[You have arrived at the True Origins!]
[You have encountered the boss of the hidden chamber!]
[Supreme General, Prince of Darkness— Agnes]
Michael stood frozen in place, staring at what he could only describe as a living abomination. His muscles tensed, but his body refused to move.
The pressure coming from the Supreme General was so overwhelming that even breathing became difficult.
Every instinct in his body warned him of the danger before him, and for the first time, Michael felt something far greater than genuine fear. He knew that if he made even the slightest mistake, he could lose his life on the spot, literally.
’T—This is... The Supreme General...?’ He stammered in his own thoughts.
He had faced the Abyssal Tyrant, and even the boss of the first level, Serpent King Naga, but he never felt this kind of overwhelming power from any of them, and the Supreme General wasn’t even the boss of the second level of the Abyss.
The Supreme General slowly raised its head towards Michael before coming to a stop. The narrow opening in its helmet, where its eyes should have been, suddenly began to glow an obsidian purple.
Almost immediately, a tremendous pressure wave swept through the entire throne room. The ground ripped apart as the terrifying force surged towards Michael and slammed into his body.
His pupils shrank, and his stomach caved in from the impact before he forcefully spat out a mouthful of blood as his body was violently lifted off the ground, and sent crashing into the wall.
He fell face-first to the ground with a heavy thud, with blood dripping from his mouth.
Michael grunted in pain as he slowly placed a hand on his stomach and pushed himself up to his knees. He stared at the Supreme General, who hadn’t even moved an inch from its throne.
The sharp pain in his stomach told him just how badly he had been injured. Yet, despite the damage, and the constant blur in his vision, he forced himself to stay conscious.
"H—He’s a monster." He gasped, trying to catch his breath. "All it did was look at me, and I’m already this badly wounded?"
Michael gritted his teeth and forced himself back to his feet, ignoring the sharp pain in his stomach.
After taking a final breath, he stretched both hands forward and summoned the Naga’s Fangs. In an instant, the two daggers appeared in his hands as he tightened his grip.

"Damn it... I can’t... I can’t let it end here, not now." He had no plan, no strategy on how he could possibly even lay a finger on the monstrosity in front of him.
But if he didn’t do something in the next seven minutes, not only would the system permanently be deleted, but he as well.
"All I can do right now..." He immediately recalled, not too long ago he received his rewards for defeating Naga, and one of those rewards was a hundred trial points.
By standards, trial points were more difficult to obtain in the Abyss than the rare resources that the four continents crafted their state of the art weaponry with.
He immediately used up all the trial points he had earned, put 50 trial points into his strength, 30 into his agility and 20 into his stamina.
Michael felt the sudden change inside his body. His recovery speed was partially heightened by a considerate margin, and the pain in his stomach was no longer as severe as before.
Michael tightened his grip on the dagger in his right hand before throwing it straight at the Supreme General’s face with all his strength. However, just as the blade approached the Supreme General, it suddenly stopped mid-air, as if it had struck an invisible wall.
But that wasn’t Michael’s plan.
The moment the dagger stopped, Michael was already above the Supreme General, gripping the second dagger tightly with both hands. His speed and strength had increased tremendously, making him at least three times stronger and faster than before.
With a loud battle cry, Michael descended towards the Supreme General, driving the blade straight towards the top of its head.
Just before the blade could strike the Supreme General’s helmet, the dagger suddenly shattered into a million pieces.
Michael froze in midair, his eyes widening in disbelief as he stared at the broken fragments.
"W—What...?" The Supreme General didn’t even look up.
"It shattered Naga Fangs... That easily?"
It was then that the Supreme General looked up at Michael, and his eyes widened as he instinctively crossed both arms in front of his chest.
The next moment, another tremendous pressure wave slammed into him, sending him flying backwards and crashing into the wall once again.
However, this time, the impact wasn’t as brutal as before. Thanks to his increased strength, speed, and stamina, Michael was able to withstand more of the force, though the impact still left him in pain.

"Wait... The system said I was prohibited from using Origin based abilities, but because the timer was drastically halved, I failed to consider that the Celestial Spark skill isn’t an Origin based ability."
He looked forward at the Supreme General with anticipation. "That’s right! It’s an extracted ability that once belonged to the Second Origin of flames before being evolved by the Origin Evolution System."
A grin appeared on his face.
He stretched out his hand and placed his thumb against his index and middle fingers. "Let’s see if you’ll still remain cocky after this." Then he flicked his fingers forward.
[You have activated the Divine Grade Skill (Celestial Spark)]
A sharp beam of light shot out from his hand, sizzling and evaporating the water in the air by the slightest of touch as it raced at the Supreme General.
BOOM!
A blinding light erupted in a powerful explosion that engulfed the entire Throne room.
The ceiling above was shattered like glass, the castle itself trembled greatly at the influx of power, and for a brief moment, the entire Throne room, just like the first time he used the skill, turned white, almost as if the world itself had temporarily shut down.
Then, just as suddenly, everything returned to normal, with the grounds of the throne room completely destroyed.
As the light died down, the red carpet as well as the elevated throne was completely intact, almost like it had absolutely no effect on it.
But the Supreme General wasn’t on the throne anymore.
Micheal blinked. "Did I get him?" He looked down, but there wasn’t any system notification.
As the dust settled beside the throne, Michael’s eyes shot open. Through the fading dust, he saw the Supreme General still standing beside its throne, completely unmoved.
"You’ve got to be kidding me! Even after that!?"

