,” Anzari began, arching a brow, “would I be happy to see you after specifically avoiding you and the others?”

“Because,” Zakar was quick, folding his arms, “you know that even now I’m the only one you can trust. The only one among our brethren who doesn’t see you as an aberration or a threat to annihilate.”

Anzari scoffed.

“Trust, you say?”

“Yes.” The playfulness in Zakar’s face shifted into something serious.

Something grim.

That instantly pulled Anzari’s attention.

After a few moments too long, Zakar sighed.

“It’s your brother.” A pause.

“He’s discovered you escaped to the Earth realm. And as we speak he’s sent a few of the others to find you.”

Anzari’s fists clenched slowly.

Primordials above have mercy…

“Why are you telling me this?” He asked cautiously.

“Why go through all the trouble of searching half the continent to find me as you said?”

Zakar stared at him as though he couldn’t believe he said that.

For the fraction of a second Anzari thought he saw warmth in his eyes. This chapter was copied from g.com without permission.

“You’re still my oldest friend, Anzari.” The god of chaos murmured.

Anzari’s chest suddenly trembled with a sliver of guilt.

Until, “Plus, I’m one of the gods your brother sent.”

The spider god’s previous alertness returned, his silver eyes flaring with a deadly, molten light.

Zakar immediately raised his hands.

“Easy, big guy,” he chuckled, shining those annoyingly white dentures.

“I really mean no harm. Just here to warn you before the others start showing up.”

He winked after that.

“You’re welcome.”

Shadows around the alleyway began shifting unnaturally just then.

Anzari paused.

Then realisation flashed across his face.

“So you’re just going to leave? After giving out such vital information?”

“… What?” Zakar seemed genuinely confused.

Then his eyes darted to Danielle.

“You want me to tag in with your unholy deed? I usually spend my time with swords, not—”

“Idiot.” Anzari felt like banishing him out of his sight.

“What if my brother questions you about my whereabouts?”

“I’ll tell him the truth…”

Those words made Anzari’s shoulders square.

Ah, of course.

Here he was thinking he wouldn’t need to fight.

“… That I found nothing useful about you,” Zakar slipped that in with a cynical cackle.

“Ugh, you should’ve seen the look on your face right now. I should really consider getting one of those eye phones humans invented in the last decade. Just to capture moments like this.”

Anzari closed his eyes and heaved.

“iPhone.”

“Hm?”

“It’s ‘iphone’. Not eye phone.”

Zakar grinned, raising a finger.

“Right.” He chuckled, the shadows around him growing thicker.

“Careful, old friend. I can already tell you’re getting familiar with these mortals.”

His dark eyes lowered to Anzari’s exposed member.

Then to the human woman lying by his feet.

“Too familiar.”

The shadows snapped.

In the next second Zakar disappeared. Follow the newest chapters on g.com.

As though he was never there to begin with.

When it became clear that the chaos god was gone, Anzari sighed.

His gaze dropped to Danielle’s slumbering form.

“Let’s get you home.”

★★★★★

In a matter of a few minutes, Anzari brought Danielle back to her bedroom’s window—the latter still nestled peacefully in his arms.

Only after adjusting her clothing did he place her on the bed.

Her phone buzzed with a few messages he didn’t bother checking at first.

Until he saw Simon’s name on a couple of them.

Curious, he picked it up without clicking on the messages, using Danielle’s face to open the phone.

He’d seen her do that enough times to know it unlocked it.

>” So you didn’t hear about my house burning down?”< Came the first message.

>” You’ll probably ignore this… I don’t know why I’m even trying to reach out rn.”<

The more he read the more disgusted Anzari got.

Danielle really had to endure this for years?

“No one deserves such an annoying bug as a life partner.” He muttered, placing the phone on the bedside drawer.

With one last look at Danielle, the spider god turned, returning to his spider form.

Once he was within the containment of the glass terrarium, Anzari began thinking.

Tonight he’d let himself get carried away.

Just like he had last night when he went out of his way to mess with Simon’s life a bit.

Stepping out of this house, out of his spider form… It was dangerous.

The sheer fact that Zakar was already able to find him told him the others won’t find it difficult either.

And as much as he got constantly annoyed by the chaos god’s antics… he’d be content with them if it meant not having to meet any of the others.

Anzari’s multiple little eyes shifted to Danielle again.

For a long moment, he simply watched her sleep.

Then something made him freeze.

His body went rigid.

Slowly, he turned toward the bedroom window.

There was no one there now.

Just the gentle night breeze blowing in.

But for the faintest second he almost felt like someone was watching him.

Waiting for the right moment to strike.

Soon enough the feeling vanished, gone so completely that even Anzari questioned if he had imagined it.

Yet one thought refused to leave him.

If Zakar had found him this quickly… had one of the others already found Danielle?

Hey, little chaos gremlin!