"Tsk!" Michael stretched his hand forward and flicked his fingers twice, unleashing two more Celestial Sparks towards the Supreme General.
However, the moment the Supreme General placed its hand on the hilt of its sword, Michael’s blood ran cold.
The sword was still sheathed, yet he could already feel the immense power hidden within it. It was raw and untamed, far beyond anything he had encountered before.
The next moment, the Supreme General drew its sword. A dark aura covered the blade as it swung forward, slicing through both Celestial Sparks with a single strike. The two attacks vanished instantly, their power negated by nothing more than a mere touch of the sword.
But that wasn’t all.
A terrifying shockwave erupted from his swing, tearing through the ground and sweeping Michael off his feet. The force continued forward, ripping through the entire castle and reducing the structure, which stood more than fifty meters tall, to dust.
In the blink of an eye, the massive castle was gone. Only the elevated throne and the red carpet beneath it remained under the darkness of the Abyss.
"AAARGH!" Michael crashed into the ground with a loud thud, spitting out a mouthful of blood.
A great pain spread throughout his body, he could barely move, and he couldn’t even tell where the worst of the injuries were coming from.

The Supreme General slowly walked towards Michael, its heavy footsteps echoing through the ruined throne room. When it reached him, it stopped and looked down at his battered body. For a few moments, a complete silence ensued between the both of them.
Then, without warning, the Supreme General drove its foot straight into Michael’s stomach.
Michael’s pupils shrank as his mouth was forced open in pain. A stream of saliva escaped his lips as the force sent him flying into the air.
Before he could even recover, the Supreme General followed and began unleashing a series of punches and kicks.

Each strike that slammed into Michael’s body felt like the force of a high speed train in motion, sending him flying from one direction to another.
He could barely react before another blow landed, each impact causing even greater pain as his already broken body was battered relentlessly.
The Supreme General delivered one final, gut-wrecking blow that sent Michael crashing a into the ground, creating a crater a few feet deep with him in it.
Thrn the supreme general descended and landed right in front of him.

Michael could barely hold on to his consciousness. His eyes were half-closed, and his vision had become so blurry that he could barely make out the Supreme General standing above him. This story is hosted at novelping.com.
All he could see was the faint, fading glow of its obsidian-purple eyes as his consciousness slowly slipped away.

The Supreme General gripped the hilt of its massive sword and slowly raised it high above its head. The dark aura surrounding the blade grew stronger as it prepared to deliver the final blow to Michael.
Then, the Supreme General brought its massive sword down towards Michael’s head.
The moment the blade descended, everything went dark.
His body floated in the same pitch-black void he had encountered twice before.
There was no pain.
No sound.
No colour.
No regret, and no anger.
There was only an eerie silence as he drifted through the endless darkness, just as he had the first time.
Just then, A wave of memories suddenly flashed through Michael’s mind.
From his birth in his previous world to the day his mother died, followed by the death of his father as he fought alongside the resistance against the New Nexus.
He saw his friends held captivity with him, their desperate pleas for help and their brutal executions carried out right before his eyes. Then came the memory of his own death in that world.
Finally, his memories shifted to this world, to the life he had built after his rebirth, and to the final death of the only friend he had ever made here.
The next second, the overwhelming rage buried deep within himself came rushing back. The pain of losing his mother and father, the helplessness he felt watching his friends die, and the hatred he had carried from his previous world all resurfaced at once.
The memories began switching between each other, faster and faster.
His friends being executed, his own death, and the countless moments of suffering flashed through his mind. With each passing memory, his rage grew stronger, mixing with the unbearable pain of every loss he had ever experienced.
Then came the final moments of Raphael’s life.
And Michael’s rage reached its peak, and everything went blank.
[Allocated time remaining: 00:00:45]
For a few moments, complete silence filled the void.
Then, Michael’s eyes snapped open, glowing with a bright purple light.
Almost instinctively, he raised both hands and caught the Supreme General’s massive sword just before it could strike his head.
"No... I can’t die... Not now!"
Michael’s anger flared as an ominous purple aura exploded from his body. He pushed the Supreme General’s massive sword away from him with both hands, sending the towering figure sliding several feet backwards.

He got up to his feet, ignoring the searing pain coursing through him.
"I can’t die here! Not while those bastards still breathe!" Michael dashed straight towards the Supreme General.
The Supreme general, seemingly in shock, swung its sword at him, but Michael dodged at the last moment. Then hr clenched his fist and drove a powerful punch into the general’s midsection, sending the massive knight flying backwards several meters before crashing into a tree, but it still stood on it’s feet.

"If this is the fucked up path life laid out for me, then so be it!" He dashed forward at the Supreme General again, summoning the only pair of Naga’s Fangs that remained intact.
The purple glow in his eyes grew brighter.
"I don’t care what happens anymore! Until I send those bastards to hell, I’ll defy it! I’ll defy the path that fate assigned to me! Until I have their heads!"
[Ding!]
